In doing some reading of Tom Watson’s writing on the Leo Frank case I came across an interesting comment on Haiti from 1915. (Watson was the only media figure who argued for Frank’s guilt and for the justice of Frank’s lynching.) Watson quotes a passage from a New Republic article on Frank’s lynching that illustrates the common perception of Haiti at the time. Like the rest of the mainstream media of the time, The New Republic was condemning the lynching of Leo Frank, comparing Georgia with Haiti, which is pretty much the worst thing you could say about a society:
A people which cannot preserve its legal fabric from violence is unfit for self-government. It belongs in the category of communities like Haiti, comunities which have to be supervised and protected by more civilized powers. Georgia is in that humiliating position today. If the Frank case is evidence of Georgia’s political development, then Georgia deserves to be known as the black sheep of the American Union.
In short, nothing much has changed in Haiti in 100 years. The only exception is the attitudes of the liberal media: The New Republic‘s liberal politics didn’t prevent it from attributing Haiti’s troubles to its lack of civilization.
The US occupied Haiti from 1915 to 1934, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a de facto occupation again. Haiti is already on welfare — a “Republic of NGOs” where half the budget comes from foreign aid and 3000 NGOs operate most government services, including education and health care. (A search on Haiti and NGOs turns up lot of articles blaming Haiti’s problems on poorly managed charity or as a modern form of imperialism! See, e.g., here, here, and here.)
The other thing that has changed in 100 years is that now there is a very real danger is that Haitians will now be allowed to immigrate in huge numbers to the US. VDARE.com’s blog is an indispensable source of information on this. As Rob Sanchez writes, Haiti is about to become our Camp of the Saints. There are sure to be hundreds of thousands of orphaned children and others pulling at America’s heart strings. And as Patrick Cleburne notes, their neighbors in the Dominican Republic are not so stupid, but already there are calls for mass airlifts of Haitian children to the US. Will the first Black president in American history stop it. I rather doubt it.
But if there is a huge influx of Haitians, I do think that the great majority of Whites (apart from the Angelina Jolie types and professors in the humanities and social sciences) will recoil against it. It would be a politically risky move for an administration that already has little support among White Americans.

I recently watched on the Movies4Men2 Sky Channel, which broadcasts a mix of adventure movies and documentaries a programme about the sustained bombing which the Americans and British inflicted upon Hamburg.
Survivors of this real holocaust gave their recollections and film of the damage being inflicted and the aftermath of the heavy bomber raids were shown, though this was all twisted metal and ruined building and not the dead bodies of the daily civil catastrophe which overtook the Hanseatic port building up from “light” raids in 1940 through to the near total mayhem raids from 43 with the July firestorm on to the destruction of the synthetic oil processing plants and then the communication and transport infrastructure which crippled supplies not only of war materiel but of foodstuffs.
Then it talked about the surrender of the city to the British by the Mayor and the occupation which followed. What followed was starvation rations and slave labour on 1000-1200 calories a day. But the organisation of clearance of the rubble and the reconstruction of bridges and the ports was achieved in the months following using these harsh methods.
Hardship endured by the lack of electrical and motot power and water supplies, scrapping by living and existing in ramshackle cellars, hard conditions something akin to support troops was the lot of the German population in Hamburg.
So a diet of living with death and instant catastrophe in wartime and a slow gruelling life of starvation rations and hard work in peace.
These conditions endured by the Hamburg locals and the German refugees were at the limit of human endurance but did they riot? Did the dead lay in the street unburied? Did they not try to reconstruct as best they could after each bomber raid? The resilience and fortitude of the population must be admired.
Is not the destruction of the Hamburg they knew and the deaths of so many of those they loved or were their neighbours not analogous (you could argue it was a fate far worse despite the pretence of the Haiti earthquake being a never before witnessed apocalypse: the theme tune now being played out in the Mass Media) to what has happened to the Haitian excrement and open-sewer capital of Port-au-prince?
Don’t forget that there are plenty of Haiti unaffected by the earthquake but despite this there is no working civil infrastructure or organisation because what had been left by the various episodes of US occupations had been left to fall into shambolic disrepair.
So what has happened in Haiti? Just another reply of what the Afros did in New Orleans. Hijacking vehicles, rioting, looting, murder, robbery and I’m sure rape. No signs of any organised help by a Afro administration and most of the population hanging around waiting to be fed and watered.
Despicable behaviour like piling bodies in the road to be used as barricades to stop vehicles so you can rob them is excused by the Mass Media as a sign of a desperate people.
At all costs to the manipulating media mind-benders the myth of race meaning nothing must be kept up as a blanket appearance over the whole damn mess.
The Media knows what is happening so it goes into hyper-mode exaggerating the destruction as if it had never been seen before in the whole world.
The Haitians reaction of unreconstructed mayhem and total lack of self-help or self-control the Media knows is news that doesn’t fit the agenda so all the spotlight is played on the “slow” delivery of food, water and medical aid from outside.
We have the Media playing out a grotesque macabre dance first perpetrated on the stage of the Katrina disaster of putting the blame of the scale and response to the disaster on uncaring racist whites instead of those who have in the past been incapable of construction, ever, but capable of corruption of sloth, always, portrayed as poor blameless victims of European neglect. Here we go again.
This time they have started straight away but in a more fanatical and hyper-active manner in their cover stories excusing violent and anarchic Afro behaviour and lack of response because they know what behaviour is already happening but know very well this will develop into utter mayhem in the coming months. A friend has said the only organisation displayed by the Haitians has been in the field of thuggery.
So compare and contrast how the Germans coped and managed catastrophe on a much longer time scale than anything so far suffered by the Haitians.
You had better try yourself because for sure this is not the theme music that will ever be played by the lying manipulators of the mass media.

