Excerpts from President Vladimir Putin’s address to the Federal Assembly, Feb. 21, 2023

From Putin’s 2-hour speech, Feb. 21, 2023. “We are not at war with the people of Ukraine. I have made that clear many times. The people of Ukraine have become hostages of the Kiev regime and its Western handlers, who have in fact occupied that country in the political, military and economic sense and have been destroying Ukrainian industry for decades now as they plundered its natural resources. …

Responsibility for inciting and escalating the Ukraine conflict as well as the sheer number of casualties lies entirely with the Western elites and, of course, today’s Kiev regime, for which the Ukrainian people are, in fact, not its own people. The current Ukrainian regime is serving not national interests, but the interests of third countries….

The Western elite make no secret of their goal, which is, I quote, “Russia’s strategic defeat.” What does this mean to us? This means they plan to finish us once and for all. In other words, they plan to grow a local conflict into a global confrontation. This is how we understand it and we will respond accordingly, because this represents an existential threat to our country…

Look what they are doing to their own people. It is all about the destruction of the family, of cultural and national identity, perversion and abuse of children, including pedophilia, all of which are declared normal in their life. They are forcing the priests to bless same-sex marriages. Bless their hearts, let them do as they please. Here is what I would like to say in this regard. Adult people can do as they please. We in Russia have always seen it that way and always will: no one is going to intrude into other people’s private lives, and we are not going to do it, either. …

As I have already said, the West has opened not only military and informational warfare against us, but is also seeking to fight us on the economic front. However, they have not succeeded on any of these fronts, and never will. Moreover, those who initiated the sanctions are punishing themselves: they sent prices soaring in their own countries, destroyed jobs, forced companies to close, and caused an energy crisis, while telling their people that the Russians were to blame for all of this. We hear that….

We will continue working with our partners to create a sustainable, safe system of international settlements, which will be independent of the dollar and other Western reserve currencies that are bound to lose their universal appeal with this policy of the Western elite, the Western rulers. They are doing all this to themselves with their own hands. We are not the ones reducing transactions in dollars or other so-called universal currencies – they are doing everything with their own hands….

[Regarding Western sanctions on Russian oligarchs]: Trust me, not a single ordinary citizen in our country felt sorry for those who lost their assets in foreign banks, lost their yachts or palaces abroad, and so on. In their conversations around the kitchen table, people have all recalled the privatisation of the 1990s, when enterprises that had been built by our entire nation were sold for next to nothing and the so-called new elites flaunted their lavish lifestyle….

[Regarding ex-pat businessmen]: There is another option: to stay with your Motherland, to work for your compatriots, not only to open new businesses but also to change life around you in cities, towns and throughout your country. We have quite a few businesspeople like this, real fighters in our business community, and we associate the future of our business with them. Everyone must know that the sources of their prosperity and their future can only be here, in their native country Russia. …

Russia is an open country and at the same time, a distinct civilisation. There is no claim to exclusivity or superiority in this statement, but this civilisation of ours – that’s what matters. Our ancestors passed it to us and we must preserve it for our descendants and pass it on to them….

Step by step, they proceeded to revise the existing international order, to dismantle security and arms control systems, and plotted and carried out a series of wars around the world. To reiterate, all of that was done for the sole purpose of dismantling the post-WWII architecture of international relations. This is not a figure of speech. This is how it all unfolded in reality. After the Soviet Union collapsed, they sought to perpetuate their global dominance regardless of the interests of modern Russia or other countries for that matter. …

Now, they are using NATO to give us signals, which, in fact, is an ultimatum whereby Russia should, no questions asked, implement everything that it agreed to, including the New START Treaty, whereas they will do as they please. As if there is no connection between strategic offensive weapons and, say, the conflict in Ukraine or other hostile Western actions against our country. As if there are no vociferous claims about them seeking to inflict a strategic defeat on us. This is either the height of hypocrisy and cynicism, or the height of stupidity, but they are not idiots. They are not stupid after all. They want to inflict a strategic defeat on us and also to get to our nuclear sites. …

