This article was originally posted on my website on November 19, 2007, before TOO came into existence. Coming before the 2008 election, it required a bit of updating, but I thought it an appropriate follow-up to Sterling Cooper’s review of Ann Coulter’s Mugged.
Ann Coulter probably wishes she had never said “We just want Jews to be perfected” on the Donny Deutsch show. The ADL was first in line to trace such ideas to a theological tradition that is anathema to Jews—the idea that the New Testament supersedes the Old.
But the best defense is a good offense, so Coulter apparently decided that she understands Jewish interests better than even the ADL. Maybe she’s right, but I don’t think she really understands how Jewish organizations like the ADL think about America.
Ann Coulter asks “How Long Before the A.D.L. Kicks Out All its Jews?” Her point is that the ADL is a leftist activist organization that is dangerous for Jews—dangerous because the left is “increasingly dominated by people conniving in the destruction of Israel.” The ADL also opposes public manifestations of Christianity but is in favor of appeasing Muslims in the U.S. by using the Koran to swear in public officials. It also promotes other leftist causes that she imagines are bad for Jews: gun control, gay marriage, illegal immigration — “You know, all the issues that have historically kept the Jews safe.”
Oddly, while she goes after the ADL for condemning critics of Muslim immigration, she can’t bring herself to oppose legal immigration in general. I suppose that even a “conservative” like Ann Coulter would not want to intimate that our present legal immigration policy is bad for anyone, much less Jews. Opposing legal immigration is so far beyond the mainstream that even Coulter can’t bring herself to condemn the ADL for being a major player on the pro-open borders lobby. Coulter seems to think that masses of illegals, mainly Mexicans, are bad for Jews, but there’s no problem importing masses of Africans and Asians as long as they aren’t Muslim.
But if all these peoples are to be allowed to immigrate (legally, of course) en masse to the United States, how does Coulter think that the Christian culture that she seems to think is so desirable can be maintained? Why just go after Muslims? The common sense of it is that our open borders immigration policy puts the entire culture in play. If Christianity is to have any special place at all, it will have to fight for it, and, given the demographic trends, its long term prospects aren’t good.
The fact is that Coulter has found a safe neocon niche that manages to condemn the Muslims without raising any really basic questions on the direction of our culture. She was a prime participant in David Horowitz’s pro-Israel inspired Islamo-fascism Awareness Week. While devoting his life to ethnic activism on behalf of Israel, Horowitz clearly draws the line at European-Americans having any sense of their own ethnic identity and interests. Obviously, that’s a line that Coulter is quite unwilling to cross as well.
But the deeper issue is whether Coulter is right that a rational understanding of Jewish interests would make them foursquare Republicans: “The survival of Israel is inextricably linked to the survival of the Republican Party and its evangelical base.” But the Israel Lobby is entirely bipartisan, and even if they wanted to, presidents since Eisenhower who have tried to influence Israel policy against the wishes of the lobby have been uniformly unsuccessful.
If the first Clinton Administration is any indication, the survival of Israel certainly does not depend on a Republican president. Bill Clinton’s Middle East policy positions were staffed by a long list of activists closely linked to the Israel Lobby, including Dennis Ross of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and former AIPAC official Martin Indyk. Indeed, during the Netanyahu years of Likud rule (1996-1999), “the American government seemed sometimes to be working for the Israeli Prime Minister as it tried to convince (and pressure) the Palestinian side to accept Israeli offers.”
Hillary Clinton, the Democrat frontrunner, is a close second among all presidential candidates in support for Israel—trailing only Rudy Giuliani who has recruited a “who’s-who” list of neocon pro-Israel, anti-Iran hawks, including Norman Podhoretz, author of World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism.
