In 1989, prolific British writer Paul Johnson published Intellectuals offering case studies of a string of intellectuals, beginning with Jean-Jacques Rousseau and then Shelley, Marx, Ibsen, Tolstoy, Hemingway, Bertolt Brecht, Bertrand Russell, Sartre, right on down to more modern public thinkers. Johnson’s point is that however much these men (and Lillian Hellman) might have professed love of “humanity” and “progress,” they were rats to the actual people around them.
For example, Johnson wrote of the poet Shelley:
Any moth than came near his fierce flame was singed. His first wife, Harriet, and his mistress, Fay Godwin, both committed suicide when he deserted them. In his letters he denounced their actions roundly for causing him distress and inconvenience. . . . His children by Harriet were made wards of the court. He erased them completely from his mind, and they never received a single word from their father. Another child, a bastard, died in a Naples foundling hospital where he had abandoned her.
Of Karl Marx, the self-professed savior of the working man, Johnson wrote: He seduced his wife’s servant, begot a son by her, then forced Friedrich Engels to assume paternity. Marx’s daughter Eleanor once let out a cri de coeur in a letter: “Is it not wonderful, when you come to look things squarely in the face, how rarely we seem to practice all the fine things we preach—to others?” She later committed suicide.
Johnson concluded that we must “Beware intellectuals.” “Not only should they be kept well away from the levers of power, they should also be objects of particular suspicion when they seek to offer collective advice.”
I mention the case of these intellectuals whose private behavior was at such odds with the impact they’ve had on the Western world because I would like to address the works of a man who elicits similar censure from many. This is despite the fact that he has written books that may in the long run have a great impact on the peoples of the fast-declining West.
I bring up this caveat because whenever I’ve mentioned the name of the author in question, acquaintances whose opinions I respect highly have become unusually agitated in denouncing this man. My point, then, is that it is possible that an individual could be thoroughly objectionable in person yet still merit attention as someone who could materially help our race. As Occidental Quarterly standout Michael O’Meara wrote about the author, “In any case, even if the nasty things said about him by his enemies are true, it still distracts not in the least from the quality of his works, which are virtually unparalleled in our community.”
Having said that, I should also add that I have never had contact of any sort with this person and have absolutely no first-hand knowledge of what he may or may not be like, or what he may or may not have done to hurt others in the White Nationalist movement. But I do believe his written works are worth considering.
The works in question are known colloquially as The Northwest Quartet and they tell the fictional story of White Nationalists who consciously and deliberately set out to form an independent homeland for Whites in the American Northwest.
The four novels can be read on many levels, but in this article I will consider them for only one trait: their escapist value.
As we all know, we Whites have been in open racial retreat for two generations now. For that matter, those who really understand what is happening to the White race will likely agree that by the outcome of World War II, the handwriting about the destruction of the White race was already indelibly written on the wall.
For the average thinking White in either North America or Europe, however, it probably wasn’t until the 1980s or even a decade later that it became clear that time after time events were working against White interests. Almost without exception, the elites of the Western world have acted in ways diametrically opposed to the health and survival of White society. We now have endless court cases favoring non-Whites, educational establishments that have demonized Whites for their skin color, feminism that has been bamboozled into believing White men are the root of all evil, and most of all an alien-controlled media that most certainly intends to eradicate—or at least more fully enslave—what remains of the White race.
Since the first Clinton Administration beginning in 1992, life has been a disaster for Whites, particularly White males (though, obviously, White females will only escape the same fate for a further generation or two). I hardly need delineate developments on the American Supreme Court to illustrate the direction in which we have been headed for years. Perhaps most telling is the unchecked legal and illegal immigration into America that has continued irrespective of having a Democrat or Republican in the White House. The elite unquestionably want to “elect a new people.”
Frankly speaking, I’m tired of losing — losing on a daily basis. It is demoralizing and worse. Time and again I’ve thought “real White men” would finally wake up or a courageous leader would appear, but all such hopes have been consistently dashed. We White Nationalists are a maddeningly small group—and we are, I am amazed and frustrated to say, powerless.
It is under such circumstances that I can retreat to the fictional comforts of Harold Covington’s Northwest Quartet and for once enjoy—if only vicariously—the sweet satisfaction of hitting back, of smiting our racial enemies in a most just way. I wish I didn’t have to resort to fiction to experience this adrenaline rush, this sense of wrongs being righted, but that’s all I’ve found in years of searching.

