Historian David Starkey is in damage control mode for his remarks on the UK riots. In The Telegraph (“UK riots: It’s not about criminality and cuts, it’s about culture… and this is only the beginning“) he defends his main point that Black culture is the root of the problem, partly with this telling comment:
Even stranger is [Labour Party leader Ed] Miliband’s apparent notion that, far from militating against educational achievement as I suggested, “the gang culture of black London” must therefore be a seedbed for scholarship and sound learning. Odd, isn’t it, that Waterstone’s bookshop was the only business unlooted in the Ealing riots?
Starkey makes the critical point that UK elites have abandoned the White working class following Enoch Powell’s famous “rivers of blood” speech:
Powell’s views were popular at the time and the London dockers marched in his support. The reaction of the liberal elites in both the Labour and Tory parties, who had just driven Powell into the wilderness, was unanimous: the white working class could never be trusted on race again. The result was a systematic attack over several decades: on their perceived xenophobic patriotism, on symbols like the flag of St George, even – and increasingly – on the very idea of England itself.
The attack was astonishingly successful. But it left a void where a sense of common identity should be. And, for too many, the void has been filled with the values of “gangsta” culture. …
The other pernicious legacy of the reaction to Powell has been an enforced silence on the matter of race. The subject has become unmentionable, by whites at any rate. And any breach has been punished by ostracism and worse.
All good points. It’s great to see Enoch Powell remain part of the public discourse on immigration–a haunting warning about the future UK that at this point seems etched like a very guilty secret on everyone’s mind. The speech that will not go away despite the best efforts of the elites to bury it and to vilify Powell personally.
I was surprised by his comments on Scotland (“The Scots are allowed – and even encouraged – to be as racist as they please and hate the English with glad abandon”) given the very aggressive pro-non-White immigration position of the Scottish National Party. Perhaps someone can enlighten me on that. Like Starkey, the Scots seem to think they can import all sorts of people and still retain a sense of Scottish nationalism and its historical enmity toward England.
Of course, he spoils his article by arguing for a non-race based English nationalism–doubtless a necessity if he is to have any hope of continuing his position as a mainstream commentator on race. He is right that developing a sense of national identity is critical. But in his ideal world, Blacks would give up Black culture and become just like White folks, creating a new version of British national identity. They would become educated and most of all, they would behave like proper Englishmen and not do things like riot in order to get a nice TV set.
This is yet another example of utopian idealism that so permeates the thinking of Western intellectual elites. Certainly some Blacks and mixed-race people are able to fit in–Starkey mentions ”successful blacks, like David Lammy and Diane Abbot, [who] have merged effortlessly into what continues to be a largely white elite: they have studied at Oxbridge and gone on to Oxbridge-style careers, such as that of an MP.” However, this ignores very real average differences in IQ between Whites and Britain’s African- and Afro-Caribbean populations–not to mention their loathing of Whites and their culture, their sense of historical grievance, and their sense of entitlement. They are never going to fit into anything approaching White elite culture; they will remain a group with low educational achievement, high rates of public assistance, and prone to violence and alienation from White culture.
At the same time, a substantial number of lower-IQ Whites have gotten sucked into Black gangsta culture (Starkey: “the white lumpen proletariat, cruelly known as the “chavs” … have integrated into the pervasive black “gangsta” culture: they wear the same clothes; they talk and text in the same Jafaican patois; and, as their participation in recent events shows, they have become as disaffected and riotous). The White working class has been betrayed by their own people but in the long run it is reasonable to hope that they will be a force for righting things.
In any case, the decision to admit millions of non-Whites is not only a deadly mixture of utopian idealism (for people like Starkey) and cynical hardball ethnic politics (for people like Milliband, described by Starkey as “the son of a refugee who fled from Nazi Europe to preserve his life and freedom of thought”) or pure political/careerist cynicism by people like Tony Blair); it is also a biological disaster for the people of Britain who have settled the island for thousands of years only to have their elites give it away in a generation. Madness.