[Note, 10/21/2012: Coulter's argument is perhaps improved by the tensions between the Obama administration and Israel over a war with Iran. But, as Stephen Walt has pointed out, demanding that the U.S. go to war with Iran is a "one hell of a big ask"; it is not at all clear that a post-G. W. Bush Republican administration would have acceded to these demands. Indeed, it appears now that Mitt Romney is scaling back his strategy of bellicosity on Iran because such a war is unpopular with voters, essentially agreeing with Obama.
A senior Republican strategist close to the campaign said Romney was groping for a "version 2.0" of the foreign policy of the Bush era, but one that would more resemble President Reagan's in the Cold War. It would seek to assert American leadership and values with a powerful military and bold rhetoric, but "with a more cautious view of where and when we use force." The imperative is to avoid "the mistakes and miscalculations of the last decade. ... The Bush foreign policy is a terrible brand."
Adam Horowitz of Mondoweiss recently noted, "If both Obama and Romney's policy towards Israel are essentially the same, hasn't the lobby won out in the end?"
George W. Bush has become persona non grata among Republicans, and Romney desperately wants to avoid the implication that his administration would follow in his Republican predecessor's footsteps. Instead it appears that Romney will attempt to find a foreign policy edge by stressing things like Obama's failure to talk with Netanyahu at the UN General Assembly in September and especially the Obama administration's failings in the Benghazi terrorist incident.
Of course, all bets are off after the election, when all that pro-Israel campaign money will come home to roost and the Israel Lobby and the Israeli government will pull out all the stops in their efforts to destroy Iran. Philip Giraldi has argued that Israel has demanded a guarantee that the U.S. attack Iran after the election in return for Israel not attacking before the election; and Sheldon Adelson would be most unhappy with Romney if all that money was for naught.]
Are the evangelicals really all that important? It’s remarkable how little influence evangelical Christians have in any other area of public life. They can’t seem to stem the de-Christianization that Coulter bewails; but then why should anyone believe that they are essential to U.S. support for Israel? As Mearsheimer and Walt show, the evangelicals, although certainly useful to the lobby, have far less impact than other parts of the lobby.
Coulter notes that “the ADL is more concerned with what it calls the ‘neo-Nazis’ and ‘anti-Semites’ in the Minutemen organization than with people who behead Jews whenever they get half a chance. It’s only a matter of time before the ADL gets around to global warming.” What’s odd about this is that Coulter seems to think that the ADL’s concern about opposition to open borders is just another mindless irrational liberal exercise and as much a Jewish issue as global warming. But the reality is that Jews have always seen an ethnically and culturally homogeneous America as threatening to Jews. This is the subtext of the The Culture of Critique. As her neocon compatriot Elliott Abrams acknowledges, the mainstream Jewish community “clings to what is at bottom a dark vision of America, as a land permeated with anti-Semitism and always on the verge of anti-Semitic outbursts.” As Lawrence Auster notes ”as crazy as it sounds, there is something many American Jews fear more in their heart of hearts than Muslim anti-Semitism, and that’s white Christian anti-Semitism.” Abrams notes that Jews have taken the lead in secularizing America because of this fear. (My own interpretation is that it has at least as much do with aggressiveness; see also here). Jewish organizations were also the main force on behalf of the 1965 immigration law that put an end to the idea that America had any ethnic basis.
Nevertheless, besides Coulter and Horowtiz, it is certainly true that a growing chorus of Jewish voices have begun to argue that Muslim immigration is bad for Jews. Stephen Steinlight certainly stands out in this regard, stating, for example, “Privately [American Jewish leaders] express grave concern that unregulated immigration will prove ruinous to American Jewry, as it has for French Jewry, and will for Jews throughout Western Europe. There’s particular fear about the impact on Jewish security, as well as American support for Israel, of the rapid growth of the Muslim population. At the conclusion of meetings with national leaders, several told me, ‘You’re 1000 percent right, but I can’t go out and say it yet.’”