Sorry Tom, I have to disagree. I think these suffering people from Haiti should be sent to Israel. After all, they call themselves a light among, a light unto nations, and they brag endlessly about their humanitarianism.
The last wave of Haitians that landed on our shores settled in Miami, where they created Little Haiti, preyed upon tourists and murdered them if they made wrong turns and ended up in Little Haiti.
These Haitians formed gangs, always carrying the Haitian flag, they actually hi jacked ships in Miami ports. They transported drugs in cargo ships and created horrible problems announcing their hated for Whites even as they sought refuge here. Its amazing how minorities refuse to associate America with White people these days. They don’t want to admit that they get everything because of us.
You can use google maps of Little Haiti and see how much land they now occupy in Miami. Watch the cable channels with programs about gangs to learn about Haitian gangs in America.
Nevertheless I feel sorry for what has happened to them. Nobody deserves the horrible things that the Haitians are now suffering.

@freddie_turnill, I read that when the first allies arrived in Germany they were shocked at the suffering of the German people. They took photos of Jews to show what had been done to them because they feared for Americans to see what we had done to Germans. I don’t know if this is fact or not.
But we cannot base our response to Haiti upon any other event. We cannot base our response upon any arbitrary notions of whether they deserve help or not. You cannot claim that blacks are inferior and their response is not the same as the superior Aryans and then logically say lets don’t help them because they’re stupid. If they are too mentally deficient to help themselves then we are morally obligated to help them. We should help them there so we don’t have to help them here.

The once Roman Catholic province of Quebec in Canada is supposed to be home to 100,000 Haitians and the Governor General of Canada was born in Haiti. The Governor General being the queen’s representative, in Canada, is the ultimate power in times of crisis.
I heard on the news this evening that her home town in Haiti is to be a main recipient of Canadian aid which reminded me of something I read in TOQ of how ethnics are family orientated rather than being concerned for the country as a whole. But at least some aid will be going outside of Port-au-Prince which can’t be a bad thing if my financially in debt country has to borrow money to send to Haiti. I wish somebody would send us aid and pay of our debt.