Before visiting a few of the most exciting scenes in the novels, I should add one more disclaimer: There is a lot of blood and killing in these books. After all, it is a fictional account of a revolution, a war, and people die in wars. However, since our society certainly allows for fictional accounts of all kinds of bloody wars, the Northwest novels should be given the same opportunity. Let’s face it, for those of you over a certain age, the violent Tom Clancy novels elicited no shock or social approbation. Don’t let today’s politically correct marginalization of some kinds of fantasy killing turn you away, then.
Speaking of Tom Clancy, his first published novel, The Hunt for Red October (1984), was a submarine thriller with action taking place off the east coast of America. In Covington’s The Brigade, there is also a battle off the American coast, but this one involves the coast of Oregon. And the action is every bit as thrilling as the best of Tom Clancy.
In order to end the “racism” of the “domestic terrorists” trying to create a White homeland in the Northwest, the U.S. government has sent a flotilla of ships to Oregon. Loaded with 1400 FATPO troops (federal soldiers), the team is led by a black general named Roland Rollins, who makes a MacArthur-esque beach landing to be used as a photo op. Meanwhile, the commander of the Coast Guard cutter protecting the convoy is a Hispanic woman, who reached her position as an affirmative action appointee. Unsurprisingly, she is woefully incompetent.
Meanwhile, the Freedom Fighters of the Northwest have laid an ambush on the beach. Having no respect for this ragtag band of fighters, General Rollins makes no preparations for real battle. It costs him. His landing plans involve grounding the ferry he is on, then lowering the door and wading triumphantly onto the beach as cameras roll. The Northwest Volunteers look on in disbelief, with one of them asking:
Have you considered that they may just be bird-brained, stupid and incompetent, and they haven’t got a clue what the fuck they’re doing? This government and the Pentagon have been fighting a bunch of barefoot brown ragheads in the Middle East for almost a generation now, and they still haven’t figured out how to beat them. We’re ruled by idiots.
What happens in a system when you promote people into important jobs and positions based on the color of their skin or the fact that they’ve got tits on ‘em, instead of on their ability to do the job?” asked [another fighter] rhetorically.
Emerging from the ferry to the strains of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic,” Rollins is in his element:
All cameras and almost 200 million pairs of eyes around the world were now turned on Roland Rollins as he came to the edge of the beach, took the pipe from his mouth and placed his hands on his hips, bemedaled and beribboned chest thrust forth. He had elected to fracture not one but two famous white men, MacArthur and Julius Caesar, and steal their words as closely as he could. Roland Rollins announced to the world, “I have come, I will see, and I shall conquer!”
Roland Rollins died at 5:45 a.m. exactly, or 0545 hours to use military time, just as the golden sunrise flooded the beach with glowing amber light. Among the 200 million viewers who saw him die were Captain Meryl Sandoval and Lieutenant Donald Hacker, who were monitoring the raw feed transmission on the bridge of the [Coast Guard cutter] Higby. Both of them stared at the screen as Rollins whirled away into the air flapping like a scarecrow in the wind. Simultaneously they heard a popping and snapping rattle from the shore, almost like a big sheet of cardboard being shredded. On the TV monitor they could see sparks flying on the steel of the ship’s hull and high spatters of sand and water as bullets popped into the beach and the surf. Then the camera was knocked over and all they saw was a stretch of beach and the frothing edge of the incoming tide, with the occasional spurting round strike zipping and splatting. About one minute later a dead hand flopped in front of the camera; there was no way to tell who it belonged to.
The Northwest Volunteers proceed to decimate the federal troops. The Coast Guard cutter could have been a very effective deterrent, but the affirmative-action female captain is a huge liability. In a priceless scene, she manages to single-handedly destroy and sink her own ship. And Covington makes it all sound plausible, so much like what today’s America is actually like.
In another affirmative action scene, Covington conjures up the character of a Filipina who has slept her way to a high position in the FBI. She has the improbable name of Rabang Miller. Like the incompetent Hispanic Coast Guard captain, Miller too is clueless. Despite this, she is supremely arrogant because she knows that as a woman of color she holds power over all White males, including her henpecked partner, Brian Pangborn. Covington describes him well:
Agent Miller’s partner was Special Agent Brian Pangborn. Pangborn was the kind of agent who would have gone far under the old régime of J. Edgar Hoover. He was tall and lean, with sandy hair and blue eyes, sharp from his freshly pressed suit and his spit-shined shoes up to his buzz cut, an All-Conference quarterback in high school and later on a star for Texas A&M, a law degree he’d actually earned through study and hard work. He was married to a nice Barbie Doll wife with two kids in a suburban split-level ranch. Although he wasn’t one of the Mormons Hoover had favored above all, he didn’t drink and he didn’t smoke, and he was a regular churchgoer and active member of Promise Keepers and the 700 Club.
Because they are agents of the American government, the Northwest Volunteer Army considers them enemy combatants. As such, they are stalked by some volunteers. Trailing the agents down the highway, the volunteers strive not to alert Miller and Pangborn. Pangborn’s warrior instincts, however, tell him something is amiss:
In the Chrysler, Rabang Miller pulled out her pistol and jacked a round into the chamber. “Be careful with that!” snapped Pangborn, looking for a place to pull over so he could let the Yukon pass, or not as the case might be. He saw a possible pulling off spot right at the intersection of Tongue Point Road and Emerald Drive, and so he was actually slowing down and veering right when all of a sudden the Camry roared out of Tongue Point Road and stopped right beneath the blinking yellow light hanging over the intersection. Pangborn saw two men in ski masks leap out of the car. He heard the stuttering of the Uzi, saw the muzzle flash and heard the pop pop pop as the 9-mm slugs slammed into the windshield. The polycarbonate glass held, but big ugly white splotches blossomed on the windshield before him. “It’s them!” screamed Rabang in terror. “Fuck the car behind us, you asshole! They’re in front of us!”
Pangborn decided to try for a right turn up onto Emerald Drive, but he briefly saw a black cylindrical sailing through the air toward him. It banged against the windshield, bounced off, and just as he yelled “Bomb!” the pipe bomb exploded in the air about four feet in front of the FBI agents, with a weird crushing sound rather like a cross between a crump! and a clink! The Chrysler’s armor still held, but the front bumper was ripped almost entirely off and flapped up onto the windshield, and the force of the explosion crumpled the front end and caused all kinds of hissing and steaming fluid leaks and electrical shorts within. Pangborn lost control and the Chrysler slid into the ditch. The Uzi was still pattering bullets against the armored body.
A mere 50 yards behind them, the Yukon rolled to a stop. Hatfield got out and covered down on the disabled FBI vehicle with his submachine gun, leaning over the Yukon’s hood, waiting for a target. Cat-Eyes Lockhart was out the other door and he slithered up onto the roof with the agility of a serpent, spreading himself prone and sighting the rifle. “If they don’t come out I’ll move in with our bomb. Get ready to cover me!” called out Hatfield.
Steam, smoke and the smell of burning began to fill the passenger compartment of the Chrysler through the vents from the damaged engine. “We’re on fire!” shrieked Special Agent Miller. She tore her door open and bailed out of the car.
In Covington’s view, Jews are the eternal enemy of Aryans, and this is reflected in his fiction. The worldview he creates in A Mighty Fortress is one in which Whites and Jews are at war with one another, as indicated in this dialogue about dealing with the U.S. government:
Some people might advocate that we accept some kind of half a loaf as a springboard for something better in the future, but history proves that doesn’t work with ZOG. With liberal democracy, you start at a certain level of moral and decent existence and then everything decays from there, kind of like radioactive half life. The United States started at an exalted level in 1783 and it decayed from that point on. Anywhere there are Jews, things only go downhill. The only hope that our people have for any kind of continued existence is the absolute removal of the Jew and everything the Jew has created from our lives, our consciousnesses, our hearts and our souls. We’re like the wolves, the buffalo, the damned spotted owls. We’re an endangered species. White people have to have their own safe habitat, clean and uncontaminated, if we are to raise our young, build up our numbers and thrive once again.
Currently, it appears Jews are winning handily, and the consequences for Whites—particularly White males—are dire. In some cases they are heart wrenching. Long nudged aside in employment due to affirmative action policies, in A Mighty Fortress White men have become America’s expendable class. Called to fight the endless wars in the Middle East, they are despised and dispossessed people at home, hardly citizens at all.
We meet the end product of this process when two NVA members burst into an apartment to use it as a sniper site. Inside they find an old White man, Englehardt, who barely survives on his pitiful pension. His only son was killed in Iraq in 2007, one of his grandsons lost a leg fighting Palestinians in Gaza, and the other grandson “hasn’t worked in a couple of years. He told a nigger joke and some white asshole informed on him, so he’s blacklisted.”
Englehardt is impoverished because the novel posits the loss of Social Security due to government malfeasance. One of the volunteers asks him “How can anyone live on $445 a month? And if you don’t mind my asking, how can you afford to live in this place?”
“Oh, the Jews who built these condos got a complete rebate on all property taxes forever and a day from those corrupt leeches in the state and county government, no taxes or water or electricity rates at all so long as they reserve two apartments for codgers like me, so-called deserving seniors,” snarled the old man. “Me and old lady Hoskins down in 2-B drew the short straws. . . . Betty Hoskins got in by claiming she was a dyke, which is kind of ridiculous for a woman of 75, and it shamed the hell out of her, but what the hell else could she do? If it weren’t for this place we’d have both been sent to a home and probably gotten the needle by now. Damned wog doctors can’t kill us old white folks off fast enough, once the private insurance runs out. But it ain’t the whole $445 I have to live on every month, son. They still charge me $400 a month for this apartment.”
“That leaves you $45 a month to live on. How can you possibly survive on that?” demanded Hatfield.
“I’ll show you. Go look in my kitchen, in the cupboards over the counter.” Hatfield went in and opened the cupboards. He saw long rows of cans.
“Dog food?” said Zack in a startled voice, incredulous and horrified. “You live on dog food? Mother of God!”
“Cheap dog food at that,” chortled Englehardt. “Alpo is gourmet cooking for me. Oh, I do get some help from the local food bank, if I can get down there early on Monday morning before the Mexicans swarm in and grab all the good stuff. They give me some rice and beans, usually, and sometimes dried potatoes and onions, and I’ve learned to make up a kind of goulash. Also I can sometimes get some things like Louisiana hot sauce or garlic to kill the taste, although most anything that’s strong enough plays hob with my old digestion. I cook it all up in one pot on the stove there and keep it festering. That’s it in front of you.”
Hatfield lifted the lid of a stock pot on the stove and saw a gooey mess that looked like vomit inside. “Dear God!” he moaned.
In contrast, two wealthy Jews in the city lead an entirely different existence. While Englehardt subsists on dog food, they were preparing to enjoy a $60,000 kosher dinner flown in from Israel. Englehardt fairly seethes from the injustice, especially as he remembers the physical sacrifices he and his kin have made. Take grandson Todd, for example. Todd
lost his leg defending Israel from the poor nation they stole that land from, defending that Jew’s right to sit down to a sixty grand feed not three hundred yards from where I sit eating dog food. That’s a Silver Star from Khe Sanh hanging on my wall there, and now my son is dead and my grandson maimed for life defending those people and their shitty little stolen country, nothing but a blank wall ahead for those I will soon leave behind, and they sit there within my sight stuffing sixty thousand dollars in their faces. God damn them! God damn them to hell! Christ, I get so hungry…” Hatfield saw the tears rolling down the old man’s cheeks now. Englehardt looked up and said quietly. “Boys, if that was you out there last night, you did right. You did a good thing, a just thing. Don’t ever doubt that. I can die happier now, because I lived to see a little justice, for me and mine. Today you’re going to give me some more. Do what you gotta do, boys, and don’t worry about me.”
Such an America has been relentlessly engineered by the Jews, who in the novels control all the important positions in America. One such character is Sammy Rothstein, Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, who appears in A Distant Thunder. To show the power of the United States, he has scheduled a secret visit to the heart of Northwest country, Olympia, Washington. The volunteers get wind of it and set up an ambush.
The action here is breathtaking. For instance, one of the limos guarding the justice’s convey drives over a bomb and is sent hurtling through the air. The volunteers then manage to ram the Chief Justice’s car, setting up a chase through the woods and a gun battle. The struggle is described in the first person by one of the volunteers:
I moved low and fast about thirty yards through the bush, parallel to the roadway, and I heard an engine and braking tires. The black Feep and Rothstein were shouting and trying between them to drag a young white couple out of their green Kia. The couple thought they were being carjacked, which they were, in a sense. The young guy took a few ineffectual punches at the bodyguard, who cold-cocked him with a single blow from the barrel of the Glock. The white kid dropped like a sack of potatoes. The white girl was screaming and crying and trying to mace the nigger with some pepper spray she had on a key chain. He tore the mace away from her. I heard the bones in her hand crack over her shrieks. Then she looked over and saw me. “Get down!” I roared at her. “NVA! Hit the dirt!” She understood NVA, and even twenty feet away I saw her go as white as a sheet in pure terror. She copped to what was happening and she dove for the tarmac, covering the body of her husband or boyfriend with her own. The black saw me as well and snapped up his Glock fast as lighting. I heard the bullet tweet past my ear. Fire-a-burst-of-six. He staggered and turned and twirled down onto the road. I saw his white shirtfront soaked in red. The fool wasn’t wearing his kevlar and he paid for it with his life.
Rothstein was scuttling away down the road, his bandy legs pumping, his sticklike arms sprouting out of his plump body, waving like windmills. I charged after him. When I got clear of the Kia I popped a couple of rounds at his feet, and he stopped. “A million dollars!” I heard him shriek. “A million! I swear, a million dollars I’ll pay!” I walked up behind him. I guess by then I was half insane. I could only remember something from my high school drama class, one of the few parts of school I’d enjoyed. I spoke. Well, I kind of croaked. Or maybe shouted. I don’t know. They were the only words I could think of to say.
“Turn, hell-hound!”
Samuel L. Rothstein understood, and he turned with a gasp of horror. I saw the round face, the white rolling eyes, the frizzy fringe of hair, the obscene revolting nose. I saw that godawful face and nose raise up to the sky. From the thick, veal-colored lips came a—I guess you’d call it a howl, but it wasn’t really. It was like a loud evil bleat, the sound of a dead soul vomiting. Seventy years ago this happened, and I can’t get that terrible scream out of my ears. Never mind. I can’t describe it and even if I could I don’t understand whatever the hell it was, so I couldn’t make you understand. They’re not like us, and there’s no Aryan equivalent. It was just—it was horrible. That creature was standing in the middle of Henderson Boulevard and it bellowed its death cry unto its god, to whatever force of cosmic power put the Jewish people on earth to torture and oppress the rest of us. In his last moments of life Samuel Rothstein experienced an epiphany. A revelation of cosmic proportions, one that came far too late to be of any use at all to him. Samuel L. Rothstein suddenly understood that his god had betrayed him. A revelation of eternal truth shattered his soul moments before the bullets from my Kalashnikov shattered his body, that revelation being that the Jewish people ain’t anywhere near as goddamned clever as they think they are.
In what is perhaps the best sequence in all four novels, the NVA hatches a mission to mete out some justice to Hollywood. The commander of the volunteers explains that
after a lot of consideration, the Portland brigades have been selected to put together a special active service unit for a series of highly sensitive and risky operations, the first extensive campaign the NVA has mounted outside the Northwest Homeland itself. The name of this unit will be Task Force Director’s Cut. Its mission will be to neutralize one of the prime weapons that ZOG has in this war, which is the Hollywood movie, media, and entertainment industry, and to render that industry as useless to the enemy as we can possibly accomplish. Put bluntly, we are going down to Hollywood, and we are going to take the Dream Machine apart at the seams.
Covington’s writing shows that he understands the disastrous impact Hollywood has had on the White world. A commander of the NVA sums it up:
Gentlemen, I don’t have to tell you that ever since the invention of the motion picture over a century ago, the movie industry has been the most completely Jewish field of private enterprise in the world, with the exception of international banking and the stock exchange. Even today, Yiddish is considered to be Hollywood’s second language. Literally so. It is spoken regularly on movie lots and sound sets, and in every office and casting department and boardroom. The senior executive office complex of every major production studio contains a private synagogue or chapel called a mincha, with one or more rabbis attached, as well as special glatt kosher catering facilities and kitchens. Entire boards of directors in Hollywood and also at their parent companies in New York sometimes hold Jewish religious services prior to meetings. Every crucial, non-technical job on the business and creative end of any major movie is either held by a Jew or is in the power of a Jew, from the studio heads, the producers and the directors, down to the scriptwriters, the casting directors, the agents, the accountants, and anything to do with the money. Even in areas that seem to be controlled by Gentiles, you will find that somewhere along the line during the process, Jews have crucial input and veto power. This control by the Tribe is pervasive and complete, and it extends into television as well, with the exception of two of the major cable networks, which are heavily Jewish in their senior personnel but are owned by consortiums of super-wealthy Protestant evangelical Christians of the Israel-worshipping, neo- Zionist persuasion, major neocons and Republican party backers, who are in their own way even more poisonous in their evil than the Jews themselves, because they have no excuse for turning on their own blood.
I do not need to tell you of the terrible and largely irreversible damage that Hollywood has done to the white race and to Western civilization over the past century. For four generations, the international bankers and the corrupt politicians have committed unspeakable crimes against humanity, especially the war after war after bloody war they have plunged our people into for Jewry’s sake, but it is Hollywood and Hollywood’s mutant bastard spawn television that has made the white people of America and the world swallow these atrocities and actually support them with enthusiasm. It is Hollywood that has spent the past 50 years pushing every conceivable kind of perversion of body and mind down the throats of white people. It is Hollywood that has turned the loathsome practice of homosexuality into something cute and trendy, the subject for silly jokes, when it is in fact a poison of the very soul. It is Hollywood that has turned white women as portrayed on film into either mindless sex objects, or else de-gendered, masculinized, man-hating neurotics. It is Hollywood that has poisoned the minds and broken the spirits of generation after generation of white children who are now beyond recovery, and turned them into wiggers. The bankers have stolen our money. The federal government of the United States has stolen our lives and our freedom and soaked the earth with Aryan blood, spilled to save a filthy race of Asiatic parasites. But Hollywood has stolen our peoples’ minds and souls, and in some ways that makes Hollywood more evil to my mind even than the sinks of iniquity centered in New York and Washington, D.C. Comrades, we will go down to southern California, we will grip this monster by the throat, and we will cut its heart out!” There was a cheer from around the table; the men found the project to their liking.
I won’t get into any details of the attack but I can guarantee most readers will find it captivating. And I’m not the type to make such guarantees. The writing is simply that good.
On balance, these novels are important for our people. Novels like this create an emotionally intense reaction in readers that cannot be approached by non-fiction essays. We identify with the characters and desperately wish for the destruction of their enemies. Of course, this is exactly why the Left, including the Hollywood elites so hated by Covington, has always used fiction to get their points across: Whites are evil, Blacks, Latinos and Jews are victims of White racism, etc.
Of course, one can complain about some of the language and some of the portrayals. For example, the use of the word ‘nigger’ by characters that readers are supposed to sympathize with is probably counter-productive and may well turn off many readers who would be otherwise attuned to the messages and characters of the books.
And, like pretty much all fiction, the books do not have the in-depth historical analysis that would be typical of a scholarly work. Rather than charts and statistics about the ill effects of affirmative action on Whites, there are compelling White victims and non-White beneficiaries of a system that is already well in place. It doesn’t take much imagination to realize that Covington’s portrayal of the future is not at all far-fetched.
In other words, the books are ultimately grounded on a firm factual base—far firmer than the yarns continually spewed out by Hollywood with its cast of eternal victims and counter-stereotypical, sympathetic portrayals of Blacks and other “victims of White racism” (e.g., the numinous Negroes and Black computer geeks and action heroes that pervade the American media).
However, as with all good fiction, these books more than make up for their lack of didactic presentation of facts with their emotional impact on readers. And in the end, it is emotion that is a necessary ingredient in producing the types of changes that are so desperately needed.
All four of these novels can be found on the Internet, but I can’t see reading them online or wasting time and paper printing them out. Amazon offers them for reasonable prices, so get your copies now. For those just dipping into the fiction of Harold Covington, I’d recommend either A Distant Thunder or A Mighty Fortress first. Then move to the 735-page magnum opus The Brigade. It was easily the most engrossing fictional saga I’ve ever read and I can’t see how others would find otherwise. Even at its length, it ended far too soon.

