Gaza Thursday: Israel is losing the US MSM over Palestinian starvation

July 24, 2025/3 Comments/in General/by Patrick Cleburne

News on Thursday’s events in Gaza is very difficult to find. The US MSM seems silent.
Turkey’s Anadolu Ajansı News Agency reports the Gaza Health Ministry said
“that 89 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 453 people were injured”
https://www.aa.com.tr/en/middle-east/gaza-death-t*oll-surges-to-over-59-500-as-israel-continues-genocidal-war-on-palestinians/3641216
Aljazeera in its closing wrap https://www.aljazeera.com/news/liveblog/2025/7/24/live-hamas-submits-gaza-truce-response-as-israel-continues-deadly-assault
says
*”The number of people killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza since this morning has climbed to 62, including at least 19 Palestinians who were attempting to collect desperately needed aid.”

There is no particular reason to lie here since Israel’s friends impose a presumption that all Muslim accounts are lies.
HOWEVER, Israel is losing the US MSM over Palestinian famine. Today the New York Times ran Gazans Are Dying of Starvation https://archive.is/eZ8Kp and the Washington Post Mass starvation stalks Gaza as deaths from hunger rise https://archive.is/tcfzr packed with appalling details.

A PR nightmare for Israel.

The Israelis have got themselves in a hole. Hamas is willing to be even more ruthless with their own people than is Israel. This is going to be tough to sell to the world.

“Hamas is willing to be even more ruthless with their own people than is Israel.”
This non-sequiter requires a little more explication.

Irish MSM are giving big daily coverage to the Gaza massacres/starvation. But the Govt still allows Israeli arms flights, is still Israel’s no. 2 export market and still hasn’t passed the very mild boycott of Israeli goods made in the West Bank. They’ll get around to it sometime in autumn.

There is lots of talk that if we criticise the Israelis too much, US firms will close their operations here and that will destroy us. If every US big pharma/ big tech firm here shut down, it would be the best thing ever!
