Introduction to Part 2:
Part 2 of “Jews in Jurisprudence” continues the glimpse into the mind of an important intellectual during the National Socialist period. One has to remember that this is a speech to a gathering sponsored by a high government official in a nation with a very well-defined official ideology. It is not a treatise with elaborate and well-supported arguments tempered by qualifications sensitive to differences among Jews. Rather than an attempt to persuade by the weight of logic and argumentation, it reflects a shared understanding in a highly politicized context. Within these limitations, the essay is an important insight into perceptions of Jews among elite German academics during the National Socialist period.
The general framework of Part 2 is that Germans and Jews are in conflict. Schmitt delineates what he sees as Jewish tactics in this conflict, describing the general Jewish stance vis-à-vis Germans as “parasitic, tactical and mercantile.” Jews are attracted to substantial works by Germans but use them in an adversarial manner against Germans—”We must not give credit for this [i.e., for being attracted to substantial works by Germans] — only to warn us to switch on our inhibitions.” He portrays Jews as not interested in truth but only in using words to persuade, wearing masks of deception and quickly adapting their masks to new contexts—comments that fit well with the emphasis of contemporary social scientists on deception and self-deception as central components of human behavior. Schmitt advises his audience to attend to Hitler’s comments in Mein Kampf on Jewish dialectics, presumably including the following:
..I found it extremely difficult myself to be a match for the dialectical perfidy of that race. How futile it was to try to win over such people with argument, seeing that their very mouths distorted the truth, disowning the very words they had just used and adopting them again a few moments afterwards to serve their own ends in the argument! …
I realized that the Jew uses language for the purpose of dissimulating his thought or at least veiling it, so that his real aim cannot be discovered by what he says but rather by reading between the lines. This knowledge was the occasion of the greatest inner revolution that I had yet experienced. From being a soft-hearted cosmopolitan I became an out-and-out anti-Semite. Schmitt also asks why so many Germans were persuaded by Jews to adopt malicious ideologies such as Marxism. “How was it possible that thousands of decent and honest national comrades [Volksgenossen] could over decades succumb in such a way to the Jewish mind?” Schmitt does not really answer this question, but he emphasizes that Germans who succumb to Jewish ideas are essentially being used to serve Jewish interests—a proposal with a great deal of contemporary applicability.