In his writings Kevin MacDonald repeatedly warns that things can get much worse for whites when they comprise a demographic majority. Many people assume that present-day minorities will not use their demographic heft to enact retribution against whites. Clearly that is not what the subject of this interview believes. He is making thinly veiled threats that whites will lose control of their country and that there may be reprisals when it happens.
The reporter blithely ignores his thinly veiled threats about what will happen when whites are a minority and steers the conversation back to the the more banal question of how the government should have responded to the riots.
It’s a shame she didn’t bother to get him to elaborate and clarify his warnings.
Starkey’s assertion that Ed Milliband’s father “Fled from Nazi Europe to preserve his life and freedom of thought” is Marxist rubbish. He was a liberty hating communist who failed to destroy freedom in Germany and found the going there too hot. He proceeded to England with the same agenda and imbued his sons with a hatred for the values of the British peoples.
Communism, the lodestar of the Milliband tribe, does not tolerate freedom of thought. Hating Hitler does not make one a supporter of liberty. Britain actually had fleets patrolling the waters along the western coast of Africa to fight the slave trade. Anyhow, the African minority was found, after a number of years, to be “shiftless” and “prone to violence”. The English didn’t find they fit into their society, they assumed it was something to do with the climate, so they merrily transported them back to Africa! How attitudes have changed in 100 years!
In the history of the world I’m not sure a bigger lie has ever been told than that black is only skin deep. This is not a very original thought, and it is followed by what are, most likely, very naive questions.
If our leaders are concerned about not having a good excuse to deport large numbers of immigrants, they are mistaken. For example, the last statistics I saw about incarceration in France indicated that something like 70% of its prison inmates were immigrants (and/or of immigrant parents), most of them black and Muslim.
Especially considering that many of those crimes are violent ones, why are those offenders not simply deported? Why, at the very least, are the huge numbers of immigrants that are found guilty of a crime not forced out of the host country? What more of an excuse does the state need, for goodness sake?
Black gangsta culture is indeed a problem, along with mass immigration, and the general deghradation of western “civilization” But it couldn’t happen without the bleeding hearts of women, who instinctually want to nurture something, and since the gender equality insanity, that had its roots in the industrial age, they are no longer taught to nurture their OWN children, so they transpose this instinctual need onto un-natural beneficiaries by championing ” those poor black African children” (MaDonna, Angelina Jolie and their black adoptees, etc) or taking up the cause of slavery, (Hariot Beecher Stow in “Uncle Tom’s Cabin, etc.)

Interestingly, in 1972 I was hitch-hiking from Glasgow to Melrose. An older man on his way to Newcastle offered me a ride. He asked me where I was from, and when I replied Canada, he raved about the Cdn soldiers he worked with in Cyprus. Turned out, he was an ex military officer, and having seen the clashes between Turks (Muslims) and Greeks (Orthodox Christians) he was not inclined to believe that unlike cultures could live together peacefully. More chit chat about the political situation in Europe and the Soviet threat. He stated that he was convinced the downfall of Europe would come in France. Why? Not only because of the strong presence of the Communists as a political force, but also because France had ceased to be the recognizable nation it had been up to WWII. Germany had been defeated, but the foreign workers were guests that could be sent back to Turkey. Not so in France, they were there to stay.
Obviously things have changed in the past 40 years. The foreign workers in all countries are there to stay. You would think that you were in a 3rd world country, in London or Paris, if it weren’t for famous landmarks.

The analogy with Sinn Fein and the Provisional IRA is not accurate. The SNP should be compared with the SDLP, which under its former leader John Hume relentlessly promoted the European regionalisation strategy and used non-violence to attract the liberal middle classes. Sinn Fein remains staunchly anti-Europe and nationalistic, with a continuing regard for its founder, the openly anti-Semitic Arthur Griffith. However, all three movements have their origins in white working class movements. As a result they have always featured religious nationalism and Marxist dogmas as uncomfortable bedfellows and have never been able to reconcile the two. Over time, the Marxists seem to have gotten the upper hand, partly because cultural Marxism is so all-pervasive and nationalism and religion so out of favour that this is the easier path to tread. But also, because the working classes increasingly feature coloured immigrants, they are merely responding to the perceived needs of their core constituency, since such immigrants, who are overwhelmingly working class, are not expected to respond to nationalistic overtures.

Why is it that next to no one at this site objects to statements about women that are irrational, degrading and hateful? Dr Jim Swire, who lost his daughter in the Lockerbie bombing, and who was Chair of the Lockerbie victims associatiion, has stated for years that al Megrahi’s conviction was a travesty of justice. He attended the trial. A Scottish police officer came forward after the conviction, and stated that he had seen US agents
in a restricted area, removing evidence. When asked why he didn’t come forward earlier, he stated the evidence against al Megrahi was so flimsy that he never thought he would be convicted.
After the trial, it was found out that Tony Gauci, the Maltese shopkeeper who testified that al Megrahi looked like the person in his store, was paid $2 million by the US for his testimony.

I never even wrote anything about white women being in the anti-white movement, as I have not met any woman of European heritage in real life (something that is quite unlike Hollywood and television) who I could possibly label as “anti-white.” Oh, well.

Because England is the biggest peice of the UK those people who want to destroy Britain aren’t as anti-white in Scotland and Wales as they are in England. They promote anti-English sentiment instead. It’s simply that given the UK has constituent parts the most effective method of divide and rule is to have separate strategies in those constituent parts. It’s one reason the White underclass in Scotland and Wales haven’t adopted black culture to the same degree. They’re allowed to be pro-Scotland and pro-Wales as long as it’s solely in an anti-England form.
Although the SNP are very pro non-white immigration in theory there has been very little in practise. Most of the mass immigration into Britain has been directed to the bottom 2/3 of England where the Labour party was weakest. Until very recently Scotland was solidly Labour.
Also Starkey likes annoying Scots for some reason. It’s not very helpful but no-one’s perfect.

