Did readers see the stunning admissions made by Jewish professor Paul Gottfried in a recent VDARE essay? Weekly Counter-Currents writer Andrew Hamilton kindly drew my attention to it this week.
Gottfried is of Hungarian Jewish origin and speaks quite candidly about events there past and present. His article, Viktor Orban And The National Question In Hungary, tells a familiar story. Viktor Orban is the current prime minister of Hungary, and like many other citizens of formerly Communist countries in Eastern Europe, he does not buy into the guilt-inducing stories about World War II, nor does he accept the kind of multiculturalism now ravaging Western Europe and the Anglosphere.
Because he is a nationalist, and because Hungarians are White, this has excited the usual suspects — and Gottfried names them:
Hungarian artists and writers, and most notably Jewish ones, easily made their peace with the Soviets and their agents. It is not surprising that a very intelligent Hungarian Jewish Marxist of my acquaintance, Agnes Heller, has been livid with rage against the “Victator,” as Orban is now contemptuously called by his opponents.
One Green member of the European Parliament in particular, the famous lifetime leftist Daniel Cohn-Bendit, flies into rage when Orban’s name is mentioned. Describing the Hungarian head of state as an “authoritarian lunatic” may be the nicest thing that Cohn-Bendit has said about him.
Cohn-Bendit’s anger is spreading. As the Austrian member of the European Parliament Andreas Mölzer notes in Junge Freiheit, every day the European Union is looking for new measures by which to “quarantine” what it regards as the incipiently fascist regime in Budapest.

Gottfried correctly notes the parallel to Jewish and multicultural howling about leading Austrian politician Jorg Haider, though he neglects to mention what happened to Haider:
Only two weeks after his triumph in the Austrian elections, with his party sporting the biggest proportionate vote gain, and combined with his former Freedom Party coming very close to being the largest political bloc in the country, Jorg Haider was killed in a car crash on Saturday. The Jewish state was, of course, outraged—so much so that they withdrew their ambassador. Imagine their shock that a European country wanted to retain its White Christian identity.
In my essay Jews Instinctively Fear and Feel Threatened by Nationalistic, Particularistic Societies, I explored this phenomenon. Interestingly, in Part II of the essay, I extensively discussed the unsavory life of aforementioned Daniel Cohn-Bendit. I give Gottfried credit for coming close to saying that it is normative among some Jews to hate Whites. Notice the consequences Gottfried lists:

They are the older, predominantly Jewish population—numbering now perhaps 100,000 out of a total TK population —whose families had been persecuted and sometimes murdered during the Nazi occupation and sometimes by Hitler’s Hungarian collaborators. Hungarian Jews often viewed Stalin’s armies and the Soviet victory as a godsend.
Indeed, Jews, including family members of mine, were heavily involved in two brutal communist dictatorships in Hungary, the first under Bela Kun (Kohn) 1919-1920 and the second under the Stalinist dictatorship of Matyas Rakosi (né Rosenfeld) 1945-1956. Wikipedia refers to these murderers as “atheists,” but they were ethnically Jewish. In Hungary the involvement of Jews in Communist regimes has inevitably generated anti-Semitism, which was already apparent in the uprising in 1956. Although the Israeli historian Jacob Talmon and Richard Pipes discuss this problem in their books, Wikipedia tries to ignore it and dwells on Christian and fascist anti-Semitism among the Magyars

The brilliant, meticulous historian David Irving wrote a book on the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. It was the first to incorporate CIA debriefings of refugees that concluded that the unrest broke out as an expression of anti-Jewish sentiments against the Stalinist regime. The Jewish dominated governments installed in Eastern Union after WWII put to rest the ADA propagated canard that Stalin was an anti-Semite. Every Hungarian, Polish, Serbian, Czech, Slovak, Lithunian, Estonia etc immigrant I have ever met was adamant that when the Russians took over E. and C Europe after WW2 the native Jews formed the goverments and its employees.
A Hungarian whose family fled Hungary after the 1956 revolt when he was about 12 told me that his parents and their friends always claimed that the Jewish Hungarians helped the Russians during that revolt.
Even very young immigrants whose grandparents were teens in the late forties know this. The Canadian goverment noted that virtually all the diplomats who came from the Russian occupied European countries were Jews.