My interview with you was one of the factors contributing to my firing. Apparently a few blowhards were of the opinion that, because of my interview, the Department of Homeland Security would use the Patriot Act to turn them out of their ten million dollar mansions for occasionally throwing a few thousand bucks toward The Occidental Quartlerly. That was one of three conflicting rationales given to me, but probably none of them was the true reason.

As a fan of both TOO and Counter Currents I am not sure if I really want to know why Greg was fired. Both Greg and Kevin are brilliant men and deserve our support. Harold is not quite in the same league but I enjoy his novels and he does raise some good points. I don’t believe in the NW state but see no harm in White people dominating any particular area. But then, Harold probably thinks I am barmy in believing the Christian view that Jeremiah deposited an item in the opposite end of the country that will be instrumental in the retaking of America when God decides that enough is enough. What you must understand Connelly, is that our White nobility and aristocracy have a very different mindset to us, and had been very heavily intermarried with jews by the 18th century across Europe. I’d be surprised to find out that there are still wealthy Europeans left out there WITHOUT any Jewish blood. This “jewing” of the European aristocracy and “old money” has been going on for two centuries, so it’s nothing new.
I used to put a lot of faith in the European aristocracy, but the more I read and research, the more I realize they were complete elitist traitors who were hand-in-glove with the moneylending Jew almost from day one. I’d venture to guess there are still a lot of pure blue-blood nobles out there, although you have a point. It’s funny, shortly before David Cameron was elected Prime Minister in Britain, he found out he was part Jewish. If you want to read a good piece of literature about the Eastern European gentry’s attitude towards the Jews, a good book is Memoirs of an Anti Semite by Gregor Von Rezzori. The book is beautiful and intensely readable. There’s actually a lot of Jews who immediately jumped on it and said that the book was amazing at revealing the anti-semitism leading up to WWII, but after reading it I actually think Von Rezzori was an anti-semite himself. You can tell from reading it and reading up on Von Rezzori that the book was loosely autobiographical
I do think that some of the best and the brightest of the White race have been massacred in so many of the pointless wars we have waged against one another. Unfortunately the white race was far too smart for its own good and quickly developed weapons that produced wholesale slaughter.

Yeah, sure, whatever. I basically agree. If anything was going to happen to secure a country for the White race, or a part of the United States, it would have happened already IMO. I’m young, in my 20′s. I’m a member of American 3P. I’ve been interested in the white movement since a very young age, and laugh at these idiots who wake up in their 50s to this issue. If you were too dumb to catch on earlier, than what good are you?
Although what good am I? Besides sending some money to A3P, I have done nothing to help the White cause. There are a lot of reasons for this but mainly I live in a very liberal city, would be ostracized by most of my peers if I revealed my belief, etc.
I think Dr. MacDonald is an incredibly brave person for all he has done but even he has stated that that young White nationalists should wait until they have tenure (if they plan to go into academia) before the espouse their ideas about these types of issues. For the vast majority of Americans, there is no tenure and there is no social support net for expressing a ethnic interest in being a white European.
That being said, these books genuinely hold no interest for me. I have no problem with other people reading them though and don’t even care to understand the little spats that are going on across this whole thread about this Covington fellow. Sounds like some “gossip” and in-fighting in the WN community that borders on pathetic.

I grew up in the 50s and 60s. Where I grew up, in Southern California, it was still truly White. There were a few itinerant Mexican farmworkers, but they kept to themselves and weren’t “uppity” like many are now. Even when the 64 Civil Rights act passed, and the 65 immigration act passed, nothing changed quickly. It was only 20 years later that change became more visible in the area I grew up in.
We were brought up White, but had no need to be explicitly White. It was quite normal for us to feel “this is just the way things will always be”. I have 5 direct generations of Californians behind me, and some of the men in the Bear Flag Revolt were related. It was only natural for us to think what had always been would continue to be. We had no idea who and what was lurking under the bed and waiting to destroy the wonderful place that was California at this time.
You were born into the mess. You never knew White America. I’m glad you are awake and at a young enough age to be a part of the solution, but please don’t denigrate older Whites who weren’t born into the “mess”, and had no idea it was coming. Monday Morning quarterbacking is all too easy, especially for someone who has much to learn still.

Covington’s novels are inevitably going to mislead nationalists even if they are only reading them for relaxation, bear with me a moment. The original no- rules ‘mixed martial arts’ tournaments ( without weight classes) called ‘The Ultimate Fighting Championship were held from 1993 Almost everybody expected the Bruce-Lee-style striking of the martial artists to be spectacularly effective. After all they’d all seen with their own eyes how a marital arts expert could take out several huge thugs with no problem.
When the contest started it quickly became apparent that the kick- boxing and Karate style strikers were totally unable to defend themselves against grapplers who wrestled them to the ground and forced submissions with locks and choke holds, the contest was won by a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who was the lightest man in the competition.
People (even martial arts experts) have got their idea of how effective martial arts are by watching movies and tv. Real fighting is ugly has the disadvantage that the big and powerful triumph even if they are evil. In the movies the good and true are supposed to win against the odds – without so much as a chipped tooth. Hence the fable of martial arts skills – being very useful to the entertainment industry- is used again and again on screen. However much they know it’s make believe for entertainment purposes only people still believe what they see. Fictional can be inspiring so there is a place for it, but people will come to believe that some ‘tactics’ they’re read about would or could work.
I’m all for taking inspiration from reading about a white person with a high level of commitment who overcame the odds, and that includes military men, But we can choose from the life stories of real white human beings for that, we don’t need to turn to made up stories. Fiction generally has as a subject areas of life which few people have any real life experience of, there is an inbuilt bias towards getting the consumer to believe that modes of action (which are in fact dysfunctional in the real world) will actually work. History teaches real lessons and, if you are invested in the people you read about, plenty of emotional charge .
I teach JKD (Bruce Lees concepts with added MMAs) and your “ring fighting” has rules.. I don’t and the street doesn’t. Try taking me down after toss a finger jab in your eyes or smash your skull with a ballistic knee when you try for a takedown. It helps to be big and strong but a small man can defeat a much larger man in a real self defense fight. I’ve been doing it all my life in genuine self defense situations. It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog. Compare a 40 lb Staffordshire terrier to a 100 lb Labrador retriever, the Staff will win. Steve, the (genetic mediated) ferocity of a Staffordshire terrier is innate. Are white people innately racially aware ‘pit bulls’ straining at the leash ? No they are not. Dave, I was trying to say that the number of whites who have the level of commitment required for schemes like Covington’s is vanishingly small yet he is apparently being taken seriously. As difficult as it is to try and shout some sense over all the noise on here, I will attempt to answer Someday’s point.
We are not talking about a kick-boxing contest; the Northwest novels describe a guerrilla war, a colonial war, of a kind that has in fact already taken place numerous times over the last century with at least a 50% success rate, depending of course on how one defines success. This template WORKS, when prosecuted with physical courage and integrity, where certain geopolitical and economic conditions pertain. I believe that in theory it would work in the United States under the type of conditions I describe in my novels, which are fast becoming reality.
Now, if only we can acquire the type of CHARACTER displayed by the white people in my books….
Guerrilla wars have had some successes but I think the main factor was that they were post colonial struggles where the Guerrillas had home advantage and the foreign conventional forces just decided that is was not worth the trouble. A Guerrilla civil war is a completely different in that the opposition are also on their own turf and can’t give up and go home. Only against decayed tottering regimes like Batista’s Cuba, Somoza’s Nicaragua, or Ethiopia did campaigns such as you are proposing have successes, an important fact is that when the US tried to repeat the trick with they failed:
The Kennedys tried everything to get a insurgency going in Cuba – they couldn’t do it, nor could reagan in El Salvador.

Many good WNs have been banned from VNN while non-whites and obvious trolls are allowed to ruin every thread. All of Linder’s hard and fast rules develop exceptions when he wants to keep a non-white or anti around.
Something isn’t right about him, he sets off my alarms even more than Covington, and that’s not good.
My criticisms of Linder, specifically his attempt to rehabilitate the loathsome Glenn Miller, are part of of my Wicked Ways that have produced a lot of the noise you see on here, ditto my criticism of three or four other Great White Leaders down through the years owing to specific policies or incidents of behavior.

