USAID has pushed nearly half a billion dollars ($472.6m) through a secretive US government financed NGO, “Internews Network” (IN), which has “worked with” 4,291 media outlets, producing in one year 4,799 hours of broadcasts reaching up to 778 million people and “training” over 9000 journalists (2023 figures). IN has also supported social media censorship initiatives. The operation claims “offices” in over 30 countries, including main offices in US, London, Paris and regional HQs in Kiev, Bangkok and Nairobi. It is headed up by Jeanne Bourgault, who pays herself $451k a year. Bourgault worked out of the US embassy in Moscow during the early 1990s, where she was in charge of a $250m budget, and in other revolts or conflicts at critical times, before formally rotating out of six years at USAID to IN. Bourgault’s IN bio and those of its other key people and board members have been recently scrubbed from its website but remain accessible at archive.org. Records show the board being co-chaired by Democrat securocrat Richard J. Kessler and Simone Otus Coxe, wife of NVIDIA billionaire Trench Coxe, both major Democratic donors. In 2023, supported by Hillary Clinton, Bourgault launched a $10m IN fund at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). The IN page showing a picture of Bourgault at the CGI has also been deleted. IN has at least six captive subsidiaries under unrelated names including one based out of the Cayman Islands. Since 2008, when electronic records begin, more than 95% of IN’s budget has been supplied by the US government (thread follows)

Dru Wanklin is having another one of his whiny midlife crises and attacks of self-doubt. He now needs a lot of encouragement and sympathy: “The Gaily Wormer is your life project! More is simply not possible or intended for you! Accept that at last! That’s more than anyone else has achieved!”

The prevailing cold, distant and rational sign Aquarius is diametrically opposed to its sun sign Leo and is currently only providing him with little theatrical self-expression energies or even divine angelic visions sent directly from heaven. A dry spell is to be overcome with frugality, perseverance and renunciation.

Why does the world simply not understand how much “love” he has to give with his vulgar, primitive outbursts of hatred! In truth, he is quite different and longs to be stroked and comforted like a cuddly toy, a huge bald teddy bear that can’t even ruffle its hair because it has no fur.

No one knows the real, secret Dru in diapers with a pacifier in his mouth, sitting on a rocking horse, brandishing a plastic western pistol. A lullaby is all he wants after all he’s done for the world, is that too much to ask? He needs physical contact with his audience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow0lbyPkpnU

I knew Internews was a front for something spooky a decade ago, when I was desperately looking for work in Humboldt County and encountered them looking for a receptionist or something on Craigslist.

The office is tiny. The location is remote. But the organization is worldwide, immense, and expensive. It just don’t make sense. When you have that kind of money and need that kind of connectivity, you don’t locate in a corrupt little backwater known for marijuana cultivation and heavy drug abuse

(Unless you’re ex-CIA, that is. LOL.)

It seemed to me they were trying to avoifd attention and scrutiny. I’m a hardcore news maven, have been since I was a child, listening to foreign stations to hear all sides of the story. But I had never heard of Internews. I smelled a rat.

A ‘a secretive US government financed NGO’ sounds a lot like a dark money pool, e.g. the Tides Foundation, which takes donors’ money and funnels it anonymously to causes the donors would prefer not to be directly associated with — by the way, due to a recent change made during the first Trump administration, 501(c)(3) non-profits like Tides no longer have to itemize their donors on publicly accessible tax filings — they still have to provide this info to the IRS, but revealing it to the public is no longer legally required — it was actually interesting and useful to see where the money came from — Trump is the gift that keeps on giving.