Curious how 1956 is presented exclusively as a Hungary v Russia (Soviet Union) struggle. The blood-stained waterpolo final at the Olympics of that year between the two protagonists embodies the confusion. In that sense Mickey Meadow’s comments above are both prescient and moving. I have simply stopped believing anything I am told and regard “history” as a total racket. The only thing I have left is my Catholic faith and even that (along with the USA) was wrecked in 1965.

If Hungary and Belarus are run by governments that are explicitely pro-White then maybe they can be destinations for race-conscious Whites. Imagine racially-aware Brits, Germans, Swedes, etc. moving into healthy White countries like these and contributing to their economies, arts, culture, etc. Of course that would entail giving up their original nationalities but I’d say those are already destroyed.
I suspect KMac is just noting something of interest in this post, but for some others, I wish we’d stop being impressed by Jews such as Gottfried who will only tenuously and sporadically, at best, confirm our perspective. We don’t need Jews to confirm our position to know we’re right about them. Here’s what I thought was one of Gottfried’s most telling statements:

Seems I recall reading something about Gen. George Patton, who held anti-Semitic views, also died in a car accident. I was reading there is a lot of speculation whether it *was* an accident or something more sinister. This whole story about the Hungarian connection is new to me, and already I’m suspecting foul play in Jorg Haider’s car accident. Mossad at work?
A few corrections. Orbán’s government is not really ethnic nationalist in a Salterian way. I’m not sure where Gottfried gets the information on the Gypsy citizenship question (from fellow Jews? many hysterical untruths have been written about Orbán abroad, not even half is true), but I’m not aware of any Gypsies being deprived (or questioned) of their citizenship. When in a village (of 2500 people, 20% Gypsy) a civil guard association (this is a civilian auxiliary police force, they need authorization from the municipality) with some links to Jobbik (meaning that all or most members were Jobbik sympathizers) was brought in by the municipality against unbearable Gypsy criminality, Orbán’s government quickly sent in the police, made a law against “uniformed crime” (meaning wearing a uniform to express political views), outlawed civil guards who were not permanent residents of the municipality, etc., so basically he was more concerned with the PR damage abroad than with the predicament of the Hungarian population under Gypsy criminality. Orbán explicitly tries to explain his centralizing efforts in terms of “granting safety to our minority citizens, including those of Roma or Jewish descent”, etc.
I can hardly blame Orbán for being so very mainstream, he is still too much for his international opposition (correctly noted: mostly Jewish – Hungarian Jews have a lot of connections abroad, and they seem to be the source of most of the most hysterical untruths about Orbán), and currently he’s having economic problems, and badly needs a loan from the EU and IMF. (Hungary’s total government debt to GDP ratio in 1998, before his first term: 62%, same data beginning of 2002, after his first term: 53%, 2010, after 8 years of Socialist-Liberal economic mismanagement: 82.5%, so he inherited a badly indebted country.)
The new Basic Law (constitution) doesn’t differentiate between citizens of Hungarian ethnic stock and others (this is a hysterical lie, you know who are spreading it), only the preamble is started with the words “We, members of the Hungarian Nation”, but there are no further legal consequences. (Nation in Hungarian means primarily an ethnic group, but it can also mean the “political nation”, a.k.a. all citizens of the country.)
There’s a number of other factual errors in Gottfried’s article, on which I will not dwell here.
@blue rose: I think that regarding Haider’s fate the article confuses two instances: in the year 1999 Haider’s party came close second after the conservative’s. Israel withdrew its ambassador and the European left started a “quarantine” against Austria (Orbán was also criticized for having met the Austrian chancellor back then), and Haider didn’t become member of the government, and his party split later on. Hungarian politics is a bit over my head, but thanks for explaining about Jorg Haider. I was beginning to see ‘Mossad’ everywhere when I read of the car accident. I’m glad it was most likely just an accident.

Hungarians have a kind of love-hate relationship with Austrians (or, more precisely, a kind of sympathetic dislike), but the Haider thing was easy to understand: the left criticized Orbán for meeting the Austrian chancellor during the “quarantine”, and all people on the right could see it for the sham it was.