A.L. has banned links to H.A. because he considers him a “congenital liar”, which to most of us would be an insult, but when it comes to writing fiction, what higher recommendation could an author receive? It’s the equivalent of saying “he’s a natural born genius”.
This is a book review, not a personality contest.
Whether being a congenital liar should be regarded as a positive or negative trait in a fiction-writer depends on what you expect from the fiction.
Dr. Pierce wrote The Turner Diaries as a vehicle for conveying TRUTH to people who would not be interested in picking up the National Vanguard tabloid and reading it. Dr. Pierce got people to think about the direction in which society was heading.
Dr. Pierce included a White opposition movement, but its success in the novel is largely a matter of chance occurrence verging on deus ex machina. The primary course of action that Dr. Pierce advocated and pursued in real life was creation of White media. Dr. Pierce did not represent his novel as a quasi-blueprint for action the way Covington does.
What Covington is doing is different. Covington is pushing the notion that every racially conscious White person should pull up stakes and relocate to the Pacific Northwest, and that this alone constitutes “doing something.”
Now, if you have a “congenital liar” — who by nature must have a rather tenuous grip on reality, and very possibly has motives other than those stated — advocating a particular course of action and doing it in a persuasive manner because he is talented as a liar, how is this a good thing?
It’s too bad that Connelly only wanted to examine Covington’s novels as escapism. Covington’s novels may work as “escapism” but they are really a prescription for action, and in my view a very bad one.

It has seemed to me from my interactions with Covington’s small coterie of fans that “escapism” is a strong tendency in these people. Obviously if “escapism” is what one seeks, a bottle of liquor or some other intoxicant would fittingly augment Covington’s fiction.

Last month I learnt something that really shocked me. The Spanish Armada sailed against England in 1588 with the intention of overthrowing Elizabeth I. After the victory several diseases and hunger killed about half (estimated at 6,000–8,000) of the heroic sailors as they were discharged without pay: an horrendous betrayal by their own government. So Elizabeth, who together with her father created England, was after all a very flawed politician. Only in the movies are people flawless.
Back to Covington. One of the beauties of his plan is that if you hate him you don’t have to take orders from him or anyone in the Northwest. Unlike the “Organization” in Pierce’s novel, the Northwest Volunteer Army will be made up strictly of volunteers. You can even be an honorary NVA member working by yourself as a lone wolf once revolution starts. No one is obliged to obey the Old Man—no one—, as in regular armies you have superiors.
Covington’s “Butler Plan” is the only available plan in the whole nationalist movement to regain control of at least one government. Personal grudges must be forgotten when the fan really gets hit.
The danger for the revolution is not a cranky Old Man shooting the poor ducks in his backyard, even if he committed the mistake to name “Pierce” one of his ducks (cf. The Hill of the Ravens page 295). The real danger is in-fighting.
Exactly right Hadding. HAC is a slanderer and a fantasist. His glorious fiction accomplishes nothing except acting as a “safety valve” for the system, akin to porn or video games, that jazzes up would be opponenents of Jewry with dreams of glory and pie in the sky. Get off your rears and do something productive instead of dreaming the “NW migration” delusion, folks.
I am dismayed by his strident anti-gay rhetoric of Dr. Connelly’s article, as well as that contained in the source material. I propose a different model for our Northwestern homeland: the world’s first gayocracy(pinkocracy?). We would be ruled by a phalanx of elite homesexuals. The rationale is that their lack of close family connections would make them less vulnerable to the mafia tactics of the Enemy. A young man’s social status would largely be determined by the number of homosexual affairs he had partaken of. Naturally, our capital will be San Francisco, for symbolic purposes. My first propagandistic book is to be entitled A Mighty Bath House, to be followed by A Distant Disco, et al.
Why use this blog as a platform for which to demoralize white people. We are many and we are strong. We are the smartest and most innovative. We will survive. When enemies pick on those that are stronger than them, eventually the docility wears off and the monster is unleashed.

That said, his vision of a North West Homeland is impossible. The numbers simply don’t add-up. I can see some value in this kind of stuff as escapist fantasy or inspirational material, but as an actual plan to follow, it’s nuts. Militarily confronting the US government is a totally insane idea.
I must admit I look forward to hearing about how the nukes issue will be dealt with. I’d also like to hear how the conventional bombs, tanks, predator drones, aircraft carriers, etc. will be dealt with.
I also would like to know why it is assumed that affirmative action beneficiaries would be in charge of an attack on the NWF. Why wouldn’t they just use White troops – either the conventional military or Blackwater mercs? Is there some reason to believe they couldn’t get a 100% White army to go up there and take you guys out? Is there evidence that the military is becoming disloyal to the government that I’m not aware of?

I might get around to reading these at some point, but in the mean time: is there a short answer to these questions? Like maybe a several page article? I don’t see it on the FAQ of your website, and I’d imagine “doesn’t the government have, like, nukes and shit?” has to be one of the questions you get asked a lot.
Thats right too. It’s silly as hell actually and it only lends to the negative image of “racists” as credulous buffoons. Right now the US armed forces have as much experience as any nation in eradicating insurgencies and for example the one in Iraq was prepared in advance by a dictator who knew exactly what he was doing and he had the forces of sectarian civil war on his side and it was still only what a couple of years before Uncle Schmuely got his way and the Sunni resistance was bought off. This may be a bitter pill to swallow but we’re going to be a minority in any future coalition that decides to eliminate Jewish power and relegate it to the dustbin of history.
In a future coup d’état Whites would have to win over the military and police to our side. This would presumably mean that we have access to the nuclear bombs, tanks, jets, etc. We’d seize the media and power plants (this includes the oil supply) first, and the banks* immediately after. We have to freeze all of the financial assets of Jews, especially Jewish elites. This would immediately stop them from hopping on a plane, retaliating, driving anywhere (no gasoline), or doing anything. We would move on to seize the food and water supply. This means farms and groundwater, surface water, lakes, etc. During this whole time, we can broadcast our message to millions of people over the internet, TV, radio, newspapers, etc. In the end, we have to herd all of the mestizos, orientals, and negroes into specific locales. After that, simply just quarantining them will suffice.
Remember that after we have control of the military, we seize 1) media and power plants/oil first, 2) banks (including the Federal Reserve) second, 3) food and water supply next. These events would have to happen in fairly rapid succession, but I would prefer the first two happen simultaneously. The police and general public will eventually go over to our side when we broadcast over the media the promise of: peace, food, water, and free money to everyone (free money will be transferred from seized financial assets of Jews to the non-Jewish population).
*The FBI has acknowledged that they have the power to freeze or delete anyone’s bank account.

Personal Note From HAC
Yesterday I received confirmation, if any was needed, that both the Northwest Front and myself personally are being cyber-stalked. The illegal and harassing behavior most likely originates with the Cognitive Dissonance program being run by White House Deputy Communications Director Cass Sunstein ([photo] above), which the government admits exists and which they have established for the purpose of interdicting and disrupting alternative websites that oppose the regime’s agenda. But it’s being done by someone.
This means that among other responses, I have to do certain things to alter my internet footprint and also alter the manner in which I use forums and bulletin boards and comments sections on the Net. It is annoying, to be sure, but in the long run quite ineffective in preventing the Northwest message from being spread on the internet.
I have a great deal of personal experience with cyber-stalking, as some of you know. From 1997 through 1999, I was subjected to one of the most systematic and vicious campaigns of stalking, sabotage, denial of service, defamation of character, and deranged vilification in the history of the internet.
This was carried out by an Induhvidual whom I suspect was involved in the Oklahoma City bombing in the role of John Doe Number Two, and who has since been rejected by the entire White Nationalist movement because of the increasing general belief that my suspicions of the time were correct. During this time I became an expert in dealing with cyber-stalking. I am still here and functioning, and he is completely marginalized and discredited, if he even still exists. (No one has seen him physically in almost ten years, although his old e-mail address still occasionally spews toxic waste into cyber-space.)
I won that one, and I will win any future cyber-bouts with Sunstein’s operatives in the sense that the Northwest message and the Northwest novels will never be silenced, and will continue to command an increasing level of the White community’s attention in the coming years.
Yes, cyber-stalking is annoying. But when you’re in a war for the survival of everything that is good and decent in the world, it naturally follows that every now and then, the enemy is going to annoy you. Illegitimi non carborundem.

That VNN Forum episode is just the best and clearest example of Covington’s being busted for use of sockpuppets that I know. Obviously, you have not read any of the novels. Further, I wonder if you are really attuned to what all brands of White Nationalism are warning: The White Race is in imminent danger. Again, you missed my point about Elizabeth I. Even though she and her government horribly betrayed the soldiers who gave Britain one of her greatest and most influential victories ever, one cannot deny that the defeat of the Spanish Armada was pivotal in the creation of the new nation.

I didn’t say that “psychiatry is Jewish” but that you have used Freudian-like tricks to denigrate your enemies, which is something altogether different.
I know little of Covington’s family conflict. But in my clinical experience I’ve encountered lots of cases where the abusive family hires a shrink to stamp the label of “schizoid”, “ADHD”, “personality disorder”, “bipolar” —you name it— on perfectly sane children, teenagers and even young adults who cannot hire the shrink themselves. In other words, according to my experience the shrink almost always sides the abusive parent (or brother) against the saner, albeit unemployed, family member.

