Edmund Connelly: Five or six years ago, I saw some kind of film purportedly showing the mass execution of scores of Eastern Europeans by a cadre of cold-blooded murderers. I didn’t know about YouTube then, so I can’t say if that was the source.
In the film clip, lines of naked Whites, mostly blond haired, were brought into a cellar in pairs and threes, lined up against a wall, and given bullets to the back of the skull. The floor was, needless to say, awash in blood. It was a singularly chilling image, and I wish I had never seen it.
What was truly shocking was the fact that the victims behaved in such a sheep-like manner. It seemed obvious what their fate was, yet these young men and women meekly awaited their turn to die. Only one White, a young woman, even protested while being lined up against the wall in the cellar.
The way it was shown, the Whites were generally tall and lanky, while the dark-clad executioners were short, stocky, and looked stereotypically Jewish. One executioner seemed to find his job almost amusing.
The point of the film clip was to “prove” that Bolsheviks had without compunction systematically massacred untold numbers of Eastern Europeans. Again, I have no idea whatsoever of the veracity of the film, so I would never claim it proves anything.
Thus it was with the shock of recognition when I finally read Yuri Slezkine’s powerful 2004 book The Jewish Century. In it, Slezkine unabashedly paints a picture of Jewish killers nearly as vivid as in the above film.
We read that during the Red Terror in Russia, some expressed shock that seemingly pacifistic Jews changed almost overnight: “We were amazed by what we had least expected to encounter among the Jews: cruelty, sadism, and violence had seemed alien to a nation so far removed from physical, warlike activity; those who yesterday did not know how to use a gun are now found among the executioners and cutthroats.”
Slezkine also describes a “formerly oppressed lover of liberty [who] had turned into a tyrant of ‘unheard-of despotic arbitrariness.’” He had been “transformed outwardly into a leather-clad person with a revolver and, in fact, lost all human likeness.” He could now be pictured as “standing in a Cheka basement doing ‘bloody but honorable revolutionary work.’”
Most succinctly, Slezkine writes, “anyone who had the misfortune to fall into the hands of the Cheka stood a very good chance of finding himself confronted with and possibly shot by a Jewish investigator.” Estimates are that up to twenty million non-Jews died during that horrendous period.
It is with this as a background that I read a recent comment by an acquaintance whom I respect. In the course of discussing how even the even American military is pushing “diversity” at the expense of getting the absolute best recruits, she wrote, “Since one of my nightmares is that the US Army will one day be ordered to gun down Americans, I am not too distressed to learn that incompetence is selected.”
That took me by surprise because this person is not the excitable type and doesn’t relish hyperbole. Chillingly, it also resonated with a thread I found among last week’s VDARE columnists.
For example, Pat Buchanan wrote that “In communist countries in the Cold War, all understood that the government did not represent the people. The state was at war with the nation. That idea is taking root in America — the idea that our government no longer seeks to represent us.”
That’s probably putting it mildly. Paul Craig Roberts, back at the keyboard he had sworn to abandon, wrote more ominously about America’s likely future:
The Roman Empire lasted for centuries. The American one collapsed overnight. Rome’s corruption became the strength of her enemies, and the Western Empire was overrun. America’s collapse occurred when government ceased to represent the people and became the instrument of a private oligarchy. Decisions were made in behalf of short-term profits for the few at the expense of unmanageable liabilities for the many. Overwhelmed by liabilities, the government collapsed.
Robertson added elsewhere, “On July 12, Niall Ferguson, an historian of empire, warned that the American empire could collapse suddenly from weakness brought on by its massive debts and that such a collapse could be closer than we think.”
Finally, Pastor Chuck Baldwin, Ph.D., quoted this comment on VDARE:
Skousen also chides the Post report for failing “to show how connected certain companies are to the mercenary contractor explosion that is growing into a force that will eventually be used to threaten individual liberties at home. The Powers That Be don’t need to hire foreign armies to clamp down on American dissidents. They are training hundreds of thousands of mercenary Americans to do it and using foreign wars to sort out who is ruthless enough or unprincipled enough to take orders without questions—similar to the way the Nazis sorted and selected those who would form the Brownshirt and SS brigades.”
I mostly certainly hope all these observers are wrong and that life may continue in America without state-sponsored terror. Unfortunately, evidence is appearing that makes more than a few of us nervous.

According to the description the film clip very likely was from Aleksandr Rogozhkin’s “Chekist” (1992), which follows the actions of a Cheka execution squad during the Russian civil war. It was one the very first feature films to graphically show the red massacres. Until this day, there are very few films to deal with the subject, such as Andrzej Wajda’s “Katyn”.
Most of the action takes place in that execution cellar. Execution follows execution as if on an assembly line. The main character, a bolshevik commissar goes more and more crazy and disgusted as he finds himself doing the job like a machine. There is one explicit Jewish character in the squad, but he is of minor importance.

I once saw a documentary on Soviet handling of German POWs, circa WW2. This old woman was being interviewed in a cottage and she was telling the reporter how she would have these young German soldiers, perhaps 18 years of age, and she would question him and after he had revealed all the information that he possessed, she led him into the backyard, which she showed the reporter, and put a pistol to the back of the German youth’s head and murdered him. She was asked how many she had dispatched in this manner, she said THOUSANDS.

Why would you hope that the observers are wrong? If we don’t see “state-sponsored terror” in America it means that the White resistance forces ARE NOT DOING THEIR JOB!