It is a little misleading to say that “Russians” took over Eastern European states. It is more correct, more sensible to say “Soviets” most of whom consisted of Jews. In any case, Jews made up the most powerful segment of these Soviets.
In my country practically the whole governement was Jewish with the exception of Mr Bierut who was probably put there to “prove” that there were some non-Jews in the government. However, Bierut’s wife was Jewish. The said government introduced a real reign of terror (similar to what happened in Russia when Lenin and Trotzky came to power). Not only so-called right-wingers were arrested, persecuted and murdered. Also large numbers of left-wingers were persecuted and murdered. There are countless stories about it.
It’s a pity that most literature on this subject is not available in English. I have been working on a few translations but they are not ready yet. Some of these stories are so horrible that it’s hard to believe them. All I can say is that what happened in Russia in 1917 and later and what happened in other Easttern European countries in the 40s and 50s was a nightmare.

hmm OK. Thanks. I think I get it now. I wound up reading the entire vdare article by Paul Gottfried, and learned some interesting developments going on, like who Viktor Obran is and what the words ‘Iron Curtain’ actually meant:
Paradoxically, the Iron Curtain was an unintended protective blanket. Hungarians, Poles, Balts, Slovaks, etc. never underwent the kind of multicult indoctrination that has succeeded so well in “Western democracies.” Americans have this knee-jerk reaction to the words ‘Iron Curtain’ (which really no one hears about anymore), which is something like ‘omg the Iron Curtain! That’s bad! That’s a Communist thing!’ Meanwhile, it has a completely different meaning, as I come to learn.
On the EU and its ability to ‘quarantine’ countries like Hungary that don’t go along with multi-culti EU policy: I once read that Germany was assigned to be the financial arm of the EU. Imagine the gall of Angela Merkel ‘assuring’ the world that Austria would be ‘kept under surveillance’:

The only thing in the vdare article I didn’t like was Gottfried’s ending couple of sentences regarding Hungary:
Nonetheless, their fears are real and to some extent understandable. These opponents of Orban would likely be content with a Hungarian government of the deracinated sort being urged by the EU.
Gottfried needs to be watched, I think. He may be writing for vdare, but his last couple of sentences is a Jewish opening for implanting the thought that maybe Obran’s policies are ‘just a little nationalist’ and as an implanted thought for doing away with Obran’s Nationalist — and very strong — policies that he’s implemented. This aside, I guess I commend Gottfried for coming clean on other things.
Prior to the TOO commentary and the vdare article, have to say the only thing I knew about Hungary was from that delightful and innocent old 1940′s movie with Jimmy Stewart called ‘The Shop Around the Corner’. Whenever it’s on I always watch it. Never tire of it.
Wikipedia is enemy-occupied territory, pure and simple. And they’re building settlements in it at a furious pace. What we do in opposition is like pebbles pelting a tank’s armor.
Pity – but parts of it remain quite useful, if you’re careful.

@Alice Teller: I’m not too optimistic. Orbán is not one of us. I don’t think he is really Jew-wise, I also doubt he is an ethnic nationalist – or if he’s one, it’s not showing in his politics, maybe because he’s afraid of the international consequences. Hungary is a small country, even if we never like admitting it, we have to take into account what others tell us. Without Western Europe, Hungary is lost, alone we’re simply too small.
BTW István Csurka, a great nationalist leader (without him, Jobbik would be impossible, even if since 2006 he had a rather bad relationship with Jobbik), former leader of the MIÉP party (Magyar Igazság és Élet Pártja – Party of Hungarian Justice and Life, or Hungarian Party of Justice and Life), passed away two weeks ago. RIP