Oh yes, superficially Covington seems quite compelling. You have to dig a little deeper than that — or pay attention to somebody like me that has already done the work! Let me make it easy for you.
MURDERS THAT NEVER HAPPENED
Harold Covington would have us believe that Ben Klassen, founder of the Church of the Creator and author of Nature’s Eternal Religion, was responsible for many unpunished crimes, including a number of murders, and that although he, Covington, knew this, somehow Klassen was never charged.
Part 1. “Barry Edwards”
There is the case of “Barry Edwards,” which appears in Covington’s vicious obituary of Klassen in 1993, which is visible online and was reproduced in several of Jeffrey Kaplan’s books about White Nationalism. The story is perpetuated in A Brief History of the White Nationalist Movement (2007) as follows:
“1978 – Klassen business manager Barry Edwards is murdered in what police call a “gangland style execution.” Edwards’s body is found on June 12th, 1978 in the trunk of a car parked at a public beach in West Palm Beach.”
This seems to be total fiction. In a Google News Archive search through the whole decade of the 1970s you will not find reference to a murdered Barry Edwards in West Palm Beach. An inquiry was sent to the West Palm Beach Police Department as to whether any Barry Edwards was murdered in that city in 1978. On 31 August 2010 Sergeant Jim Cink of the homicide unit gave this response:
“Regarding your inquiry into the death/murder of a Mr. Barry Edwards, our records show a Barry Edwards alive as of April 1984. Without any other details such as his date of birth, social security number, etc., we may not be talking about the same person. I can tell you we don’t have, according to our records, a Barry Edwards murdered in the City of West Palm Beach after 1967.”
Part 2. “Dennis Witherspoon”
This is from the section of A Brief History of the White Nationalist Movement called “The Strange Tale of Benny Klassen,” which contains stories long peddled by Harold Covington:
“1990 – On October 12th, 20 year-old former Skinhead Dennis Witherspoon is found dead in a rural area of Dade County, Florida. He has been bound with duct tape and shot several times in the head with a .22-caliber revolver. Witherspoon was known to have been a former COTC “Reverend” who claimed that in the summer of 1989, a year previously, he arrived in the Otto, N.C. compound and was invited to Klassen’s basement rec room for a private showing of Leni Riefenstahl’ s Triumph of the Will. He was given drugged liquor and passed out. Witherspoon then claims he suddenly awoke on the floor, doubled up nude with sofa pillows under him, while Klassen was in the act of sodomizing him, with the movie still playing. Witherspoon jumped up and assaulted Klassen, beating him very badly and extorting a promise of money. Witherspoon claims he was given $10,000 in cash next day and a used car, with which he drove to Florida. The only comment Klassen ever makes about this incident is that Witherspoon was attempting to blackmail him. Florida police write off Witherspoon’s death as a drug-related killing, which may be correct.”
The details given here imply that Klassen was a suspect in this “murder” and was questioned about it, but you will find nothing about it in a Google News Archive search. “The Old Order Passeth,” an article written by Harold Covington under the pen name Luther Williams, which Covington sent out to readers of his Resistance newsletter in the 1990s, has 1987, not 1989, as the date of the alleged anal rape: obviously, dates can be flexible in a story that was never based on fact anyway. According to Will Williams there was never a Dennis Witherspoon in the COTC.
For absolute verification, an inquiry was sent to the Miami-Dade Police Department:
“Is there any record of a Dennis Witherspoon being found dead in rural Dade County? The claim is that he had been shot several times in the head with a .22-caliber revolver. This is alleged to have happened on 12 October 1990.”
On 2 September 2010 Major Rey Valdes of the homicide bureau gave this response:
“Thank you for your recent email requesting information related to the death of Dennis Witherspoon, which occurred in Miami-Dade County, on October 12, 1990. We have researched our records and were unable to locate a homicide case involving Mr. Witherspoon, or matching the description you provided. In abundance of caution, we also contacted the Medical Examiner Department, with similar results.”
This means that they could find neither any record of a homicide involving a Dennis Witherspoon, nor any killing of a similar description on or about the specified date.
Major Valdes says that further information, if anybody has any, or further inquiries about the alleged Witherspoon homicide (which evidently never occurred) should be directed to Sergeant Miguel Tabernero of the Homicide Bureau, Miami-Dade Police Department.
The examples given above are typical of the stories that Harold Covington invented about Ben Klassen and the Church of the Creator in 1989-1993, and to this day he insists that these stories are true!
So I challenge you, Chechar, to ask Covington if he still stands by the Dennis Witherspoon and Barry Edwards murder stories with which he has been smearing the name of Ben Klassen for several decades now. As of last year, Covington still stood by those stories, insofar as he swore that there was no mistake in the Brief History except that it said that Bradley Smith had passed away.
I should point out again, more clearly: I do not say that Covington is not “sane.” The psychiatrists also do not say that he is not sane. They say that he has a personality disorder.

There are about 7 million children in North America currently diagnosed with a non-existent biomedical entity. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a disease invented to drug away the rebellious child or the one who doesn’t pay attention in repressive schools.
Similarly, there have been literally millions of adolescents or young adults who only have “personality disorders” in the minds of their parents, brothers of the shrinks hired by them.
The clinical experience I referred to above were the dozens of cases I encountered where X, Y, or Z family conflict is often “resolved” by hiring a professional and degrading the unemployed family member with a psychiatric diagnosis (e.g., by medicating the woman who wants to divorce in an extremely religious family). Of course, there’s no science involved in such psychiatric procedures, only political actions.
What I have observed is that often the children of such families are much saner than the adults who resorted to the shrink in the first place. This is what I suspect happened in the Covington family. Remember that we are talking about, literally, millions of such cases.
There are many books exposing this scandal and even an entire academic journal by physicians and PhDs, Ethical Human Psychiatry and Psychology, which I subscribed for some time.
The claim that Covington had a “personality disorder” originated, IIRC, in an interview of one of his brothers published in no other place that the… SPLC. I find it amazing that so-called “nationalists” use this source! Speaking about the Jews and their dirty way of making dirt stick on other people!
The SPLC source is an interview with Harold Covington’s own brother. It is reliable not because it comes from the contemptible SPLC but because it is from his own brother who as much as anyone has a vested interest in defending HAC and telling the truth. You must have missed what I wrote here about the political use of psychiatry. Here we go again.
There are literally millions of perfectly sane people psychiatrically diagnosed only because the victim of the label is either a child or an unemployed adult incapable of hiring another shrink to counter the claim. While I don’t have enough data on the Covington family, I suspect that the case is similar to many other cases I have encountered in my experience.
In other words, a psychiatric label stamped on a family member on behalf of the family could only mean that the parents or a brother “hired an attorney” (a psychiatrist) while the unemployed child could not afford another to counter the pseudoscientific diagnosis.
The last case I investigated: a married woman from a very wealthy family in Monterrey, Mexico, was committed by her family because of an affair with a rock musician. For this Opus Dei family this sort of behavior is just mental illness and has to be “treated” accordingly. You would not believe how widespread this political use of psychiatry has become in modern times, even in the US.
By the way, Covington’s brother does seem to hate white nationalism. He doesn’t seem to feel any love for his ethnic group. I never read SPLC sources, but IIRC he didn’t even married and has no kids.

I knew my Covington post would bring out this kind of feuding. About which, I have two observations.
First, because I explicitly stated that people I respect in the movement had voiced similar strong views against Covington, I was going to separate the man from the message. Thus, I liked what “Chechar” wrote: “Covington’s literary art (as well as Pierce’s) might prove to be pivotal in the creation of a new nation within the Americas.” I quoted O’Meara for the same reason.
Second–or maybe this is a restatement of the above–I wanted to share thoughts on works of fiction, not talk about Covington the individual. Yet so few of the comments here are about the fiction–and what potential that fiction has.
Folks, I’m an academic and I understood every word of KMAC’s ground-breaking work “Culture of Critique.” I’ve sent numerous copies of it to people I thought could handle it. Silence. I’ve read my Frank Salter but accept that it would be even less popular with a wider audience. I loved Lindemann’s “Esau’s Tears” and felt John Murray Cuddihy’s “The Ordeal of Civility” was sublime. But we are no longer in the era of serious reading.
I’ll assume most of you follow TOQ the journal, TOQ online, TOO, and perhaps Tom Sunic and/or James Edwards. The message in many cases–and I think Alex Kurtagic makes it best–is that the measured, reasonable, analytic style (which is all I personally know how to do) is only going to work with a small subset of people. Music, for example, trumps non-fiction in setting a fire in the hearts of people. I’ll never forget one winter listening while cross-country skiing to Tom Sunic interview TOO write Lasha Darkmoon (or was it Penelope Thornton) on the incredible subconscious impact of music! As a result, I’ve had to force myself to move away from my own training in order to aid the movement.
Toward this end–music–I’ve also been impressed by how Covington weaves in three music segments every week in his broadcasts. His choices seem excellent to me, reaching deep into my White soul in ways little modern American music does today. His message AND music RESONATE with me. Maybe they will with others. That’s why I’m promoting his work.
Finally, let me say that it does seem unfortunate that Covington does not respect Pierce. I am a careful reader of what Pierce had to write, and I’m very well versed in his two novels. They are to be recommended, but one must be realistic about the truly incendiary nature of both books, so I don’t feel comfortable writing openly about them.
Bottom line: We’re in a bad spot as Whites and we’re going to have to see if we can finally start getting along. The endgame could be near. I mean, we’ve been robbed blind right out in the open (again, we at TOO have done a fantastic job of documenting this), our industries are gone, we’re swamped with unchecked immigration, the Middle East is being rearranged, etc. etc. Hell, law abiding White men can’t even hold a legal conference in this country any longer.
We might have to make some choices we don’t like and work with people we would rather not, but it’s our only hope. This is our big test.

I’m a young guy myself and I can tell you with 100% certainty that young people aren’t attracted to long, well-written essays or articles. They are attracted to music and videos. The attention span of a teenager or young adult these days is very short, we’ve been dumbed down as as society. Jews did this.
If we want any sort of success in attracting more young people and not people over the age of 30, we need to produce videos and music that promote our cause. Not the dysgenic, violent, and stupid music from the “White Power” scene in the 1990s. Forget about Rahowa, Skrewdriver, and all that junk. We need to create beautiful, positive, and INSPIRING videos and music.

You didn’t listen very carefully. I’ve written reviews of a few of Covington’s podcasts and for the most part his message is crap. It’s all about how nothing can possibly work until that Northwest Republic gets established, because the US Government is out to get you and will be omnipotent until that day. This translates into defeatism and fear. Sometimes Covington explicitly preaches fear, as on the podcast of 10 February, wherein he argues that one should avoid activities like leafleting that would give the police an excuse to find out who you are and put your name on a list.
Very often, toward the end of a podcast, Covington will insert a potshot at one of his old personal smear targets. This is often in the vein of his preaching about character, which, if you know anything about Covington, is completely laughable. Usually whatever behavior Covington condemns is something of which he himself is egregiously culpable.
Covington likes to spin murky conspiracy theories wherein he himself is the target. In his current podcast he refers to some government software that facilitates managing multiple personae on internet. I have already documented that even without the benefit of such software (or so I assume) Covington has been notorious for precisely this, yet he has the nerve to suggest that he is the victim of it.

I’ve read all of Harold Covington’s novels. They’re easy-to-read stories with a message. I listen to his radio broadcasts and he comes across as ok. But he may have done something in the past to arouse so much venom in others. I don’t know. His critics make him out to be an evil white guy, crazy, deluded, off his rocker, etc. etc.. I respect Edmund Connelly and also Greg Johnson as excellent writers in their own right and men of sincere goodwill towards whites. It s regrettable that HAC has caused such disruption and division. It is not the critics of HAC that cause the division it is HAC’s practice of slandering others, and the tolerance shown to this slanderer, in the name of unity blah blah blah. Show me a real successful political movement or party that tolerates its own accomplished leaders being slandered by a paranoid schizophrenic on the sidelines. You can’t show it because no party or movement like that would be successful. Success demands some discipline and some discretion about whose works you promote. The person is not totally separable from the message. That is the key misunderstanding here underlying this promotion of HAC’s fiction.

It’s annoying how these HAC discussions degenerate. These discussions generally break down into two factions, but in my judgment there needs to be a third:
1) Anti-HAC people constitutionally unable to grasp the difference between the author who has produced exceptionally good work and his personal life.
2) Pro-HAC people who won’t acknowledge that whatever the quality of his arguments and his writings few serious people will ever work with HAC in the real world. The man has stepped on too many toes.