Their statement comes, in fact, as a request to join this process. Well, come onboard, we do not mind. Just try not to lie to everyone this time and present yourselves as champions of peace and detente. We know the truth. We are aware of the fact that certain types of US nuclear weapons are reaching the end of their service life. In this regard, we know for certain that some politicians in Washington are already pondering live nuclear tests, especially since the United States is developing innovative nuclear weapons. There is information to that effect. Given these circumstances, the Defence Ministry and Rosatom must make everything ready for Russia to conduct nuclear tests. We will not be the first to proceed with these tests, but if the United States goes ahead with them, we will as well. No one should harbour dangerous illusions that global strategic parity can be disrupted. …

Russia will meet any challenges because we are all one country, a big and united nation. We are confident in ourselves and confident in our strength. The truth is on our side. (Applause.)

Thank you.

What a drama queen and phony Putin is.

    Consider:

Putin is teaming up with Turkic/Muslim Turkey and Azerbaijan to put the screws to Moscow’s longtime Christian ally, Armenia, and the ancient, Armenian-populated region of Nagorno-Karabagh/Artsakh.

Azerbaijan is an ally of Israel, by the way.

In other words, Putin is, in effect, teaming up with a NATO member and an Israeli ally.

Show how Putin is “teaming up” with Azerbaijan.

I’m not saying he isn’t, but I just haven’t seen any indication of that so far.

I can answer that question in 100 ways.

        One example:

Ahead of Ukraine invasion, Azerbaijan and Russia cement “alliance”:
        https://eurasianet.org/ahead-of-ukraine-invasion-azerbaijan-and-russia-cement-alliance

Russia is also going along with Azerbaijan’s blockade of Armenian Karabagh even though the Russian peacekeepers there have a signed and sworn mandate to protect the Armenians there.

Russia has also allowed Azeri troops to invade and occupy parts of southern Armenia since 2022 even though Russia and the CSTO have mutual defense agreements with Armenia.

I don’t think Russia is able to defend them, is the thing. There was a post awhile ago regarding US strategy to bleed Russia in multiple areas.

Armenia might have to make some deal with the Turks that allows them some sovereign area to live in, under Turkish rules. Y’all are just weak.

In the US we had a massive train crash recently, lots of toxins. No one cares. Because we’re weak. That’s how the world works. Thankfully, I don’t live near that area, not in that state or region. But it’s a terrible crash.

Anyway, you just have to preserve what you can.

Point 40 obliges both countries to “ensure the protection, preservation and development of the historical, cultural and religious heritage, as well as the ethnic, linguistic and cultural identity of national minorities living in the territories of the Parties.” That would appear to be a reference to the many medieval Armenian churches on territory that Azerbaijan retook as a result of the 2020 war with Armenia, and which Azerbaijani officials have repeatedly threatened.

Say what you want about Putin and Russia, but don’t you wish leaders in the west had nearly the oratory acumen or just plain spoken truth? It is fashionable how even the so-called good guys on the right always have to have the disclaimer “well, I don’t approve of what Russia did”, but they approve of the carnage in UKR since 2014 (at least)? There is almost no one to listen to anymore. There are no adults, anywhere.

    • Weaver
      Weaver says:

I doubt anyone reading here has criticised Putin in Ukraine. What do I know to criticise him? Maybe he should have gone in in 2014. It’s none of my business regardless.

He does speak well. If the “West” continues to have problems, we could see Europeans moving to Russia at some point. I have no such plans, but it’s a possible trend.

    • Valkoinen Kuolema
      Valkoinen Kuolema says:

Hard to tell whether you are being sarcastic or not? Literally nothing Russian leaders say is “plain spoken truth”. Every word is scripted for political purposes, domestic and foreign. Often bits and pieces thrown in here and there for everyone e.g. some antiwhite/anticolonial rhetoric for the third world, some social conservative rhetoric for demoralized right-wingers in the West, etc. Nothing is sincere.

