You know the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) veered too far off the reservation when they became so ridiculous that even today’s limpwristed neo-conservative Republican leadership feels comfortable condemning them!
A statement, signed by twenty-two elected members of Congress (among many others), was issued to the press this week. It reads in part:
The surest sign one is losing a debate is to resort to character assassination. The Southern Poverty Law Center, a liberal fundraising machine whose tactics have been condemned by observers across the political spectrum, is doing just that.
The group, which was once known for combating racial bigotry, is now attacking several groups that uphold Judeo-Christian moral views, including marriage as the union of a man and a woman.
How does the SPLC attack? By labeling its opponents “hate groups.” No discussion. No consideration of the issues. No engagement. No debate!

Notice that the statement is narrowly worded to condemn the SPLC for its slandering of “voters who signed petitions and voted for marriage amendments” opposing same-sex marriage. Mark Potok’s response for the SPLC completely ignores this. As the petition says, “No consideration of the issues. No engagement. No debate!”
Yes, the silly coalition group compromises its position by pretending that the SPLC was once a righteous organization that fought against “racial bigotry.” And yes, a group led by cowardly lions like the Family Research Council and American Family Association will always fold like a cheap tent in the end, but at least they are feigning resistance this time, which is more than they usually do. We can only hope that the mainstream media will be a bit less likely to regard the SPLC as an authoritative source.

Facing the Future as a Minority
Why not just give some credit where credit is due without the standard, canned WN bromides about conservatives?
Take bell weather Ohio as an example. Of Ohio’s Eighteen (18) Congressmen, 9 of the 10 who voted to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” are Roman Catholics!
It’s pretty obvious the Roman Catholics & Jews are in an alliance to do away with “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”, and defame anyone who opposes them.

One of the major obstacles for white nationalists to overcome is the pathological tendency of traditional, conservative, patriotic whites to keep repeatedly voting Republican, as if the Republicans truly do believe in fighting a Culture War against the Left and taking a strong stand against political correctness. I’m not going to say that it isn’t sometimes the lesser of two evils for the Democrat to win, certainly.
But at the same time, what’s the endgame here?
Are you saying conservative whites should start voting Republican in favor of voting for the A3P?
Unfortunately, in the vast majority of places in America there aren’t any A3P candidates to vote for.
Perhaps that will change, but in the meantime I’m skeptical that it would be that good of a thing for conservative whites to stop voting Republican.

They should be attacked for being warmongers, they should be attacked for being overly liberal on issues having to do with race.
I can understand that.
But unless there’s a real alternative for conservative whites, going too far in terms of turning them off pseudo-conservatives might just make them disengage the political process entirely.
There are already so many whites who don’t think or care about politics as it is, and I’m not sure swelling their ranks would be a step in the right direction.
The most ironic (read: “hypocritical”) thing about the Southern Poverty Law Center is that NOT ONE of its top ten, highest paid executives is a minority.

In fact, according to the SPLC’s hometown newspaper, the Montgomery Advertiser, despite being located LITERALLY in the back yard of Dr. Martin Luther King’s home church, the SPLC has NEVER hired a person of color to a highly paid position of power.

It has nothing to do with religion, and everything to do with ethnicity,
i.e. with the fact that the vast majority of American (White) Catholics are of non-Anglo Saxon origin (Irish, Italian, etc.).
Consciously or unconsciously, many Irish and Italians still see themselves as outsiders, as ethnic minorities in America, and are thus willing to make coalitions with other minorities.
It is not only in America, it is like that all over the world.
In Croatia, the Italian community makes alliances with Gypsies, Jews, Germans, Serbs, etc., because they all somehow see themselves as outsiders, and their interests as opposed to the interests of the Croatian majority.
In Slovenia, the Hungarian and Italian minorities work closely together and make alliances with the Left (even though all three ethnic groups – Slovenians, Hungarians, and Italians – are Roman Catholics).
You can see similar things in Austria with the Carinthian Slovenes…etc.
I can give you examples like that from all over Europe.

Yeah, I have a better explanation. The problem isn’t too much ethnic consciousness–it’s too little. People–both WASPs and ‘ethnics’ in the US–who get seduced by the left do so because the the left has the good jobs, the accolades, and frankly, the easy access to sex to give them. The Ivy League schools are Jude-saxon institutions.
This is a very good development. It is a modest one to be sure, given the $PLC’s history of abuse, but it’s a start.

According to US law, the ADL and the SPLC are no different than the Mormon Church or any other church. All charities and churches are 501 tax exempt charities. So, why doesn’t anybody ask how come the SPLC and ADL enjoy such a loud voice in American political discourse? Surely if the mainstream media was owned by the Irish (LOL) and we were constantly hearing a certain Bishop’s opinion about something or other the American people would realize they have an established religion.

I say the SPLC protects criminals. We see gang injunctions halted with an explanation of racial injustice. Really? If you’re breaking laws don’t cry foul when you caught. For example gangs, groups with the purpose of commiting crimes, usually for profit, at the expense of others. Secondly, claming racial injustice constantly and falsely does nothing to bring people together. Are they providing a beneficial service? I’d say no. The SPLC continues to hide behind a thin veil of due process.
