Japan sees big wins for far-right, anti-immigration party that denounced ‘Jewish capital’
Sanseito’s leader, Sohei Kamiya, has denied being antisemitic.
Japan’s far-right Sanseito party emerged triumphant in the country’s latest parliamentary election this week, signaling the rise of a nationalist, anti-immigrant movement with a history of decrying “Jewish capital.”
Sanseito, which flies a “Japanese First” banner explicitly inspired by President Donald Trump, gained 14 seats in the country’s upper house elections on Sunday — a leap from only one seat, held by leader Sohei Kamiya.
The upper house is less powerful than Japan’s lower house, where Sanseito has three seats. But the party’s upper house victories stripped a majority from the center-right Liberal Democratic Party, which has governed almost continuously since its formation in 1955, triggering calls for Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba to resign.
Sanseito was born only five years ago during the COVID pandemic, when Kamiya founded a YouTube channel and built a base of social media followers united by their disaffection with conventional political parties. The channel opposed public health measures such as mask mandates and vaccine requirements, and espoused conspiracy theories about global liberal elites who sought to weaken Japanese security and cultural purity.
Kamiya won Sanseito’s first upper house seat in 2022. During the campaign, he published a pamphlet that claimed Jewish financiers were profiting from inciting fears about COVID, saying that Sanseito would not “sell Japan out to Jewish capital.” About 1,000 Jews live in Japan, most of them immigrants and expatriates.
Kamyia has denied being antisemitic. According to Jewish journalist Jake Adelstein, he said at a press conference earlier this month, “I have Jewish friends and in fact, was a member of the Japan-Israel Friendship Society, which led online commentators to accuse me of being a puppet of the Jews.”
In this election, Sanseito campaigned on restricting immigration and foreign capital, bolstering defense and curbing gender equality and diversity policies. Kamiya has advocated for women to leave the workplace and focus on raising children.
Though Japan has a relatively low number of immigrants — only about 3% of the population — immigration has increased since the 1980s, when it opened up to migrant labor from across Asia and Latin America. More recently, the government has softened immigration laws to allow more workers into a country with an aging, shrinking population.
Nonetheless, local commentators say that Sanseito’s platform resonated with voters who are frustrated with Japan’s rising inflation and cost-of-living crisis. The party blamed immigrants for hoarding welfare benefits, depressing wages and worsening crime, claims boosted by a torrent of disinformation online.
Kamiya has more or less signaled his dislike for Joos. But what about black people? Is he in favor of Japanese women spreading for niggers? If so, I just can’t support him. We urgently need clarity on that issue.

Enemy name-calling from antisemitism to any “phobia” should not trigger defensiveness. Avoiding, disliking, hating, what have you is perfectly okay. Especially liars by commission or omission. He is a dogmatist against the idea of *any* genetic influences, which has earned him the rebuke of Eric Turkheimer, yet because of his proclivities, he compiles the arguments better than anybody.

I know that folks will rebut me by insisting that Sasha Gusev must have been a dogmatist like Jay Joseph, but as he explains early on, this is simply not true. In fact, the field of genetics has always had a great many people who believed in genetic determinism. However, I pricked up my ears when I heard two name mentioned in the video that I had never heard before, except that it must be a Jewish name. This is where it gets really interesting to do a little research. The gentleman’s name is Sidney (another “Baron”!) Bernstein, and he not only smuggled controversial gay propaganda into his films, such as in “Rope,” but also had Hitchcock film the infamous images in Bergen-Belsen, which, as revisionists know, do not show “murdered” individuals, but rather those who died of typhus. At the time, the “Allies” had not only reduced Germany to rubble, but also destroyed all supply routes.

