Kevin MacDonald: Kalefa Sanneh’s New Yorker review of several books on “Whiteness” (“Beyond the Pale: Is white the new black?”) opens with a quote from an academic labor historian that shows how far we have to go to develop a proud sense of being White and having interests as Whites:
In 1994, the white labor historian David R. Roediger published an incendiary volume, “Towards the Abolition of Whiteness.” Paying special attention to unions and strikes, he traced the unsteady growth of American whiteness, a category that eventually included many previous identities that had once been considered marginal: Irish, Italian, Polish, Jewish. “It is not merely that whiteness is oppressive and false; it is that whiteness is nothing but oppressive and false,” he wrote. “Whiteness describes, from Little Big Horn to Simi Valley, not a culture but precisely the absence of culture. It is the empty and therefore terrifying attempt to build an identity based on what one isn’t and on whom one can hold back.”
That’s the kind of stuff that passes for academic wisdom these days — a combination of biological ignorance combined with self-hating moral outrage against Whites. The fact is that there is an undeniable biological reality to races as descent groups and as a vast storehouse of genetic interests. But that is not the whole story. There is also a strong cultural component: “To a large extent cultural influences result from conflicts of perceived interest and political infighting, and multiculturalists … [and anti-White fanatics like Roedinger] are experts at this game. Indeed, the #1 way that culture influences our concept of race is the denial by the political left that there is any biological basis for race at all.”
Sanneh’s carries on this tradition that the White race is nothing but a social construction, agreeing that “whiteness was built over centuries on a foundation of deceit and confusion and disguised political imperatives.” Historically, it is doubtless the case that Whites have utilized the concept of Whiteness to their advantage in certain times and places — just as other groups have always done. But the main disguised political imperative in the contemporary world involving race is that the people who insist on the unreality of the White race typically have strong racial and ethnic identities of their own, and they use this ideology to advance their anti-White agenda.
But Sanneh’s view is more subtle. He proposes that this social construction of Whiteness is becoming a reality:
It’s getting easier to imagine an American whiteness that is less exceptional, less dominant, less imperial, and more conspicuous, an ethnicity more like the others. … The history of human culture is the history of forgeries that become genuine, categories that people make and cannot simply unmake. So we should probably stop thinking of whiteness as an error, and start thinking of it, instead, as a work in progress. Historians have sometimes framed the treacherous history of whiteness as the slow death of an idea. Perhaps it’s time we start viewing it, instead, as the slow birth of a people.
In commenting on Sennah, Pat Buchanan stops short of seeing the emerging White consciousness in racial terms: “The coming conflict is not so much racial as it is cultural, political and tribal.”
But, unlike Sannah, Buchanan correctly sees that the birth of a White tribe will result in conflict. It’s not going to be pretty, especially given the deep historical grudges, economic envy, and desire for social dominance that characterize the emerging non-White minority coalition and apparent in some of the books Sannah reviews. Sanneh’s idea of the emerging White ethnicity as “less exceptional, less dominant, less imperial” implicitly envisions White people happily heading into the political sunset and accepting their lowered status in a utopian world of ethnic and racial harmony. As noted repeatedly on this website, this is wishful thinking with a vengeance. Whenever Whites have ceded power, they have been physically endangered.
But as we head into a new era of difficult times for White people as they are increasingly pushed aside while heading for minority status, we can take solace in Buchanan’s point that “Adversity and abuse increase the awareness of separate identity and accelerate the secession of peoples from each other.” Quite right.
The anger of the Tea Partiers is just the beginning.

What’s interesting about this is that in fact, Jewish media researchers have targeted our demographic for a long time, just not exactly in the way you posit. Years ago, in the late 90s, a WN commentator named Yggdrasil wrote about something called “Little Annie and the Radio Project.” It was a chiiling article outlining how researchers were investigating, back in the 1930s, the then-emerging technology of radio and advertising so as to control the attitudes of its listeners, without the listeners being aware of being influenced or controlled.
I think the Jewish concentration in all areas of the media has been fatal to our people, and that our overlords have ruthlessly exploited their positions of control to inculcate the White masses with poisonous guilt and self-hatred. I don’t know who Mark is, or whether there’s any truth to “me”‘s insinuation above, but I second what Mark wrote. Years ago Alex Linder gave us a phrase: “No Way Out But Through The Jew.” It stuck in my mind and I’m sure in the minds of many others because it said what we had come to see as true.
Recently I’ve found myself adding a corollary that will probably not catch on as easily: No Way Out But Through The Germans. What I have come closer and closer to seeing is that what exists with regard to Jews in America today is what existed in Germany, and the effort to dislodge the encroachment took a Herculean effort. Which failed.

The Tea Party movement started out as a Ron Paul type movement, and in order to prevent that from growing, FOX News hijacked the name, took a number of different grassroots protests and lumped them together, and then used media stars like Sarah Palin, and PR firms, to bring everyone back in line with GOP fanatical Zionism.

I’m also convinced that revision of the non-Gentile holocaust narrative is one of those high-risk high-reward types of baskets into which we’d be well served to place an egg or two.
But I think joining this at the hip to Euro ethnopatriotism is a horrible idea. Whether or not Germans killed 12 million civilians (among them 6 million non-Gentiles) has absolutely no bearing on a clear-headed examination of Euro ethnic interests; no more than Stalin & Soviet Russia’s 40 million civilian victims has on the issue (Commies are and were “anti-racists,” race-deniers, environmental reductionists, etc., every bit as much as modern liberals are but you don’t see the dead giving them pause).