I should point out that I have in fact NO DESIRE to work with the majority of the existing Movement’s so-called “serious people”, so that part of it is moot. This, of course, may be a large part of what generates all the sound and fury. I am to a large degree starting over from scratch, trying to draw converts to the Northwest idea from the growing disillusioned and disenfranchised White community as a whole, rather than falling back on the same old faces from the 80s and 90s National Alliance, Dukesters, etc. who now run a lot of the VBulletin boards and the pseudo-intellectual blogs, etc. Some of these “old-timers” apparently feel left out.
You have to bear in mind that once all the scripted crap posted under REAL sock puppet IDs is eliminated, the bulk of the cyber-hissy fit one sees about me all over the internet comes from only four or five specific, identifiable Induhviduals and one unidentifiable one whom I suspect, rightly or wrongly, to be someone operating on a hidden agenda. Four, five, or even six trolls hardly constitute a community-wide consensus, but the internet allows them to appear larger and more formidable than they are, rather like a blowfish inflating itself to look large and spikey.
For example, while there is legitimate personal disagreement with the Northwest concept by some of the posters here in this comments section, all of the really hysterical personal abuse comes only from two and a half men, the same GUBU crew who have made their appearance on many other blogs. Much as I like the idea of the Pacific Northwest redoubt, I just do not see how it can come to pass. Every nice place we have created gets overrun with non whites and jews taking advantage of the good things we create. As soon as the word gets out about the intentional movement of whites, others will follow and parasitically enter the area. Some of it facilitated by opportunistic whites, too.

Covington has written books of lasting value. I think that people who are concerned with our race’s future should read them. Those will weigh heavily against any toes stepped on during his lifetime.

I’m not talking about Covingtons Accusations. I don’t care if he lied about them or not. Whatever it takes to get rid of them is justifiable. They’re loser scumbags, every last one.
While raised in a time and place very similar to Harold Covington’s childhood home, I settled in the Northwest because of it’s natural beauty. As the years passed, I realized that part of that natural beauty was attributable to the area’s white demographics.
In 2006 I began to give periodic public presentations on racially related topics. After a few years, I had a large number of enemies and very few friends. One of my primary social resources is now derived from people whose interest has been stimulated by their reading of the Northwest Quartet.
It’s no big deal. We don’t crawl around in the woods wearing camouflage fatigues. We’re just friends. We share books, and go to each other’s birthday parties, and occasionally have dinner together.
It’s small, but it means a lot to me, and I wouldn’t have it if it weren’t for the books reviewed in this article, and their emphasis on physical community building among white nationalists in the Northwest.
These things are no less true because of the presence or absence of flaws in Harold Covington’s personality. If nothing else, his personality quirks give us material for gossip and speculation. It’s obvious that many on this thread would derive satisfaction by joining us to give this conversation a physical dimension.

There is a lot of material about Covington’s sexual history, treatment of ex-wives, etc., and I don’t use it, because personal interactions like that are private and usually more complicated than any outsider can appreciate.
Covington’s problems are not limited to his personal life. Covington’s problems are PRIMARILY in the way he conducts himself publicly.
So don’t pretend that this is a matter of digging up some obscure dirt. It’s a matter of quoting Covington’s own public statements. I only got into the matter of paranoid personality disorder as a tangent to the fact that Covington claims conspiracies against himself.
If you want to criticize Dr. Pierce’s public statements or methods that’s fine with me.

Good points all around. Sites like this one appeal to academically inclined writers and a certain type of academically inclined lay person. Most of the people who read here are history, philosophy, sociology, theory and activism junkies. The White people we need to persuade will never care about these things, at least not at the TOO level of detail, but everybody likes a good story — and this is why Covington’s work is important. There are very few people in the world who don’t like picking up a good book every once in a while which means that the same White people who will never bother to read KMDs peer-level work might just reach The Brigade one day.
People need to keep in mind that because Harold Covington’s medium is fiction, his potential audience is anyone who enjoys fiction — which is pretty much everyone.
Greg Johnson is right. A lot of people are not taking the long view here. It was in either Mother Night or Slaughterhouse Five that Kurt Vonnegut wrote that history judges people by what they leave behind. It seems to me that on this basis alone Covington deserves at least a measure of support, because he is one of the few American WNists who has actually produced work for history to judge.
Your point about the importance of video is also well taken. This is why in my opinion it might be worth it for Covington, Kurtagic and every other WNist author with fiction writing talent to adapt their books into a screenplay format. The opportunity to make a WNist movie doesn’t currently exist, but that might change and hopefully will change in the future. All WNist fiction should be viewed potential source material for an up and coming young WNist director who understands how to tell a story using pictures.
I’ve had several suggestions to try and take at least The Brigade to screenplay, but not much point in doing that while there isn’t a hope in hell of it ever being made into a movie.

People ask why I do not put together some kind of definitive statement or document answering all these bizarre allegation and weirded-out flights of fancy. I used to attempt to respond to them, many years ago when I was younger, but I discovered that it simply doesn’t do any good. The nature of the attacks themselves and the people who are propagating them are not such that any of this is susceptible to reason, factual analysis, or indeed anything going on in the real world.
It has been suggested that I write my memoirs. I have not done so thus far, for a number of reasons, but largely because my life and my career are not over yet and one shouldn’t begin telling a story until one knows how it ends. If I ever do get to a good “stopping point”–highly unlikely, but if I ever do–I may write such a memoir, complete and factual and tell-all. nothing held back. One recommendation I’d like to make, is that the Northwest novels could be made available in an e-book format such as .epub. This might facilitate wider distribution to the kindle/smart-device crowd, as e-books are easier to read than PDFs on such widespread devices. There are programs available for converting PDFs to e-books, although the resulting e-book might need a little cleaning up as the characters don’t always convert properly. Converting from the original source might yield higher fidelity. This might also take away from e-book sales at Amazon and B&N, so there’s that practical consideration as well. I converted The Brigade to an e-book and read it with Stanza on my phone; it worked great! The novel itself is brilliant with insight. I agree with commenters elsewhere that the theater scene from Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds (sic) was ripped off from the Oscar scene in Covington’s book.

Greg, a lawsuit is a search for truth using time-tested procedures, rules of evidence and sworn testimony between the parties, who are subject to prosecution for perjury when said parties tell stories that are proven to be false. Covington and his activities just happen to be at issue here if for no other reason than the fact that Covington included personal attacks in his novels.
My only mistake here has been that I thought some deluded Covington supporters were probably sockpuppets. It’s hard for me to understand or sympathize with people who knowingly embrace and ENDORSE backstabbing slanderers like Covington.
It raises questions about the character of the people involved, and I prefer to think that there are fewer rather than more morally defective people in the WN ranks.
Maybe YOU would like to ask Mr. Covington if he will back off from any of his old smears (e.g. the Witherspoon and Edwards murders), previously mentioned, which have I have conclusively debunked. Covington surely has seen my question on the matter but has been conspicuously silent.

I understand your position, Ed. You’re obviously a gentleman, and I hope you won’t take my criticism of your support of HAC too personally. You are smart to stay out of my fight with him. I didn’t really expect you to answer my pointed questions to you about character and ACTION and fighting, and the other inspiration you seem to draw from HAC’s escapist stories. I read The March Up Country 25 years ago, but I’ve never read read any of HAC’s other books because I came to know the man who writes those stories and I don’t like what he has done to good men I’ve known over the years with his boundless smear campaigns against them. Harold came down to central Oregon around Thanksgiving. He was traveling with a small entourage from Washington. Six or eight people from the local area met with them and we spent several hours talking about a variety of subjects. I remain in contact with several of the people I met there. We communicate by phone and email and meet on an individual basis once or twice per month.
Sunday there will be a birthday party, and I hope to see a good showing of nationalists there. We have been discussing a leafleting project. As the weather gets warmer, this will be more likely. Some of the people I’ve met are also participating in other groups, and I enjoy learning about those groups as well.
Celtic music is a minor theme in our group, and I have begun to play the bagpipes. I’ve spoken to another guy who plays the drums and we’ve discussed the possibility of doing some street music, but lately he’s been working on the fishing boats and we haven’t had any time to practice yet.
The only other drummers I’ve seen around here lately are Antifa, and I haven’t broached the subject with them yet, so I’ll probably take an impromptu approach. The next time I see them beating their drums, I’m going to see if I can segue in on the pipes.
You’d never guess it from his podcasts, but Harold claims to be getting short of wind, and doesn’t play the pipes anymore. It’s hard to argue with him when his energy is so well spent in writing.

Back to reality: writing is an excellent medium to spread our message. I agree with other posters that full-length movies are ideal, and have superior propaganda value, but we’re aware that Hollywood is hostile territory.

Interestingly, these sites tend to start experiencing other problems, DOS attacks, harassment and problems with their host, so forth and so on. One has to ask not only at what point paranoia begins, but at what point paranoia becomes a genuine pattern of events that warrants serious scrutiny and conjecture as to cause and effect.

In case you are interested, my research shows that Covington’s account of Rocjwell’s death and Koehl’s succession is false. Koehl actually was publicly known as the deputy commander before Rockwell’s death. It had been mentioned in a small newspaper item.

It seems absurd on its face to suggest that Harold Covington’s novels, however entertaining they may be, are some key to success for the White race. The storm of accusations and counter-accusations, excommunications
and anathemas, that has raged over Harold Covington and his various

What’s done is done, however, and, now that things have come this, in
my humble observation the central issue has been this:

While I must say that I was surprised by Will Williams’s assertion that Covington has
said that Williams was involved in the Oklahoma City bombing affair, I
was even more surprised that Williams’s accusation has all but been ignored
by the various commentators here. So, did Covington say that? Was he right?
If so, where did he get his information?
It’s one thing to lambaste one’s rivals publicly for actual flaws; to brand them
as turncoats and traitors without evidence can only remind alert white nationalists
of COINTELPRO tactics employed by the FBI back in the sixties and seventies.
I haven’t read any of the Northwest Quartet, but, given the discussion here, reviews
elsewhere, and Covington’s own comments, its artistic qualities don’t seem easily separable from its function as a call to arms, if not as an actual blueprint. Thus anyone
desirous of using the Quartet as anything more than a springboard to joining
the white nationalist equivalent of a fantasy baseball league will need to consider
very carefully Harold Covington’s character and behavior.

Yes. I've read your blog many times, and I've been remiss in not thanking you for the very valuable contribution you have made to our people and our cause by providing us with information necessary to assess Mr. Covington's life and work from 360 degrees.

Well, it looks like some people will never stop accusing HAC of bad behavior. Even if HAC did some things in the past he’s not proud of, he did write a series of books which have been and continue to be influential in the white nationalist world. I never met HAC so I cannot comment on the charges leveled against him. Neither do I, or most people, have the time to investigate these charges. I haven’t met the people who are continuously criticizing HAC so I can’t really form a first-hand opinion about them either. I read the books and liked them. They conjured up an interesting ‘what if’ scenario. A ‘what if’ scenario is not reality, but it can be the start of something. To the critics of HAC I ask; what do you seek to accomplish? Is your goal to have nobody ever read the books because HAC’s reputation is destroyed? This article was about separating the man from his work, or, the work from the man. Your continued criticism of HAC, which may be credible, has by the end of this thread devolved into the likes of a witch hunt. You think Covington’s “not proud” of something? I have not seen any sign of regret, especially since the man still periodically injects his old personal attacks into his podcasts.
“A Brief History of the White Nationalist Movement” repeats many of Covington’s old smears. Covington began mass-emailing that cornucopia of his own traditional smears in 2007 and endorses its content even today. Read about it on my blog.
But they won’t just move on, Mike. They have not yet accomplished their objective of causing the moderator to throw up his hands in despair and disgust, and shut down the thread, or better yet pull the whole article because of the “controversy” it generates. I agree with those who say that it would be nice if the content of the books could actually get discussed here. I think the stuff about Covington’s background is not irrelevant and I am glad it has been raised, but at the same time the ideas he promotes (secession, militarily confronting the government) have a pretty wide following among WNs and need to be addressed on their own terms.
Personally, I’d like to see WNs focus a lot less on “guns and farmland” type thinking and more on strategies that actually have a chance of working and that address the real problems we face, but that is not going to happen by discussing various lies that Covington has (apparently) told about people in the past.