In fact, Steinlight even argues that massive immigration in general is bad for Jews: “Massive immigration will obliterate Jewish power by shrinking our percentage of the population — to a fraction of 1% in 20 years.”
Similar warnings by Jews have also surfaced in Europe where, arguably, the situation is much worse for Jews because of the existence of relatively alienated, unassimilated Muslim populations. Jonathan Sacks, Britain’s chief rabbi, warns that multiculturalism “promotes segregation, stifles free speech and threatens liberal democracy.” Britain’s politics has been “poisoned by the rise of identity politics, as minorities and aggrieved groups jockeyed first for rights, then for special treatment. The process … began with Jews, before being taken up by blacks, women and gays. … [The effect has been] ‘inexorably divisive.’ ‘A culture of victimhood sets group against group, each claiming that its pain, injury, oppression, humiliation is greater than that of others.’”
But thus far, such warnings have fallen on deaf ears. I suspect that the ADL calculates that Muslim immigration has not impaired the power of the Israel Lobby and there is little reason to think that it will in the foreseeable future. In any case, Jewish attachment to a post-European America is a gut emotion that seems to go beyond rational calculation. As Steinlight notes:
The prospect of breaking with the old [pro-immigration] consensus is so wrenching many are effectively paralyzed by it, but it must concentrate their minds wonderfully to know that upholding it endangers the viability of the community whose protection is their raison d’être. They recognize they risk a harsh rebuke by history as those responsible for “losing America” — just as their predecessors have been pilloried for their failure to do more to save European Jewry in the years leading up to and during the Holocaust. American-Jewish leadership is experiencing profound vertigo as it seeks to chart a course through circumstances that appear logical only to a schizophrenic.
Facing the Future as a Minority
i don’t whether or not this analogy that I am about to share applies to Ann Coulter or not, but I’ll offer it up as a possibility.
An old and very close buddy of mine, who’s had a few marriages wind up in the tank, once told me that his first wife came home one day and unexpectedly announced that she was thinking about converting to judaism. His reaction was a combination of amusement, bafflement, and incredulity and he asked her what had lead to her entertaining these crazy ideas?
Well, according to my friend – her response tended to give him the impression that she had been influenced by watching a lot of TV, and the material she saw on TV had been able to persuade her that jews were really special little creatures and that she envied them for their specialness. Hence, the idea had formed in her head that she could inherit that same kind of ‘special status’ if she adopted judaism, too.
Leaving aside the well documented tendency on the part of jews who own and control the media to grossly misrepresent their own tribe’s true face and character and to falsely portray themselves as sweet and always innocent victims of undeserving gentile anger and hostility, I thought that this story from my old friend was a perfect illustration of how powerful of a brainwashing weapon the TV and Hollywood movies can be, when in the hands of a tribe of people who are as devious, conniving, and eager to subvert gentile societies as jews have shown themselves to be.
I also wonder if Ann Coulter was somehow affected by a similar dose of media brainwashing medicine and this is the reason why so many jewish guys have managed to carve their initials in her bedpost?
Could Annie be thinking that if she slept with enough of these guys, that she might become an honorary chosenite?
Perhaps Ms. Coulter shouldn’t have said that all she wanted was for Jews to be perfected. But, I find her comment, albeit offensive to Jews, less ridiculous than Christian leaders who pretend that the old covenant still remains. Either Christ fulfilled the old covenant and proclaimed a new one, or he didn’t. There can be no two ways about it.
It’s good to avoid giving offense, but it’s wrong to state or promote something that’s untrue to do it.