The relationship of Jewish thinking to the German spirit is of the following kind: the Jew has a parasitic, tactical and mercantile relationship toward our own intellectual work. Through his mercantile skills he has often a keen sense of the authentic; with great ingenuity and quick flair he knows how to target the authentic. This is the instinct of a parasite and of a genuine tradesman. As little as this skill has been demonstrated by the Jews in the art of painting, Jewish art dealers can, nevertheless, faster tell a genuine Rembrandt than German art historians. Likewise, in the field of jurisprudence, this cannot be a proof that with his skills the Jew can very rapidly recognize good authors and good theories. The Jews quickly spot German substance and it is to this that they are attracted. We must not give them credit for this – only to warn us to switch on our inhibitions. It is simply due to the overall situation of the Jew, in his parasitic, tactical and mercantile relationship toward the German intellectual heritage. Even such a horrible, sinister mask swapping, which underlines the whole life of Stahl-Jolson should no longer distract us. Whenever it is ceaselessly emphasized that this person is “subjectively honest,” — as true as this may be — yet, I must add that we cannot glimpse into the soul of the Jews and that we have no access into the inner character of the Jews. We only know the discrepancy between our kinds. Whoever has grasped this truth — also knows what race is all about.
Furthermore, it is necessary to realize how differently the Jews have behaved at different stages of history. Heinrich Lange [NS German legal scholar, 1900–1977] has explicitly pointed to that in his excellent essays. The most significant turning points in Jewish behavior during the last century were the years 1815, 1830, 1848, 1871, 1890 — Bismarck’s dismissal, the beginning of the Wilhelminian era — 1918, 1933. It is, therefore, unacceptable to put on the same level a case of Jewish appearance on the scene in 1830 with that in 1930. Here again we have the Jew Stahl–Jolson, who still exerts influence on the denominational and ecclesiastical opposition against the National-Socialist state. It is completely false to portray him as an exemplary, conservative Jew in contrast to other belated Jews that could have unfortunately never become that. In this fact lies a dangerous failure to recognize the essential insight, i.e., that with every change in the overall situation, with each new period in history, and so quickly that we can only grasp it with utmost attention, a change occurs in the overall Jewish behavior, a mask swapping of demonic subtlety [von dämonischer Hintergründigkeit] where, by contrast, the issue regarding individually involved Jews, is fully irrelevant. Indeed, the great adaptability of the Jews has been carried to extremes over several thousand years of their history by specific racial characteristics whereby the virtuosity of mimicry has been even more fostered by long practice. We can see it, but we cannot comprehend it. However, we must not lose sight of the fact that there is Jewish virtuosity.
I repeat again and again the urgent plea to read every sentence on the Jewish question in Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf, and especially his comments on “Jewish dialectics.” What has been put forward at our meeting by experts in many scientific papers and in outstanding speeches is told in simple language to every national comrade [Volksgenosse] in a fully comprehensive manner. Do refer our law students always to those sentences by the Führer.
But beyond the Jewish problem let us not forget the German side of this question. For example, in a direct application of what Dr. Falk Ruttke said, we could mention the case of Karl Marx and the impact he had, as represented by the case of Friedrich Engels, or Bruno Bauer, or Ludwig Feuerbach, or perhaps even Hegel. Here lies a tragic problem. How was it possible that a German from Wuppertal, such as Engels, fell prey to the Jew Marx so completely? How was it possible that thousands of decent and honest national comrades [Volksgenossen] could over decades succumb in such a way to the Jewish mind? From where comes this non-resistance of many German men and from where comes weakness and the darkening of the German style at such a historical moment? The examination of this issue belongs to our scientific self-awareness as well as to the armor for the new struggle.
We have recognized all this in this workshop with greatest scientific clarity. Compared to the blindness and ignorance of earlier times, these are revolutionary insights. If equipped with it we can enter into the struggle whose new phase has begun. Let us not deceive ourselves about the seriousness of this struggle. The speeches at the Nuremberg Party Congress left no doubt about it. Judaism is, as the Führer notes in Mein Kampf, not only hostile to everything that is hostile to Jews; it is a mortal enemy of any real productivity of any other people. Its world power does not tolerate national productivity because otherwise its own kind of existence would be refuted. Jewish interest in the real productivity of other nations, the speed with which the Jewish artist or the intellectual merchant collide with the German artist, poet or scholar — and by means of giving him a pension or tenure [Rente] harness [einspannen] him for themselves — are not virtues and they are not qualities that should distract us from the essential. We are dealing with the Jews not for their own sake. What we are looking for and what we are fighting for is our own authentic nature and the unspoiled purity of our German people. “While resisting the Jew,” says our Führer, “I fight for the work of the Lord.”

Well, I was not educated in the Universities, but this speech is so easily understandable, to me at least, and supported by real life experience with Jews. And before that I never had read any anti-Jewish stuff either. So I know I was not programmed anti-Jewish. Once you’ve experienced the Jewish mind and life, you will know for yourself. The problem is always why some are fooled, and others are keenly aware of what is happening. You know it, you feel it, you can perceive it, but you can not put it into words.
Thank you for making these speeches public. Perhaps more of us will find a vocabulary and tell our stories in the future that will not be deemed anti-Semitic by the Jewish definition, but rather just experienced fact. Anti-Semitic is not an illness, as Jews infiltrate the field of Psychology and would like to make others belief. This injection into the News-Papers, Schools etc. is cyanide.
My definition of an Anti-Semite is someone who loves who he is, and likes to remain who he is, who loves his own kind, his race, his people, his color, his native land, his achievements and his life’s work, his gut-truth and honor, and refuses to be raped, exploited in mind, body and soul by foreigners, or bow and accept foreign attitudes, mind-sets and deceit which are destructive to our/my well being as a Person and Nation.
I am “not” a biblical Ruth, unless I was taken and forced unlawfully. There is no real victory thru deceit. Why can Jews or the US not get this?

Wow!! thank you Dr. Sunic, for a great article. When I was young I knew of Jews and had no opinion, but after being exposed and dealing with them, I knew instinctively the were bad for me. This article speaks directly to my experiences and how I feel about them. One should always trust ones instincts.

