Friday Gaza: “at least 44 of the 156 incidents where aid supplies were reported stolen or lost were “either directly or indirectly” due to Israeli military actions”

On Friday there was an extreme dearth of information on events. Grok says the Gaza Health Ministry has not issued a statement on the day (in fact, its English language website moh.gov.ps/portal/en/ appears blocked). Aljazeera‘s latest reports archive.is/hI6sW “sources at hospitals” saying at least 38 were killed by Israeli attacks today. A number of starvation deaths are also reported.

Reuters had an important scoop today archive.is/MmqTY USAID analysis found no evidence of massive Hamas theft of Gaza aid,
at least 44 of the 156 incidents where aid supplies were reported stolen or lost were “either directly or indirectly” due to Israeli military actions”
Washington has been sitting on this report since late June, obviously to avoid undercutting Israel’s line. The only US MSM outlet I see mentioning the story is CNN archive.is/fRLvd buried in what is otherwise a commendably thorough collection of Gaza stories.
The outlet YNET, reports archive.is/zlhMl ‘Famine? That’s simply not happening’ Israeli officials push back. (According to a 2018 study published by Oxford University Press, Ynet publishes articles and interviews at the instigation of the Israeli government, without declaring any connection with the government – these publications aim to stir up pro-Israeli sentiment [see here, p.35].)
Vociferous outrage continues to mount particularly in Europe, under-reported in the US MSM. Revolver surprisingly picked up a UK Guardian story archive.is/MA09T Israel trying to deflect blame for widespread starvation in Gaza. The Hill carries a report archive.is/i2nw2 of the Australian PM and others denouncing the famine:
“We call on Israel to comply immediately with its obligations under international law.”
The Economist has posted an editorial “The continuation of the war in Gaza disgraces Israel.”
“Donald Trump must force Mr Netanyahu to end the war, using all the clout America has as Israel’s ally. ”
Gaza has become hugely damaging to the reputation of the US.
The Times of Israel has a gung-ho story archive.is/7dt0V#selection-1311.87-1311.101 from a reporter embedded with a Israeli Tank unit, This mentions in passing
“…the IDF says it is methodically demolishing nearly every single structure in the areas it is operating in. Not just in Daraj, but in 75% of the Strip that the military is currently holding….with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly telling lawmakers in May that Israel is destroying homes in Gaza so Palestinians have no choice but to leave the Strip.”

Hamas rejected criticism from top U.S. officials after ceasefire talks with Israel broke down earlier in the week.
“We are appalled by the statements of U.S. President Trump and earlier by U.S. special envoy Witkoff, which contradict the mediators’ assessment of Hamas’ position and are inconsistent with the actual progress of negotiations that had been acknowledged by mediators, particularly Qatar and Egypt, as they expressed satisfaction and appreciation for our serious and constructive stance,” Izzat Al-Rishq, member of Hamas Movement’s Political Bureau, said in a statement.