@Athanasius: I don’t think Fidesz is deliberately trying to redirect nationalist sentiment. I do think they are unable to break with the mainstream, for obvious reasons. E.g. they badly need EU and IMF money, because of the economic mismanagement of the previous government. They simply have no choice but to fall in line.
Having said that, Orbán might be Jew-wise. But wasn’t Nixon also one? I don’t think Orbán is a sellout. I simply think he’s unable to do much to revert Hungary on the road to oblivion: emigration and low birth-rates of the best Hungarian stock, very high birth-rates for the Gypsies, some small-scale immigration – altogether it’s quite questionable whether there will be a Hungary (as we know it) a hundred years hence. (I know, the US is even closer to a total browning.)
@Athanasius: I don’t know much about the Romanian PM. I know that of all the Eastern Central European countries, Hungary has the highest portion of Jews, which makes it obvious that Hungary will always be the “bad nationalist” country. Numbers matter, and the number of leftist intellectuals with a lot of international connections (because of ethnic networking) will be by far the highest in Hungary. But it would be interesting to know, how much hold do Romanian Jews have on the locals.

On one of these was a picture of a perfectly formed round hole directly above the drivers head. His VW Phaeton was completely smashed doing 80 to 90 Mph in a 25Mph zone.
Haider was no idiot and the VW model he drove was (is) among the best cars ever built.
Jews hate White Nationalist leaders. They got a ‘lone nut’ to do Pym Fortuyin in Holland with a shot to his noggin, another ‘lone nut’ did Anna Lindh of Sweden by disembowelling the Foreign Minister with a large carving knife in broad daylight while she was shopping. They bumped off Jurgen Molleman, a German politician whose shtick was dropping into political meeting by parachute by causing BOTH chutes to fail. They have been knocking off our leaders for a very, very long time. They are not our friends, sooner or later they will piss off the wrong person. I’m thinking Putin and he decides to send Israel a very big surprise.

If this is true — then I’m not surprised. The only name you mention that I have heard of is Pym Fortuyin of Holland and that he was shot. The other names I’m not familiar with. But there is DEFINITELY a pattern here. Whenever a Nationalist or anyone bringing up the Jewish Problem dies in an ‘accident’, I suspect a cover-up.
Referring to Athanasius list of 6 or so countries where Nationalist types are thrown out and EU types are put in their place (who then call for taxing the church). Will they be taxing the synagogues also? I suppose they’d have to, or that would be too obvious. But Jews know how to get around things, especially with their fellow Jews who are already controlling The Beast — the European Union.

For all the excitement here about the True Finns, Sweden Democrats, and the Party for Freedom, all remain pretty marginal in their respective countries. I’m not saying that they shouldn’t be encouraged, but it isn’t clear to me that they are up to the challenges they face. Likewise, I’m not sure we can look to France, Germany or the UK for leadership. Meanwhile the process that has wrought so much damage in Northwest Europe proceeds apace in Southern and Eastern Europe…

That is what I was saying in so many words, that EU countries are being deliberately neutered, as you put it. I read that in order to join the EU, a country has to agree to certain stipulations, like open borders, multiculturalism, a policy of ‘anti-racism’, and of course it’s own currency and I guess it’s own national state. I also read somewhere the EU was a Jewish-inspired idea to begin with ( to prevent another ‘Holocaust’ against themselves), and I imagine top officials of the EU are Jews. By doing away with nationalistic type countries, the EU was a way for ‘pay-back’ against these countries and Jewish control of the EU means Jewish control of Western civilization.
The country to watch perhaps is also Norway. That country apparently is not in the EU, and here is a short article about how well Norway is doing today, and asks the question: will Norway join the EU?

@blue rose: Watching the rise and rise of Ron Paul I remarked to my wife that I am somehow reminded of the rise of Bobby Kennedy back long ago, when he was getting rock star receptions wherever he went. Dr Paul is a real threat to many entrenched interests. Dark forebodings, I hope I’m wrong but if he gets closer he’ll need protection. If the word Chutzpah didn’t exist, they’s have to invent it.

The highest “entrenched interest” is the fraudulent (Jewish) Federal Reserve Bank plus of course wars for Israel (especially now against Iran). If Ron Paul comes dangerously close to the presidency he will be “taken out”. That need not be done by a “lone nut” murder (a la Bobby Kennedy) nor even by a “car accident” (a la Jörg Haider), Ron Paul is old enough to die from a “heart attack” (which can nowadays easily be imitated) without arousing suspicions. If he wins he”ll die, if he loses he”ll live.