That is a fascinating point. I wonder if other cultures have produced a class of women that specifically do not reproduce? I don’t know enough about Asian or African culture, but it is frightening to think that such an instinct could be commandeered for the purposes of racial self-destruction.

I live in Canada. ABOUT STARKEY AND OTHERS
Recently on TOO there has been some articles and many comments relating to morale and temperment, “The Curse of the Naysayer” being one and “Why I write” being another.
My personal position is that any kind of temperment/outlook is fine if, and only if, in the final analysis it works out good for the whites.
We have to remember that our task involves creating a more industrial styles process of bringing more and more individuals from a state of being propaganda-sold, or intellectually dissonant, or angry but frightened and silent into a more active more effective and useful state.
That’s a complex multstaged, multilevel process we need to improve/invent. It’s already there…many of us wouldn’t be here now if many other people hadn’t already dedicated themselves to its creation.
Just a couple of years ago I was 100% the multicultural vision, and the memes that the West must be a beacon and to be that beacon must open its borders and show the world a new way to be.
Do you know what began to change my mind? I started to realize that Euro-descendents aren’t being given a choice. They are being coerced. Strategies of social shaming and other devices were being brought to bear to silence those people.
And I started to realize that no-one else was playing this game. We were being guided toward giving up our sense of peoplehood and our majorities, often by another people or peoples who even as they whispered sweet nothings into our ears, were acting hard to strengthen those very same bonds for their own.
And I started listening more closely to visions from those peoples, little snippets if you like, little moments when the mask slips, that spoke of hatred of my people, and eagerness for the day to come when a payback would be exerted against my people.
But all of that began with a simple realization that coercion was taking place, and that all my idealisms and multicultural dreams had been based on a higher principle. Not coercion. I had never believed in that. I had believed in the opposite of that.
Since then my personal journey has seen many stages. Some of disbelief and denial. Some of anger and more disbelief. Then that awful time of belief, total belief, and the sense of impotence and fatality. It was too late. Too late to change anything. Then the guilt…knowing I had been part of the destruction of my own people. Then foolishness and more anger. That I had been fooled by people I thought were my friend. That people could have been invited into my house and treated as friends and given the run of the place. And then slipped sleeping pills into my drink and while I slept destroyed my home and ruined my life and my future. And then after all that, a kind of new waking up. A gratefulness almost. To wake up from a dream about a world that didn’t need me and which I struggled to find meaning in, into a real world of unimaginable depth of meaning and peril, which needed me. Need me. Which even one person could make a difference for his people in. Wow. What an amazing gift.
So there are lots of stages to my journey and at certain moments it helped to hear the voices of doom. At other moments it helped to hear that we were already defeated. It has all helped to shape me.
So coming back to the situation now relating to whether and when certain temperments and styles are a good thing or a bad thing for the whites. What we really need is to start creating a stronger psychological and tactical understanding of the process by which people can be brought along and woken up. It needs to be scientific as possible. It needs to be based in an understanding of tactics used against us. It needs to be flexible…so it can be applied at every level whether in an internet list or a workplace. It needs to be sensitive to the limits that people may feel that they have.
I’m talking about intense analytical thinking, and then a theory, and then a software package that helps people organize their campaigns, and not have to reinvent the wheel in every argument or every scenario.
Wouldn’t it be great if we had some software in which you could input the scenario you are in, state your personal limits/risks, identify from a series of templates the mindsets and opinions ranged against you, and from that select a strategy that would *at least* make some firm progress with those people?
A package that would allow other more experienced people to easily view the status of your internet argument and suggest approaches that again take account of your personal limits, but which help to deliver *at least* some progress using sound psychological arguments.

The common thread to my comment is about how psychological insight into morale and temperment must become context sensitive. We must become much smarter in using the manpower – with all its limitations and personal limits of individuals – much more effectively. But the good news is, we *can*. it’s available to us. We can do so much more with our Internet Activism.

Where starkey fits into this thread is that we need to start being more positive about the levels of support we truly have. People are with us, many more than we can even hope for. But they need their personal limits to be respected. They are waiting for opportunities and guidance about how they can make a difference without destroying their careers and lives. Starkey is almost certainly with us. We need to look again at what he is saying, not from the perspective of taking him literally, but asking whether, taking account of his current constraints, he is trying to push things forward such that *at least* some progress is being made.

@Someday: I am well aware of the Yvonne Fletcher story. I didn’t say that that Mossad did it. There are those that have observed that the trajectory of the “shot” from the Libyan Embassy is wrong for the wound.