An excellent article, containing a great deal to be considered at length. There are a number of things to take away from these writings. However, I will only highlight one here, because I see it as a vital first step: the ability of people to precisely identify exactly who is a member of the subject class. I have been amazed since my ‘awakening’ some years ago, just how many of those persons who occupy the public stage and enjoy the privilege of helping to shape public opinion are members of the Chosen; but without ever making that fact known to the general public. I have challenged a few of my closest colleagues to sit and watch the various TV chanels and while doing so, use the internet to check the ethnic identity of those who look out of that box at us – they, and I, have been astounded at the gross overrepresentation of Chosen ones occupying the positions of journalists, newsreaders, talk-show hosts, talk-show guests, so-called ‘experts’ etc. Most people are blithely unaware that on any one night a team of guests will appear to debate the issues of the day on any one of a number of ‘current-affairs’ – infotainment shows. What most don’t realise is that on almost every panel of four or five ‘different’ guests on these TV panels, usually at least one will be of the Chosen, sometimes more. That can be as much as 20 to 40 percent of a discussion panel, and from a class of people who represent less than 2 percent of the population! . And, never a mention of identity! We need a Register!
Interesting stuff. But I would maintain that in principle you can distinguish between honesty and mimicry, even if you can’t always test it empirically. (That’s the problem wirh Stahl whom Schmitt obviously attacked as a mentor of Catholicism vis-a-vis German nationalism.)
One other interesting question is the exploiting of German ideas and scientifical findings by Jews. Schmitt, for example, became an important reference for Israeli constitutional jurisprudence (which was, at last, acknowledged by Taubes). And he may have had some influence on Walter Benjamin (which was systematically hidden by Adorno als editor of Benjamin’s works). But that was after 1945, and one would like to know something about Schmitt’s experience beforehand. On the whole, there are no clearcut rules what you may or may not do with other people’s ideas.

Paul Joesph Goebbels, Hitler’s propaganda minister, portrayed as ‘Jew hater’ – had in fact some interesting family connections with the Jews. Joesph Goebbels’ father, Fritz Goebbel, had a very dear Jewish friend, Dr. Josef Joseph, who acted as godfather for the young Goebbels. Paul Goebbels’ middle name may had been to honor his godfather. Goebbels’ favorite professor at Heidelberg was Friedrich Gundolf, who was Jewish. Goebbels’ long-time girlfriend, Else Janke, was daughter of a Jewish mother. Goebbels married Magda Quandt whose stepfather, Friedländer, was Jewish.
Until then – Goebbels had no anti-Semitic characteristics. However, things changed once Goebbel found out that Magda was having affair with a Jew named Victor Chaim Arlosoroff. Arlosoroff, subsequently became an important Zionist figure. After Hitler came to power, he was the Zionist representative in the negotiations with the new Nazi government that resulted in the Haavara (Transfer) agreement, whereby German Jews could emigrate to Palestine with their property. In June 1933 Arlosoroff was murdered in Tel Aviv by members of the Jabotinsky faction of the Zionist movement.

By the strict definition of the word, Jews are the world’s #1 anti-Semites. They are constantly embroiled in fights and struggles with other Semitic peoples. Jews are not the only Semites by the way, although they seem to want everyone to think that.

A timely article for me; Lately, I have been entertaining similar thoughts on the Jewish relationship to the philosophy, art, etc. of the host society. One thing in particular stood out to me from Schmitt’s lecture:

I would say that this statement could just as well be applied to the Jewish study of the Wester canon. I am thinking especially of the Straussian practice of the esoteric reading. It is not really the finding of esoteric meanings, but rather teasing and torturing out of Plato, Machiavelli, whoever, a statement that agrees with the philosophy the reader has already decided on a priori. The writers themselves only serve to add the luster of their greatness to the reader’s interpretation. That, and if a luminary enshrined in the Wester canon is brought out to defend something advantageous to Jewry, the Jewish reader can posture himself as a defender of Western Civilization and not the Tribe. This verbal agility could refashion any thinker into something entirely different than what they were. Thus we see that the Jew reading his own “esoteric” meanings into a text really has no concern for what the writer has to say, but only what he can be made to say.