However, the pathologic narcissm I found at its core and its bigotry toward everyone not of the tribe that I discovered when studying it so turned me off that I decided that it was best for me to simpy remain an agnostic.

The notion that opposition to Zionist expansionism places Israel Proper at risk is demagoguery put out by neoconservatives who simply want a bigger Israel. So Ann Coulter should not be perplexed that some liberal Jews are not concerned with the matter. Actually, Greater Israel, with the increase in the number of the indigenous Palestinians that implies, could be more problematic for Israel. Coulter, if she really believes what she suggests, has bought into a non sequitur.

Ann Coulter is precisely what her culture raised her to be. She is not pro-white, I would be surprised if she so claimed. She is tall, slim, blond, smart and well-educated by the standards of the day. Not being a true egalitarian she is outraged that these qualities have not enabled her to rule the world. A nice, WASP girl from New Canaan, CT, knows very well indeed that we live under a new order, and it is not based on merit.
Some of us cope with this displacement by pretending it does not exist, some take to drink, others become bitter and hateful. Ann Coulter elected to get rich and famous by playing the same game as our masters. Her role is to claim that no matter how you frame the rules – we can still play AND beat you at game. As a Californian you may not be familiar with New Canaan. It was once a very beautiful, Christmas in Connecticut town. It was, in my childhood, filled with lovingly and expensively restored colonial farms and houses, all beautifully landscaped in forest settings. You could not visit without thinking of Frost and walls. Today, those houses have become tear-downs or pool houses for trashy Jewish McMansions. Anyone who loved what it was, a great example of Yankee Wasp folkart – the creation of lovely places to live – knows all about who is running the show. Not everyone uses our vocabulary.
Ms. Coulter is childless and thus has no stake in the future (beyond the immediate future which will remain cushy as long as she stays on the good side of Jews).
After the revelations about the stream of men she has dated, and her on-air attempts to portray herself as a believing Christian, I wonder how she “proselytized” them – on her back or on her knees?
She also had an interesting thing to say about her dad’s Catholicism in her obituary of him – she likened his faith to a vice. She was apparently proud that her mom was able to reform her father of his drinking and smoking, but not his Catholicism. Unlike mom, Ann’s special brand of proselytizing has apparently cured Dinesh D’Souza of his Catholicism for he now identifies himself as an evangelical.

None of them, cover to cover. Skimmed one of her books at the library. Read excerpts of most of her books contained in reviews. I agree with some of her opinions.
Saw her once on a Canadian news show where she swore up and down that Canada (ie, Cda’s government) sent troops to Viet Nam. She would not take correction from the Canadian host. She said HE was wrong, that Canada did take part in the VietNam war, aiding the Americans. This turned me off Ann Coulter and causes me to see her as a blowhard. Someone less full of herself would have said, ‘Oh, I’m so sorry, I was wrong!’ and then without skipping a beat would have continued to press her original point about how Canada used to be a good friend of the USA etc.
Saw a video of her on The View (what a horrible program) where she tried to make short work of Whoopie Goldberg. I wish she had succeeded. Maybe it was edited to make her look bad, I don’t know.
I’d rather read Pat Buchanan’s books, which are more intelligent.
Her appeals (and those of others, eg Taylor) are incredibly naive. The vast majority of Jews have a fear and loathing of the white gentile host that blinds them to long term threats. There will be delicious schadenfreude on my part when they have to deal with Muslim and Hispanic populations that won’t be crippled by pangs of morality in dealing with the remaining Jewish minority.

Annie Oakley is playing a game. She was good friends with the late Joe Sobran, Holocaust Denier. She knows that the price of kosher conservatism is sucking up to Israel. @Felix: A distinction needs to be made between predatory, parasitic, aggressive and deliberately malicious behavior directed towards other races like that which emanates from the jewish self-worship of their own race, and the perfectly healthy sense of pride and an unapologetic sense of loyalty towards ones own racial group.
One can have a healthy sense of pride in their own people, and believe that it is perfectly acceptable – even essential – to place loyalty towards your tribe and concern for the legitimate ethnic specific interests of your tribe at the top of your list of priorities, without that necessarily including a desire to bring harm upon others belonging to competing tribes.
In the ideal world, each and every racial or ethnic group should respect each other racial or ethnic group’s right to wish to preserve themselves and to remain dominant and sovereign inside their native homelands. Paramount among these objectives is the desire to (a) secure the ability to control the future of your tribe, i.e., self-determination and to (b) eliminate the ability of competing racial or ethnic groups to exploit or subjugate your group to their domination and hostile rule.
In the case of jews, if their narcissism and hyperactive sense of racial pride were practiced and confined to their stolen piece of real estate in the Middle East, I doubt very many gentiles would be concerned about it. But, it isn’t. Their narcissism and ego-manical self-worship and attitudes of racial supremacy are spread throughout the White Western nations and it poses a deadly serious existential threat to the survival of White European people and to the continuation of White Western Civilization.