Now that I have visited the land of the dead (sorry – no touchy-feely “near-death” experiences for me, not a one), I find that I am unimpressed with a good deal of the suffering that takes place in the world. Let me illustrate my lack of sensitivity for you:
Have you noticed the similarity between the aftermaths of the Katrina hurricane and the Haiti earthquake?
TV films show hordes of Blacks just standing around or looting and hurting each other, doing nothing except complaining about the lack of aid forthcoming from the rest of us.
They could be cleaning up, digging out bodies, burying their dead, helping each other, just as seen in similar disasters at other times and in other places. But, no. Ask yourself why. Read my book for a detailed explanation.
If we look at how the Afros in the US reacted to Katrina and I’m not talking about those directly affected but by the general attitude and beliefs displayed in the wake of the collapse of the protective levies and the rescue efforts that followed these, though encouraged greatly by the Bush-bashing, Euro hating mass media, showed a fertile ground of poisonous, almost primordial hatred of whitey.
The whole post-Katrina event, which had shown Euros but practically no Afros actually going to the area to help, Afros had behaved in that peculiarly extremely predictable way of theirs, reported initially even by the Times-Picayune. (though they very quickly reverted to type and even contradicted their own reporting as lies because it was news that didn’t fit the agenda)
Post-Katrina was given over not to thanking those who came to help but to an accusatory and vengeance driven agenda, though part-orchestrated by Bush-haters, it was a whining, condemning, anti-Euro hate-fest that whitey “hadn’t dun nu’tin ‘cos we is black”.
With such attitudes and a generally held belief about how “da is held back ‘cos ov de racism, man” (when the objective fact is that you only have to look at Haiti, who wiped out whitey in a bloodbath in the late 18th century, to know this is complete rubbish) you know that the vast majority of Afros would not retain for 1-nano-second any thoughts of helping Euros if they had suffered the same catastrophic event as that of the Afro-Haitians.
Despite this complete lack of any sense that if the roles had been reversed the same help would be forthcoming, (OK I know the concept of a prosperous self-sufficient Afro society is nonsense but you can imagine it for the sake of illustrative purposes) despite the complete lack of any notion of any sense of reciprocity in times of stress and need on the part of Afros, (in fact we know that many would rejoice in our misery) we are supposed to suspend such knowledge that they would not give a fig for us but we must immediately sacrifice huge resources on their behalf and use vast resources to move heaven and earth.
And be hated and despised just as much, if not more so by the Haitians themselves and even more by the US Afros after all our efforts.

Tom, I must say there is certainly poetic justice in Gentleman Bronco’s suggest to move all the Haitians to Israel. Also satisfying would be to ensure these Haitian “migrants” would all be moved to PC neighborhoods, such as the upper west side of Manhattan Island. The only way to stop the Politically Correct is to feed them a heaping dose of their own medicine.
But there is no need for any of this. Senegal has already agreed to take ALL the Haitian refugees. If a few show up they will provide them with houses and other necessities. If a bunch show up, they have been promised an arable region to settle in. See here for details:

Obama got rid a big obstacle to bringing Haitians stateside when he removed aids testing for immigrants. He’s going to let them in by encouraging the adroit non-enforcement of the law rather than an official decision.

Vows to Move Fast for Haitian Immigrants in U.S.
MIAMI — Clutching their passports and well-thumbed documents, hundreds of illegal Haitian immigrants crowded into a Roman Catholic church here on Wednesday to seek help in applying for a program that would allow them to stay and work legally in the United States for 18 months.
Officials said they expected 100,000 to 200,000 Haitians who have been living illegally in the United States to take advantage of the offer from the Obama administration for temporary legal status.
Federal immigration officials met with dozens of community leaders and laid out plans to expedite the process and provide most illegal Haitian workers with documents, including work permits, within three months.
Alejandro Mayorkas, the head of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, said all the decisions on applications would be made “with a generosity of spirit” born of the humanitarian crisis created by last week’s massive earthquake in Haiti.
He made it plain that the administration’s goal was to move as fast as possible to keep Haitians without criminal records in the United States and allow them to work so they can send money back to the devastated island.
“So they can send money back” to do what exactly? Methinks what a much of the money immigrants earn to send back for: to bring in more of their extended families.
So you can see the “party line” is being played. How can any one object to them working to send money back to “help out” their relatives.
Of course the Haitians currently in the will not be going back to help their brethren over there, that’s the job of the honkies and their tax dollars.
Also you see how quickly the OK signal from Obama was picked up immediately by these Haitians. No intention ever to go back. Their definition of Aid is to aid themselves.
They have recreated their malfunctioning society over in the US. but now can be consolidated and legalised to form another huge input of labour competition at the bottom end of the market and pool of anti-social and criminal behaviour to be suffered by their neighbours.

As other people have pointed out elsewhere the suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza under constant Israeli attack for over a month emitted no such looks of intense concern from the “news” actors.

Earlier while watching TV I saw a Jew from the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), which has now moved on to helping non-Jewish immigrants, saying that the USA ought to prepare for a “mass-exodus” (his words) of Haitians in to the USA. Well Bigmo, back in the day the black were indeed ordered to work or face punishment. When freed, they basically had to work or starve. Then came welfare. Now it seems that if a black can’t be a professional athlete, music star or actor, they have a job gained through affirmative action or go on welfare. These days most choose the latter.