Gregor is absolutely right. Our grandparents lived in a completely white dominated society, and it wasn’t because they went around yelling “white power!” or “get the blacks!” or because they were politically active. That’s just the way people had always lived in Western culture.
I HATE the sound of an excuse being made, even my own, but were were the first generation of whites in a thousand years (in the West, anyway) to NOT inherit a completely white dominated society.

Yes, that’s right. We took it for granted and never ever imagined a majority non-white America. Covington’s plan assumes the number of staunch nationalists (especially females) to be orders of magnitude greater than it is. He assumes the government would not act, but look at what happened to the Hutterites . They were banned from buying land in Canada and then when the moved into Dakota banned there as well.
Immersing oneself in Covington’s escapist dreamworld, as Edward Connelly enjoys doing, is pretty harmless only if you can avoid thinking it’s more than lurid nonsense. If an intellectually credible organization like TOO takes Covington seriously ( and gives certain agencies a wedge to take down that organisation) it shows that someone has started to lose contact with reality. Para military strategies are totally ineffective, anyone who implies otherwise is a liability.

Also, and I think I’ve figured out more by crusing the net and seeing things on the street than it would be wise to tell you about, in my view there are most definately people fairly high in the federal civil serivce who are NOT on board with the genocide of whites, are beginning to quitely do something about it and who I think will suceed.

Having now read your posts over at AltRight, I still can’t say I agree with your assessment of Roberts and his current position. I just don’t see him as having gone soft on immigration (he certainly hasn’t softened his stance on the evils of Israel and its fifth column over here). I believe that he simply thinks that America’s endless wars, all for Israel’s benefit, are the foremost matter of concern today. Were I compelled to make my own choice, I might find it hard to disagree.
I couldn’t quite make out what your point, if any, was in re Brenda Walker. If you were deploring what she thinks and writes, however, you’ll get no argument from me. She and Malkin are my own top picks for expulsion from VDARE. They are both probably on AIPAC’s payroll.
I’m not sure Chechar’s analogy between Covington’s Northwestern Quartet and Wagner’s Ring Cycle works. Unlike Wagner, Covington summons whites to specific political goals and actions (winning a white homeland in the Northwest) that he has expounded on at length and detail in his fiction (on winning a white homeland in the Northwest).
So far as I can tell from Covington’s appeals, connoisseurs of the Quartet, above all, should be flocking to his blue, white, and green banner. Their saying that his character and behavior don’t matter (as so many of his defenders have done here) may help to explain why so few of them are doing so.

That is a per quod libel that Covington published after he had already been sued for libel and lost. Although it doesn’t name Will Williams there are enough details to make the identity of “special agent James Finchley” abundantly clear. I think this is why Covington was found in contempt of court and had to leave North Carolina.

Camillus, I am listening to what you are saying about character flaws. But I also believe that even if you recognize the character flaws of the creators—I also read Paul Johnson’s Intellectuals—you can recognize too that the Tetralogy and the Quartet are somehow analogous. Both depict epics that galvanize the self-consciousness of German and American nationalists respectively.
When Wagner directed his music dramas at Bayreuth he was a sort of a cult-like figure among nationalist Germans. But even aggressive dissidents of the cult such as Nietzsche wrote in high terms of Wagner’s music after he was no longer on speaking terms with the Wagner family.
I am dismayed that most critics of Covington in this thread don’t have Nietzsche’s humility.

Aren’t all of us supposed to use this time to attack the Enemy? I’ll be absolutely frank on this issue. I don’t like HAC’s “A Brief History of the WN Movement” precisely because of the in-fights in that pamphlet. Before the ethnostate I wouldn’t even bother (like HAC does) if a nationalist is homo or not—just as Hitler didn’t bother about that problem before his Reich was firmly established.

Anyone interested in actually reading Richard Wagner’s famous/notorious essay “Das Judentum in der Musik”—as opposed, that is, to taking the word of the ill-informed and uninformed about its contents—should hunt for a collection of Wagner’s stories and essays assembled and edited almost forty years ago by a then justly acclaimed music critic and biographer called Charles Osborne. Copies of the book, whether bound in cloth or paper (ISBNs: 978-0912050430 [cloth]; 978-0812691467 [paper]), are very widely available for five bucks or less, inclusive of shipping charges (the paperback edition is much newer, having been published in the early 1990s).
Osborne’s collection, being the only modern one that doesn’t make use of the truly dreadful and distorting Ashton Ellis translation of the essay (Osborne did his own translation, and I think it is not to be found elsewhere), ought to be the target of choice for anyone interested in Wagner’s insights into how Jews listen to, react to, and compose music and how they influence (and yes, do harm to) the listening, reacting, and composing of the host population’s culture. In the usual vaporous fashion, Osborne prefaces the essay with predictable comments anent its vileness, obscenity, hatefulness, etc., etc., but talk is cheap and armchair criticism cheaper still, whereas an honest translation of an important and controversial essay is cheap at any price.
It needs to be said that anyone expecting to find in the seventeen-page essay the equivalent of a kill-’em-all rant will be sorry he ever put down his copy of How to Locate a WN Dentist in ZOG America to pick this book up. The Tribe’s 150-year-long propaganda blitz notwithstanding, Wagner was not a fool nor a monster nor a demented, solipsistic egotist (characteristics that far more readily call to mind such men as the Fox, the Weasel, and thousands more of their ilk). Yes, Wagner used and abused people—as often as not to bed someone else’s wife—but he was generous to as many as he was abusive, and those he was generous to included Jews. Are we really to imagine that a knee-jerk flame-throwing Jew hater would number three prominent Jewish musicians among his pallbearers? (Indeed, for this very reason hard-core WNs might realistically consider Wagner a bad choice for hero status in their movement!)
In his analytic intelligence, his synthetic dramaturgical and musical gifts, and his powers of observation, Wagner was neither surpassed nor even equaled in the nineteenth century. He also had an almost unimaginable capacity for hard work—not excluding the very hard work of playing the sycophant when he couldn’t get sought-for material support in any other way. These were the qualities that drew intellectuals, musicians, literary and other artists, critics, and scholars to him in his own time. The Judentum essay gives one a good taste, in particular, of Wagner’s capacity for observing the contemporary scene in clear-eyed if not always circumspect fashion.
His artistic creations, like those of most true artists, were caviar to the general both then and, even more so, now. (Indeed, I am uncertain whether his oeuvre is more endangered by his enemies or by his soi-disant fans.) For this reason alone, Wagner is almost as inappropriate a standard-bearer for the WN movement as he was for National Socialism. He is one of the figures at the apex of Western Christian artistic achievement, but it is in the very nature of summits that the great mass of men can’t ever get to them.
Wagner believed in racial equality and was a vegetarian. He was really more of a far leftist.

Well, Jimmy, you are avoiding the issue, which is what effect Covington’s “Northwest Mythos” promoted with IRA terrorist footage is going to have on people trying to get by under the current system — which is something that we all have to do!
To say that we have to get the independent state and that only then can we do anything — which is a constant theme with Covington — is a slightly more modest version of saying that step one is to become Master of the Universe so that then you can solve your other problems more easily. Establish an independent state first? Why didn’t we think of that! If you’re referring to implicitly white communities, my initial response stands:
We already tried that. It was called America.
If you’re referring to explicitly white communities, they are illegal, and you will be in a de facto state of war with US government the minute you try to establish one.
2) You seem to feel that the NW plan is “completely unrealistic, unless the United States Government has already collapsed of its own accord.”
I think such a collapse is a distinct possibility, and the geographical consolidation of WN interests is a good way for us to anticipate and prepare for it.
Jimmy Marr there are still implicitly White communities all over the USA. There is no particular reason to go to the Northwest. You knew that at one time Covington was advocating the Carolinas as the White Homeland, right? That’s before he was found in contempt of court and had to leave.
There are ways to preserve relative ethnic homogeneity in communities, which we have not been using. We need to cooperate more so as to make our continued existence as a people possible under the current system. That is a realistic way of thinking.

To repeat, these accusations smack of some of the FBI’s COINTELPRO shenanigans. And, of course, in a guerrilla movement such as Covington depicts in his novels (and seems to advocate otherwise), calling persons turncoats and traitors comes close to demanding their executions.

I think this could be an excellent exercise, provided the terms of reference are properly composed. I think the debate rules should include:
1. An agreed assumption the existing “System” (post World War II settlement in Dr. K’s phrasing) is designed to prevent white self-determination. And therefore a radical departure from the framework of the present political economy is necessary.
On this basis the debate is then over the best ways and means of regaining white self-determination. And if the debate this way, then there’s a vast gulf between HAC and me.
On the other hand, if the debate sides are defined as “white independence” versus some form Republican Conservatism working inside the existing system, then I’m clearly far closer to HAC than to Judeo-Republican Kahnservantives.
I don’t think “NW Migration” versus a “Gramscian Strategy” is a fair test of “white independence” because it’s too narrow. It posits NW Migration as the only possible alternative. HAC of course would like to define it that way, but most people will recognize that numerous other alternatives either exist or can be developed.
2. Martin Lindstedt should also be excluded. No justification is necessary. In general the entire thread should be moderated by you without respect to persons.
3. If Hadding and Will Williams participate, they must either confine themselves to rationally discussing the merits of prospective future methodologies or they should remain silent. Further extended arguments by these two that their past movement failures were nobler than HAC’s past movement failures will not contribute anything.