In fact, just the other day, I was driving around town and my thoughts drifted to this subject of how many White people I’ve known in my life over the years – some of them being pretty close friends at various junctures of my life, and how many of them eventually revealed to me that they were hollowed out inside – and they had been totally cleansed of any sense of racial pride, racial awareness, or even any racial survival instincts. I thought about a comment that I think Bud White of the old Free Talk Live podcasts on VNN once made where he asked the intriguing question: “Just how can someone’s racial survival instincts be turned off?”
That is precisely what the jews have somehow figured out how to do – not to all Whites, but to the vast majority of Whites. I am personally convinced that the amount of hours that White men and women spend in front of their TV has a great deal to do with this ‘deactivation of the white racial survival instinct’.
For those of us in the pro-White community who are either immune to this brainwashing, or who are smart enough to stop watching TV – I would bet that a survey would show a direct correlation between the strongest sense of white racial pride and awareness with the least amount of hours spent in front of the jew tube.

I think she’s in her fifties now. Even with the best facelift in the world, hair below the collar is an absolute no no for anyone past about 40. She has great legs however, and the legs are the last to go although mini skirts go in and out of style and she has worn them continuosly since grade school.

These political groups have no large number of members. They try to get attention by using extreme slogans. Many of them have lifes which are not so much interesting. So it gives a thrill to them, if they demonstrate together, that is the highlight of the week for them. Their other highlights are marihuana, cigarets and beer. Many of the members (but not the leaders) are young and they seek to find a group to which they can belong. They want to have the feeling of being a member of a group. Also you find young female members in this groups. This attracts young men to join and to “discuss” political things with the girls and maybe the “discussion” will lead to boy and girl coming together.
In Germany it is normal, that young people and many older also engage in a group, maybe political groups (that do not many) maybe in sport clubs (for example soccer), very many are for example in the “Freiwillige Feuerwehr” (hobby fire brigade). The groups give their members an additional new and greater family and new experience and they shield their members from the rough outside world. So Germany is build up by groups, and even these extreme political groups belong to the group system.
I personally, if I look in the faces of these “extreme leftits”, I see only young Germans, my brothers, and their political saying is only a superficial thing. This saying will be gone in some years, when they get older, but Germans they still will be. I like them just because they are Germans. Their political saying I do not take as real money.

My chain-of-thoughts about these people:
1. What is important: Many ten millions of poor people from Anatolia and Africa and their descendants coming to Europe, and this way destroying the white countries.
2. What is also important: The press tabooing this ongoing genocide for decades.
3. What is good: This people who bring the word “Genocide” into the public discussion. With their banners they demand genocide, but the effect in reality is, that they (partly) brake the wall of silence that the press did make for decades around this word. Indeed that is good for us. By demanding genocide, they make this word known and maybe this way unwillingly they help to fight against the real ongoing genocide. That is the way I see it.

In for a penny, in for a pound: He’s also separated from his wife and kids and taken up with another woman. There was a bit of a fuss made when he showed up for a speaking engagement with his new girlfriend and introduced her as his fiancée.
Perhaps we need to insult people like coulter less, and consider instead how to embolden them. I think the Wn-jewcrit folks overestimate the ignorance of “mainstream” whites in respect of the jewish problem, Average people of hihgher education and income tend to be plenty well aware of Jewish power, so much so that they arent going to be talking about it publically, and they are going to play stupid with nearly everyone outside their closest circles. So how to embolden these folks, how to convince them that rebellion against Jewish power is profitable? Because if you can’t get the average selfish American to see an angle, then “Fugheddaboudit,” he is too paying off his usury and working like a dog for overpriced goods like suburban living and college to bother with a Quixotic fued like criticizing jews.