I hear what you are saying. The word Anti-Semite has no emotional charge for me. If there is any charge attached to the word, you are correct, it is the hostile, angry and hatefull charge or tone that Jews carry toward all those who don’t go along or agree with them by their definition. The point is correct, as you said, it is “their emotional baggage and charge”, not mine. My definition was just to illustrate this point of absurdity. I love my own kind and I always will seek out other Germans here in the US. It’s great to be among your own who understand where you are coming from.
I’ve been called worse I suppose, shocking at first, but after a while you realize that there was no need for them to call me names, and that the hostility and hatred rests in their souls, and not in mine. I just want to protect what is mine, and so I give them their term or name-calling, it rolls off my back and I try to defuse it with my infused definition (previous post), and not theirs, with my self-respect in tact etc. I don’t argue with them in other words, nor give I credibility to them. ( Bullies) Immunize yourselfs, it works. Save your energies, but fight when you must. If they have credibility, then we gave it to them.

By the way Schmitt does not carry this hateful charge either in his speech when he refers to being an Anti-Semite. He is not hateful to Jews, but he perceives the Jews correctly, and realizes by doing so, he is being hated by them = Anti-Semite.
(just a thought, maybe Jews where feared for their cunning dishonesty, since one never knows where one stands from the academic, or our thinking German nature in progress, it might have appeared devastating. I once made a list of about 800 attorneys on the anti White side of the affirmative action lawsuits since 1970.
92 percent had obviously Jewish names. I didn’t count those maybe German maybe Jewish names like Becker, Kaufmann etc, so the percentage of Jews obtaining court orders to discriminate against Whites in employment may be even greater.

Jason/Ward – I think you have a point in saying the national-socialism/Hitler/Nazi theme is just a little too strong at the moment. But what is KM to do? The people writing the pieces are patriots who seek to contibute knowledge to the debate. Invariably their writing and attention to detail are in the top tier of articles.
The most effective way to restor balance while avoiding hostility to other patriots is to start writing articles yourself. This involves effort, and a level of ability, but certainly Jason has demonstrated he has the ability (quite possibly also Ward but I haven’t seen so many posts from him).
This is the way to go Jason. Don’t be frustrated…use the energy to write some pieces that describe your vision and your priorities.
I would do the same but there are other considerations. Another way to harm the site would be the appearance of too many sub-par articles. Not everyone has the talent/brains/education to communicate at a high standard. Just life.
But I have this to say about negativity toward authors, whether it be scathing criticism in the comments, or excessive rejection of the wisdom of certain stances.
It is always a key enemy strategy to demoralize authors. What happened to Lasha Darkmoon? She was slated for what was a good article about the girl run down by the Israeli tractor (I forget the girls name). Darkmoon wrote good articles that catered to a definition section of opinion that we need to be welcoming.
Then a couple of weeks back Tom Sunic was being slated in the comments. Accused of being an enemy agent or whatever.
Such comments cannot be avoided because there are always going to be people with such views, often well meaning patriotic people.
But two things must be learned by everyone else. For the authors: don’t be demoralized. It is tough…I think I would be pretty downhearted as well. But it has to be seen as an enemy strategy. Even if it isn’t being done by enemies here…eventually you’d come up against that. So it’s important not to be influenced and keep writing.
To commenters: if you think a comment is ill judged, don’t respond to it. Let it die right there. Also try not to let your own passions spill over into negativity. Always ask yourself “regardless of my motives, is it also true that the way I am behaving would make for a good enemy strategy?”
@Mickey Meadows: All fair points. Also, maybe TOO represents a portion of the “pro-White” community, not the totality of it, and I should remember that. It is what it is, and it may not be interested in developing what I think of as mainstream acceptance. It’s still very valuable, just from a different angle.
Most people I have known that were pro-White were great people, but they they were not” National Socialists” or even “White Nationalists”. They had nothing to do with survivalism . They were generally aware of Jewish influence, but opposing Jews was not their reason for existence – exposing and condemning Jews was not an end in itself.
So, the best thing for now is probably to develop multiple approaches on many fronts, as best we can. There aren’t that many of us, after all. Why aren’t you writing articles for TOO, by the way? I’d be interested in English attitudes on this whole mess. It seems to me the English would feel more empowered than Americans to defend their homeland from mass immigration. After all, we Americans “stole” our land, but yours has been yours for a very long time!
I’ve found little from Germany 1933-45 aiding my understanding of us/them dichotomies. The problem with
such commentary is not so much the professsed ad hoc ideology as the fact it comes from Germany. A great nation but far behind the centuries of evolution of freedom that is such a great heritage of our Anglo-American civilization,.