Your idea to host a debate at CC is a good one with a lot of potential upside. I do think your set parameters need to be stronger than “just no personal attacks,” however, though obviously none should be allowed. In such a debate there is likely to be very pitched and strident disagreement among the participants. Hence, the tone and quality of the discussion will have the potential to deteriorate very quickly and degrade the value of the discussion without anyone exchanging a single personal attack.
My suggestion would be that all participants should be required to pay extremely close attention to the tone of their responses, as well as the content, before hitting the Post button. My hope would be for a vigorous but collegial debate. Even with the very pitched disagreement, there is no reason the debate cannot be collegial among people who are essentially on the same side but disagree over particulars.
It is plain to see that the last real white leader who stood up, was Robert Matthews RIP. As many think what to do, maybe a Viking Death isn’t for them. There’s an aspect to Internet debate that inherently hamstrings revolutionary positions and coddles conservatism. The revolutionary position can never be legally articulated in cyberspace.
This, to me, is the crux of the argument for the development of physical community. It’s the only venue that will ever afford us the privacy we need to hold a full spectrum debate.
Obviously, ZOG can and does infiltrate physical communities, but it’s a zillion times more expensive for them to do so. When our success is partially contingent on waiting for the system to collapse under its own weight, forcing ZOG to put on additional weight shifts the battle in our favor.
It doesn’t matter if we are debating women’s fashion trends, or the price of tea in China, ZOG will never let our privacy and freedom of association go unviolated. No ‘ad hominems’, eh? That’s one hell of a condition to impose, coming from, arguably, the king of ‘ad hominem’. I know you have stated that character doesn’t matter, Greg, but Covington constantly talks and writes about the need for good character. He has always attacked his opponents’ character rather than answering his opponents’ arguments. That’s pretty much the accepted definition of an ‘ad hominem’ attack as he uses it, right?
I asked him here if he planned to testify against me in a ZOG court when he sued me for libel in 1989. That was in response to what he wrote here just a day or so: that Mr. Miller forfeited any right to be part of the Movement for his alleged testimony against his own people in a trial. He cruised the Internet, posting racist messages to computer bulletin boards and newsgroups, making contacts with neo-Nazis and nationalist extremists the world over. He infiltrated the inner councils of almost every top hate group in the United States and even in Europe. He even filed a libel suit against another White supremacist who claimed he was an FBI informant.
But he was.
Last month FBI Special Agent James R. Finchley, a decorated Vietnam veteran and “one of the best and bravest men ever to graduate out of Quantico” according to a former instructor at the world-famous FBI academy who knew him and trained him, came in from the cold at last, after successfully carrying out the longest-running deep-cover infiltration of any criminal or terrorist underworld in the history of American law enforcement.
Finchley’s fourteen years in the White racist underground produced only a handful of actual prosecutions, but “that wasn’t his primary mission,” according to the former director of the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit at Quantico, Kenneth M. Lanning. “He was there to listen and learn, and the wealth of information he obtained for us is beyond price.”
“It is not too much to say that we now know virtually everything there is to know about organized race hatred in this country. These guys [White supremacist activists and leaders] couldn’t go to the can without us knowing about it,” Lanning said.
FBI Director Louis Freeh was not available for comment, but U. S. Attorney General Janet Reno told a reporter, “We usually do not make any public statement on covert operations of this nature until all criminal cases associated with an investigation have been brought to a conclusion, but I will say that Special Agent Finchley displayed uncommon courage, resourcefulness, and initiative in a very complex and often dangerous situation.”
Finchley’s cover was so deep he is reported to have actually married one woman who was involved in a White supremacist group he wanted to penetrate. On that occasion he went to St. Petersburg, Russia to meet and bring to America a Russian woman who was to be the “mail order bride” of a nationally known White supremacist leader who was banned from entering the country because of his views.
Finchley was so taken with the woman that he persuaded her to marry him instead, allegedly in order to keep her out of the clutches of the racist leader. Soon afterwards he and his Russian wife amicably divorced and Agent Finchley arranged for her to get a green card and relocate to Florida.
Justice Department sources are close-mouthed about many of the details of Finchley’s fourteen-year odyssey into the murky underworld of racism and hate. “There are still some loose ends to be tied up, and once this gets out there are going to be some very angry White supremacists out there,” said a spokesman for the Department.
The source refused to say whether Agent Finchley had been moved into the Witness Protection Program or what measures were being taken to prevent retaliation by Finchley’s former comrades in the racist movement.
Possibly the most bizarre event of Finchley’s long- running undercover operation was when he was accused of having been involved in the Oklahoma City bombing as “John Doe Number Two” by the editor of a racist newsletter who had long suspected Finchley of being a Federal agent. Finchley took an absolutely unprecedented step: he sued the editor for libel and obtained a 110,000 default judgment when the defendant didn’t show up in court to try the case.
“I don’t know if he’s been successful in collecting any of the money the judge awarded him,” said Lanning.

I am not a Northwest Front member and I don’t know or speak with Covington. I got him some Emails once.
I have also read your article quite some time ago. Apparently we are to believe that Covington used his own email to spread a fake story about you.
In addition to this your key witness in that story is a would be child molester.
In addition to both of the above said child toucher somehow traced the IP back to Covington. Sure he did. Did he write a gui interface in visual basic to trace the IP? (CSI reference ridiculing computer incompetent people, youtube it).
This seems to be the theme within all these claims against Covington. Some guy no one has ever heard of allegedly makes a phone call or traces an IP and finds out bad stuff about Covington but never provides any actual recordings of said phone calls or paperwork or what have you.

Before I would be willing to dignify any proposition that Covington puts forth in his novels etc., I want a clarification of where Covington stands on all the divisive libels that he has been propagating for decades, of which I have mentioned a few. Covington himself filed a libel suit against Ben Klassen, Will Williams, and the Church of the Creator in 1989, seven years before Will Williams filed one against him. Covington ended up abandoning his suit, most likely because he had no case.

You have there Covington’s letter of 2 March 1989 to Ben Klassen demanding a retraction and apology for The Anatomy of a Hypocrite, which is mainly about Covington’s hyocrital religious posturing and had been published earlier in 1989, and the first page of the civil complaint that Covington filed with the “ZOG court,” and finally a letter from Covington to Judge James Downs saying that he has decided that the suit is not worth the trouble. Covington had no compunction about making use of a “ZOG court” in 1989, did he? (I notice recently that Covington-supporter Martin Lindstedt also has no qualms about using “ZOG courts,” since he has announced that he is suing some of his own detractors.)
It’s about $200,000 that Covington owes Will Williams now.
If Covington had been just a bit sensible it never would have come to this. If he had just shut up about Will Williams in 1998 instead of continuing the libels, he could have avoided contempt of court and still be living in his home state of North Carolina.
Mr. Jimmy Marr how do you justify that behavior? Are you going to say that Covington’s libels were true? Surely since you say that you have perused my blog many times you must know that the probability of this is about zero.
And what can you say about the judgment of a man who behaves this way? Does he have the kind of judgment that deserves followers?
The best solution would be if Covington could be located and served the appropriate papers so that an arrangement could be made for him to work off his debt to Will Williams — which I am sure Will Williams would put to good use — and then we could all be working together instead of against each other.
Will I think would even let Covington live in a shed on his property while he works off the debt, if he really is destitute. At least I suggested that and he didn’t seem opposed to it.

According to Klassen, Covington was working against him and the Church of the Creator before “The Anatomy of a Hypocrite” was published.
In the 1990s Covington entered a phase of smearing almost everybody that led any kind of racial organization.
Actually what they say is that Covington tried to start a “Ban the Church of the Creator” movement.
They claim that he called several organizations across several states but fail to mention any names.

Mr. Covington was involved up to his neck with those C18 thugs, even was well-known to be their American contact address when he was in Raleigh, NC. Mr. Covington loves collecting the addresses of people from our side, which fits the accusation some, including Tyndall and Dr. Pierce, have made of him as being a “verifier” for the other side. He’s always asking for folks’ addresses.

Let John Tyndall’s words be a warning. If you want hard copies of Covington’s fantasy novels, they are available at Amazon.com and they won’t give your email or home address to this nut who can then verify that you like his escapist stories. Metzger says that Covington also contacted him offering his services as a maildrop after Metzger was sued by the SPLC. Metzger rejected the offer precisely because he thought Covington really just wanted to get the names and addresses.
I am not sure that this is really evidence that Covington is a “verifier” though. Dr. Pierce himself didn’t exactly make that accusation although he observed that Covington had seriously damaged COTC with his rumormongering. I see the quest for mailing and email addresses as part of Covington’s aggressive self-promotion. He gets email addresses so that he can spam them.
And I would like to point out that he asked for emails at the nwfront forums and I happily scanned quite a few for him. I think something like 500.

Preparations are now being made for a moderated, lunacy-free debate on the Northwest Imperative in which I will answer questions and discuss points which have been raised by some of the LEGITIMATE White Nationalist posters in this thread and elsewhere.
This may actually turn out to be something of a historic event–the first time that the internet has been used effectively by White Nationalism for the purpose for which it is best suited, by guaranteeing a sane and civil environment where measured thought and calm, rational discussion between adults can finally take place, free of the screaming and cackling of the madhouse.
I believe that if such a lunacy-free environment can be achieved and maintained, so that we don’t have to shout at one another over all the noise as if we were trying to communicate with one another in the middle of a monkey house in a zoo, then we might indeed approach something on the level of a consensus of White Nationalist thought, and establish once and for all that the Northwest is the only realistic option open to the White man.

What I envision is something like a VBulletin thread or even a blog’s comments section like this, but unlike VNN or here, a PRODUCTIVE one, where lunatics and trolls are denied admittance and posts which violate the TOD (terms of discussion) or which wander off topic are stopped before they appear so they can’t clutter up the thread with rambling digressive bullshit that has nothing to do with the existential threat facing White civilization.
It’s deeply unfortunate that a situation like this exists within the Movement (or whatever you want to call “this thing of ours”) where we simply aren’t mature enough to handle genuine free speech, but there it is. If the internet is ever going to be anything other than a toy or a place where people like “Hadding Scott” and Willard go to vomit, then the fact is that certain people who have nothing to say have to be kept out.
It could be done very simply: we could start with a blog post of say, The Fundamental Principles of Northwest Migration, and then proceed from there in the comments section. Or we could use a whole dedicated blog. I have several old ones I’m not using that might be useful for the purpose. (Boy, won’t that get the Goat Dancing conspiracy theorists leaping and cavorting and whirling like dervishes again!)
The key to the success of the discussion would be the absolute enforcement of two ironclad rules:
Rule One) No AD HOMINEM ATTACKs and no irrelevancy. Ideas are to be discussed, not personalities. This rule will also apply to digression into an endless post mortem of the 1980s and 1990s Movement, which I’m rather surprised some people want to engage in since their own pet gurus and Great White Leaders would come out of it so poorly, but there it is.
2) The banning of any participation by Frazier Glenn Miller. He is no longer a legitimate part of our community, he is not and will never be rehabilitated, his expulsion from our ranks is permanent and lifelong, and he has nothing to say.
I personally don’t find these rules to be excessively onerous. Now, to find a “respectable” (in our sense) moderator who agrees with me.
Failing that, I can do it unilaterally, cutting and pasting the saner anti-Northwest posts from this and some of the previous Goat Dances, and dealing with them on a special web site. I will do if I can’t get any takers, but I’d rather have a proper debate. We will be re-opening Northwestrepublic.com soon and of course it could be done there. But this would obviously lack the same cachet as if I could get someone “respectable” (again, pardon the expression) to hold the mouse, so to speak.
The thing is that I need to take on the Northwest Migration’s serious and compos mentis critics and deal with their objections, but that’s a lot less effective if I can’t get them to participate in the discussion directly.

That’s true but it’s an absolute certainty that Covington is attracting infiltrators because of the nature of his message. I expect to see news footage of Jimmy Marr being led away in handcuffs if he keeps on the way he’s going.
People like Covington are the cats paws of government agencies, the proof of that is he is free. The deadliest enemies of white nations love those nationalists who endlessly ramble about their pet para military strategy. They killed me too. Those who are skeptical of the Quartet’s message cannot understand that the whole point is not whether reality will exactly follow Covington’s script, but as Hatfield said shaking his head at the beginning of The Brigade: “It’s not even about them, Charlie, not in the final analysis. It’s about us. About whether we’re men or dogs.”