As the second sweeping move made by the Allied Powers, the Nazi Party was banned. Anyone who was caught advocating the ideas of the Nazi Party would be sentenced to death. But there was so much more to Denazifying Germany than just putting the most obvious Nazis in internment camps and threatening the official structure of the party.
Hitler’s party had been in power for twelve years, and his ideology and symbols had been weaving their way through German culture for years before that. And seeing as the Nazis were utterly obsessed with branding, they’d put their signs and symbols all across the country.
So, the first step – and one of the things that has remained a facet of German law to this day – was completely outlawing the use of the Swastika in public life. But that was just the beginning. The US Army took the reins of the German media, suddenly 37 German newspapers and 6 radio stations. They also controlled 314 theaters, 642 cinemas, 101 magazines, and 237 book publishers.
And on top of that, almost 7,400 book dealers and printers were under their command. With this massive propaganda machine under its control, the US Army wanted to distribute pro-democracy, pro-US, and anti-Nazi material. They hoped to start pushing back on the years of Nazi media that had been reshaping German minds.
Ironically, in order to pursue their vision of complete denazification, the US Army employed some Nazi tactics [sic!]. Most infamously, they made a list of thousands of book titles that were deemed an ideological threat, advancing Nazi views throughout the nation. These books were confiscated and destroyed, not unlike the Nazi book burnings – a comparison that even the Military Directorate of the US admitted did have some grounds.
However, in the defense of the US, the books weren’t burned in a big, public ceremony. They were quietly pulped in large factories instead. But it didn’t stop there. The US didn’t want the Nazi ideology being memorialized, concerned that it could lead to a revival of old habits. So, they mandated that any museums devoted to Nazi ideas or soldiers be liquidated, and their exhibits either taken or destroyed.
The same was true for any art works that were seen to lionize or support Nazi ideals. This meant, in all likelihood, a lot of paintings of Hitler dressed like a Teutonic Knight ended up inside American military warehouses. There were also severe limitations placed on the kind of art people could make in this new Germany, too.
The Allied Forces also got to work on some serious redecorating. Swastikas were everywhere – etched into buildings, stamped onto official documents, hanging from flags and banners on nearly every street. It was a complicated job to travel through the entire country removing symbols and flags anywhere they found them.
All of this in an effort to remove the physical traces of the Nazis, who’d put in so much effort to remake Germany in their own image. But even this paled in comparison to their next task. They needed to remove any trace of Nazi support from the minds of the German populace.
This involved an extremely sophisticated and often harrowing psychological warfare operation against the people of Germany. The Allies wanted to create a powerful sense of “collective responsibility”and “collective guilt in the minds of the German public. The idea was to prevent everyday Germans from emotionally or morally distancing themselves from the Nazis’ most horrific crimes.
In the words of Sidney Bernstein, chief of Psychological Warfare Division, the intention was to, quote, “Shake and humiliate the Germans and prove to them beyond any possible challenge that these… crimes against humanity were committed and that the German people – and not just the Nazis and SS – bore responsibility.”
One way of doing this was the use of propaganda posters and pamphlets, distributed all over Germany by United States forces. The most famous of these was a poster depicting the corpses of concentration camp victims, dominated by a large headline text that read, “Diese Schandtaten: Eure Schuld!”, which is German for, “These atrocities: Your fault!”
Another one of these stunts was reported in a small German town by the English writer James Stern, who said: “[a] crowd is gathered around a series of photographs which, though initially seeming to depict garbage, instead reveal dead human bodies. Each photograph has a heading “WHO IS GUILTY?”… The placards are later replaced with clearer photographs and placards proclaiming “THIS TOWN IS GUILTY! YOU ARE GUILTY!”
But the posters depicting the most brutal crimes of the Nazi regime were still on the more mild end of US tactics in inducing a sense of collective guilt. For towns and villages closer to liberated concentration camps, the whole community would sometimes be taken out to the camps and made to see the bodies of their government’s victims. In some cases, they were even given shovels and made to help in digging up the mass graves where these people had been so thoughtlessly buried.
And for those who lived further away, the US government sometimes carted truckloads of corpses into town for public demonstrations, showing the people the inevitable end of these kinds of fascist regimes. Wehrmacht soldiers and civilians were also made to sit in on screenings where footage of concentration camp atrocities were played.
Many of the viewers broke down in tears under the weight of this terrible knowledge. None could ever hide from the awful things the Nazis had done. All of these methods were vital in quickly clearing out the visual evidence of the Nazi plague in Germany, and turning a lot of the public against them and their crimes. But what about the actual legal consequences for the people who really did directly contribute to the Nazis and their machine of evil? That, as it turns out, was its own other extremely complicated matter for the Allied forces.

On Kamiya, the fact that he would give the time of day to Adelstein, the worst kind of 外人, is a bad sign. Much better to watch someone with better _bona fides_ like T. Yamamoto of Reiwa Shinsengumi.
