ZeroHedge: Iran Scrambling To Restore Bombed Missile Bunkers Within Hours After Being Struck

April 5, 2026/6 Comments/in General/by Kevin MacDonald

Iran Scrambling To Restore Bombed Missile Bunkers Within Hours After Being Struck

Iran’s resilience after more than a month of very heavy US-Israeli bombing has become obvious. The country’s somewhat ancient air force and navy have been largely obliterated, and yet all the while the Iranian military has kept up intense ballistic missile and drone strikes on Israel and Gulf states. Tehran’s missile arsenal is what is understood to have always been formidable.

And now US intelligence has freshly assessed that Iranian personnel are busy excavating bombed underground missile bunkers and silos and restoring them to operation within a mere hours of US and Israeli strikes.

The New York Times on Friday featured American intelligence analysis saying that Tehran has retained a substantial number of missiles and mobile launchers, raising serious doubts on how close Washington actually is to eliminating the Islamic Republic’s missile capability.

The report states that Washington cannot determine how many launchers have been destroyed because Iran has deployed decoys. Underground bunkers and silos may appear damaged, but launchers are rapidly recovered from rubble and returned to use through the quick work of excavators and heavy equipment.

Anna Kelly, a White House spokeswoman, has painted a rosy picture from the Pentagon’s point of view: “Here are the facts: Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks are down 90 percent, their navy is wiped out, two-thirds of their production facilities are damaged or destroyed, and the United States and Israel have overwhelming air dominance over Iran,” she said.

A senior Western official in the NY Times stated that Iran is firing approximately 15-30 ballistic missiles and 50-100 suicide drones per day across the region.

US officials additionally told the Times that Iran aims to preserve as much of its missile-launch capability as possible to sustain its threat posture throughout the conflict and after it ends.

Some of the remaining launchers are currently inaccessible, buried under rubble from repeated airstrikes, but there’s the expectation that Iran will race to dig them out. NYT further cites the following:

Haaretz, the Israeli publication, reported earlier that Iran had used bulldozers to dig out missile launchers that had been buried, or “corked,” in underground bunkers.

President Trump and US planners around him probably didn’t expect the Islamic Republic to put up as much of a fight as it’s still able to do this many weeks into Operation Epic Fury.

Iranian missiles have continued to wreak havoc across Israel especially, with citizens spending many hours each day huddled in shelters, especially in central Israel and Tel Aviv.

Anti-Zionist Jew Jay Shapiro wants to know whether “Professor” Jiang denies the Holocaust, which Jiang denies, though he adds that, based on his own research, he has found no convincing evidence of a genocide that was planned well in advance and carried out on an industrial scale.

Shapiro points out that striped prison uniforms and “gas chambers” are sufficient evidence, but admits that his ethnic community claims exclusive authority over interpreting who were the true and only victims of World War II, a claim he rejects.

Jiang’s video “Civilization #54: The German Will to Power” that, in the eyes of the censors, makes him a “Holocaust denier” is blocked in many countries outside the United States. And as if by magic, the reference to it has disappeared from his Wikipedia article as of today.

Mr. Shapiro does not appear “Jewish” in phenotype or demeanor, which makes him likable; perhaps he is half-Jewish or a quarter-Jewish. On his channel, he questions the “chosenness” of the Jews in numerous conversations, often in dialogue with a prominent Jew as his counterpart.

Muslims are not afraid to die and expect to go to Paradise if killed while defending the Way of Allah. This is a factor in their resilience.
The best summary of the case against the Holocaust is Peter Winter’s book, but it has its faults and several matters remain unaddressed convincingly by revisionists.

      Terry,
Don’t be so fast to wax poetic about Muslim “resilience.” It’s not as selfless as it looks.

Islam is designed as a warrior caste, like the Persian Empire’s 10,000 Immortals whose complement was immediately restored to ten thousand when its warriors were killed in battle by replacing them with fresh warriors.

Robert Hoyland of NYU in his paper: Were the Muslim Arab Conquerors of the Seventh-Century Middle East Colonialists?
relates the phenomenon of “garrison cities” which were cities recently conquered during a Muslim expansion that were utilized as military garrisons prepared for the assault on the next nearby town or city in the vicinity. The population of the garrison city was offered conversion. Those who refused were killed. Those who accepted were not then freed to enjoy their conversion. They were sent to the front lines to fight and “prove” the sincerity of their conversion, suggesting to this occidental observer that Islam like the Persian empire employs a warrior caste that “processes” warriors. The predatory imperial class be it priests like imams or warriors like the Persian emperors, “process” fresh warriors and think nothing of murdering their own dissidents by the tens of thousands to preserve their predatory class, though the Persian empire was more honest toward its Immortals than the Iranian imams are with the rewards they shower upon their warriors. The Persians showered their Immortals with gold necklaces which they wore in battle and allowed their women to travel behind them in caravans while Iran’s current imams promise them the same rewards in an after life to which they will not contribute and which, after all, may or may not exist, while the ruling class enjoys the fruits of the common superstitious warrior’s willing self-sacrifice.
President Trump’s frustration with the failure of the Islamic regime to surrender may be as much a manifestation its lack of empathy toward their own citizens as it is due to the resilience of the warriors they send to their deaths.

The question is whether Trump—who, as the “Jewish Messiah,”
is able to foresee the future—means his threat in the name of
Yahweh in an eschatological sense, or militarily, perhaps both.

It is surprising that the Germanic name for Ostern/Easter has survived only in German and English. Even the Dutch and Scandinavians have renamed it after the Jewish “Passover.”

The names of months used to be different as well. To this day, the days of the week are named after pagan deities (with exception of English “Saturday” from the Roman Saturn).
