Muslim Think-Tank in Major Political Reassessment: “He Lost the Battle But Won the War”

The Ayaan Institute is a well-regarded Muslim London-based thinktank, frequently quoted by mainstream and Muslim news outlets. In a post on its X page, the organisation just gave this major reassessment of the impact of the BNP on British politics:

“Mainstream politics and media are now as far and extreme right as France and other European countries and the US.

“So, who is the most influential political leader of the last three decades? The answer is Nick Griffin former leader of the BNP. The reason is that today, across the political and media spectrum, it is his narrative that is echoed and his policies that are being proposed. He did not achieve personal political power; he lost the battle but won the war. Reform is the contemporary version of the BNP, but nearly all political parties are singing its tune. The language may be different, but the ideas and narratives on race, identity, Islam, and Muslims are the same. The difference among political parties is a matter of degree

“Don’t take our word for it; do the research. Compare the BNP manifesto of 2010 and the Mayoral manifesto of 2016. with what Reform, GB News, and other political parties are talking about and proposing. Linked below.

“It was Griffin who changed the BNP’s focus from race to Islam and Muslims, and the white nationalist right from street activism to electoral politics.

“The only real differences are that Griffin was opposed to Zionism and Israel, whilst today’s far and extreme right support Zionism and Israel. Griffin and the BNP were also anti-war in the Muslim world, whereas the main political parties of today are all pro-war imperialists.”