It is only through a protracted guerrilla war that our race will be saved. It cannot be done peacefully and democratically.

Those who actually DO the “dirty work” are not going to look kindly on those who sat back out of harm’s way when the “dirty work” needed doing, and who then appear expecting to occupy a prominent position in the new folkish White society. Last night I had to do the most unpleasant thing that I have been called to do since joining the Organization four years ago. I participated in the execution of a mutineer.
Harry Powell was Unit 5′s leader. Last week, when Washington Field Command (WFC) gave his unit the assignment of assassinating two of the most obnoxious and outspoken advocates of racial mixing in this area – a priest and a rabbi, coauthors of a widely publicized petition to Congress requesting special tax advantages for racially mixed married couples – Powell refused the assignment. The officer from WFC stated the case against Powell very briefly. The Unit 5 representative then confirmed the facts: Powell had not only refused to obey the assassination order, but he had instructed the members of his unit not to obey either. Fortunately, they had not allowed themselves to be subverted by him.
Powell was then given an opportunity to speak in his behalf. He did so for more than two hours, interrupted occasionally by a question from one of us. What he said really shook me, but it made our decision easier for all of us, I am sure.
Harry Powell was, in essence, a “responsible conservative”. The fact that he was not only a member of the Organization but had become a unit leader reflects more on the Organization than it does on him. His basic complaint was that all our acts of terror against the System were only making things worse by “provoking” the System into taking more and more repressive measures.
Well, of course, we all understood that! Or, at least, I thought we all understood it. Apparently Powell didn’t. That is, he didn’t understand that one of the major purposes of political terror, always and everywhere, is to force the authorities to take reprisals and to become more repressive, thus alienating a portion of the population and generating sympathy for the terrorists. And the other purpose is to create unrest by destroying the population’s sense of security and their belief in the invincibility of the government.
As Powell continued talking, it became clearer and clearer that he was a conservative, not a revolutionary. He talked as if the whole purpose of the Organization were to force the System to institute certain reforms, rather than to destroy the System, root and branch, and build something radically and fundamentally different in its place.
He was opposed to the System because it taxed his business too heavily (He had owned a hardware store before we were forced underground.) He was opposed to the System’s permissiveness with Blacks, because crime and rioting were bad for business. He was opposed to the System’s confiscation of firearms, because he felt he needed a gun for personal security. His were the motivations of a libertarian, the sort of self-centered individual who sees the basic evil in government as a limitation on free enterprise.
Someone asked him whether he had forgotten what the Organization has repeated over and over, namely, that our struggle is to secure the future of our race, and that the issue of individual freedom is subordinate to that one, overwhelming purpose. His retort was that the Organization’s violent tactics are benefiting neither our race nor individual freedom.
This answer proved again that he didn’t really understand what we are trying to do. His initial approval of the use of force against the System was based on the naive assumption that, by God, we’ll show those bastards! When the System, instead of backing down, began tightening the screws even faster, he decided that our policy of terrorism is counter-productive.
He simply could not accept the fact that the path to our goal cannot be a retracing of our course to some earlier stage in our history, but must instead be an overcoming of the present and a forging ahead into the future – with us choosing the direction instead of the System. Until we have torn the rudder out of its grasp and thrown the System overboard, the ship of state will go careening on its hazardous way. There will be no stopping, no going back. Since we are already among rocks and shoals, we are bound to get scraped up pretty badly before we find any clear sailing.
Maybe he was right that our tactics are wrong; the reaction of the people will eventually answer that question. But his whole attitude, his whole orientation was wrong. As I listened to Powell I was reminded of the late–19th century writer, Brooks Adams, and his division of the human race into two classes: spiritual man and economic man. Powell was the epitome of economic man.
Ideologies, ultimate purposes, the fundamental contradiction between the System’s worldview and ours – all these things had no meaning for him. He regarded the Organization’s philosophy as just so much ideological flypaper designed to catch recruits for us. He saw our struggle against the System as a contest for power and nothing more. If we could not whip them, then we should try to force them to compromise with us.
I wondered how many others in the Organization thought the way Powell did, and I shuddered. We have been forced to grow too quickly. There has not been sufficient time to develop in all our people the essentially religious attitude toward our purpose and our doctrines that would have prevented the Powell incident by screening him out early.
As it was, we had no real choice in deciding Powell’s fate. There was not only his disobedience to consider, but also the fact that he had revealed himself to be fundamentally unreliable. To have one of us – and a unit leader, at that – talking openly to other members about trying to find a way to compromise with the System, with the war just beginning. . . . There was only one way to deal with such a situation.
The eight male members present drew straws, and three of us, including me, ended up on the execution squad. When Powell realized that he was going to be killed, he tried to make a break. We tied his hands and feet, and then we had to gag him when he began shouting. We drove him to a wooded area off the highway about 10 miles south of Washington, shot him, and buried him.
I got back a little after midnight, but I still haven’t been able to get to sleep. I am very, very depressed.

Once in a while, judges stop an oppressive president and congress. In the Hamdan case, the Supreme Court told Bush, “No, you can’t hold detainees forever without evidence, charges, or trial, like in a gulag. These persons are entitled to habeas corpus.” And only judges can do that.

Hi. If you go back to my comment, I was talking about tyranny, not corruption…two very different things. There really is such a thing as a benevolent tyrant, someone who truly believes that their personal insight trumps the collective insight of society and acts accordingly, with no self serving intent at all.