There is a lot going on today in America and throughout Western Europe which reminds me of the Weimar Republic of Germany.
However, I think Hitler played right into Zionist hands by his anti-Jewish diatribes and many of his anti-Jewish laws. In doing so, a lot of innocent patriotic German Jews who had put down roots centuries ago were hurt. I remember reading about one concentration camp where a section had been set aside for Iron Cross medal winners. When he was in the army, Hitler was awarded the Iron Cross himself by a Jewish superior. Most of the Jewish carpet-baggers who were sucking Germany dry were from Poland. A lot of German Jews also suffered during the Weimar years.
The one thing that alarms me when White Nationalists start the practice of Name The Jew is not only that we engage in a pogrom where only the innocent Jew gets hurt. My thought is that when Hitler came into power, the carpet-baggers saw the writing on the wall, filled their suitcases full of cash and got the puck out of Dodge. That’s why, whenever I see the latest diatribe from the $PLC and the AD(ollars)L, I think of some poor elderly Jews who were traumatized by WWII being terrorized and extorted by these protection rackets. I once lived next door to a couple of very nice older Jewish ladies and I know darn well, that they are the ones who would be shipped off to concentration camps while Morris Dees the Sleaze, Mark Potok, Abe Foxman and their ilk would be living the life of luxury on their butter and egg money.
Another thing I have a problem is that we are too focused on the Jews, naming the Jew, blaming the Jew, etc. ad nauseum to come up with a comprehensive plan to do something constructive for our own race. We have some control here if we take control of ourselves.
Yes Jews control the abortion industry, but there is no program coercing Whites a`la Red China into getting an abortion they don’t want. They control pornography, but we don’t have to buy it. We don’t have to pay for cable with anti-White shows or go to movies with anti-White themes.
We complain about Jewish control of media, art, and entertainment, but what are race-conscious Whites doing about setting up our own media and entertainment industry? Where are the rich Whites who will buy art galleries where White artists can sell work that isn’t modern art crap? Where are the Whites who can or will invest in a studio, hire White producers, White camera men, White actors etc. that will put out pro-White films?
We post one horror story after another about the fate of Whites in Zimbabwe and South Africa, but what are doing to help these unfortunates effect a safe exodus out of those hellholes? What are we doing about putting pressure on politicians to extend them refugee status or face negative repercussions in the ballot box? What are we doing to promote an effective networking system among White people so we can help each other succeed?
From what I see, not a damned thing.

Apollonian and other troll names/styles are used all over the web, at any even remotely effective WN site. These same sons of the cut have hit VNN, The Phora, IncogMan, just about any site you can name that is pro-white and/or states the truth about jewish behavior and culture in general.
As part of the side-show, we also get the trolls with their disingenuous posts about whites not putting together their own entertainment industry, while knowing full well distribution models and laws in place, courtesy of the self chosen buying off most of DC, have put the capper on that for whites. That will have to come from another direction. With so many jews in art for example, they merely band together to shut out white gallery owners. The internet has been providing new routes, new hope for distribution, which is why Abe Foxman and crew are desperate for controls to be put in place. They want to stop any emergence of alternate distribution of art (of any type) as much they want to keep the truth of their ethnic crime syndicate from the public’s eyes and ears.
The problem is in fact the jews. What people don’t like is that more and more whites are slowly realizing this simple fact. And when things hit rock bottom, they will in know who to blame first and foremost among many. Of course the jews at the top will run for it. Several of us here have written that many times. The problem for the “innocent” jews is that many of them have marched lock step with Potok, Foxman, Perle and the rest, supporting them to the hilt because they themselves benefit greatly from doing so. They know exactly what’s up. And these “innocent” jews would also not give a damn if whites were rounded up put in gulags across the US. They’d cheer it on and not lift a finger. More shekels for them.
Hitler didn’t play right into jewish hands. FDR, LBJ, Clinton, Bush II, and Obama certainly did. Willingly. You could literally see the semitic puppet strings controlling several of these Presidents. Obama is the biggest zionist puppet since LBJ.
Sanneh’s arguement goes hand and hand with PC’s restriction or elimination of free speech exactly because his argument is so stupid.
Actually from the perspective of psychology it is what is known as “absolutist thinking”.
This is found in the adolescent who when they begin to develop intellectually still have the overlap of the pre-adolescent in them.
What happens is, when thoughts about anything from family to the world or anything in between come to them, they immediately cast them in bronze.
No new information can get in and only the same old same old goes out.
Ideally the adolescent grows out of this and becomes more flexible.
Obviously, what we are seeing today is the emergecne, the chilling emergence of a Culture of Arrestd-Development that is treated as the proper way to behavie, morally and intellectually.
It should never be assumed for one minute that humans are going to be a successful species.
We haven’t even really been biologically tested and there’s a strong possiblity we could fail that test. It very well may be.
In any event, the only way to appeal to the world, since appealing to the humanity of Sanneh’s and the rest of the hostile elite and those in league with them seems out of the question – is to frame the argument in terms economic.
The simply fact is that if their way continues to be victorious the human spirit will die. But since it’s pretty clear they could care less about that then the only thing to do is state the obvious.
Which is that their “victory” will be phyrric to the extent that it will render impossible the simple exchange of goods and services.
How is that so?

This approach might prove advantageous for a number of reasons – one being, though they might not care about our survival, they certainly care about heirs.

Hey gang, Haven’t written here in a while and just wanted to say that I am on someone else’s laptop and not in the most comfy position. So, lots of typing mistakes.
The point I’d really like to drive home in relation to the above post is that the only way we have left to us to approach these people and their arguments is to point out the obvious.
Their accusations – directed at us – that we are intellectually stupid and morally depraved – are in large measure, examples of simple projection.
These folks are sick and in need of help and we need to be able to point out, chapter and verse to our satisfaction, that this is in deed the case. Because it is!!!