To quote George F. Kennan in his 1946 Long Telegram: “In atmosphere of oriental secretiveness and conspiracy which pervades this Government, possibilities for distorting or poisoning sources and currents of information are infinite. The very disrespect of Russians for objective truth–indeed, their disbelief in its existence–leads them to view all stated facts as instruments for furtherance of one ulterior purpose or another.”

But usually there are two parts to a Putin speech: the long boring fluff and the substantive announcement of action (like declaring full mobilization, or finally acknowledging that his war against the Ukrainian people is a war, rather than a “special military operation”). By his own folly, Putin has trapped himself in zugzwang, so his latest speeches have been totally devoid of any substance whatsoever.

Some older Russians say Putin increasingly reminds them of the incredibly boring speeches in the Soviet Union, where Dear Leader drones on for hours without saying anything substantive, repeating the same predictable talking points as the captive audience is falling asleep; nevertheless everyone has to clap and play along pretending Dear Leader’s every banal and inane word was in fact some profound utterance.

Putin has no moves left to make. Hundreds of thousands of young men, Ukrainian and Russian alike, are dying in his meatgrinder, cut down in the prime of their lives to maintain Putin’s regime for at most a few months longer. The 71-yr-old despot is sacrificing the future of both Russia and Ukraine on the altar of his own ego (perhaps Putin’s Chabad rabbis convinced him he is the Moshiach fulfilling Hebrew prophesies). Putin lost his big gamble when Russia failed to capture Kyiv in 3 days. There is literally no other reason to continue Russian “denazification” war against the Ukrainian nation, other than the fact that Putin knows his goose is cooked the minute the war ends and he has nothing to show for it.

And “good guys on the right” don’t approve of Russia, period. Russia is responsible for all carnage in Ukraine since Russia’s 2014 invasion of Crimea and Donbas, led by Igor Girkin/Strelkov (confessed in his own words). Putin merely escalated his genocidal war against Ukrainian men, women, and children in 2022. Graveyard of nations Russia reduced Ukraine’s industrial heartlands Donetsk/Luhansk into barren Russki Mir wastelands Donbabwe/Luganda “People’s Republics”. A bitter irony that after 8 years of nonsensical Russian propaganda alleging Ukrainians were committing some genocide in Donbas (which mysteriously never actually killed all the “Russian-separatists” Putin sent in since 2014), Putin himself essentially wiped out the entire male population of his “Donetsk People’s Republic” within a year’s time.

Vladimir Putin is the greatest mass-murderer of White people since his hero Josef Stalin–to whom Putin has recently dedicated new monuments in Stalingrad. Hopefully no future monster will arise to break Putin’s antiwhite record as our worst mass-murderer of the 21st century.

      • Weaver
        Weaver says:

Russia has been trying for peace. Ukraine demands Crimea, other impossible territory. The fault is with the Jews running Ukraine and with the US.

Crimea had its water cut off. The mistake perhaps was in not fully securing Crimea in 2014.

Anyway, before the war I said the US hates nationalists. And we see them ground up. The US wants both sides harmed.

  4. Ron Chapman
    Ron Chapman says:

    G’day Philly Woman,
Arguably life is more complicated than just picking sides based on apparent superficial ideological and religious orientations.
    Nuances are important.
Armenia was governed by a clique (whether they got elected legitimately or not) that flirted with the US and the West; and Russia (unlike the US et al) didn’t seek to overtly interfere with the apparent democratic decisions of the Armenian population.
BUT there are consequences for “supping with the devil” namely that the Armenian state could not then expect Russia to intervene to save it and the region of Nagorno-Karabagh/Artsakh when the Khazarian Mafia decided to use Azerbaijan, Turkey and Israel to make war on them.

Russia is not “teaming up” with NATO members and Israel to harm Armenia rather it is playing a long game in which Turkey is being encouraged to leave NATO and join BRICS and their Eurasian partners in opposition to the fraudulent “rules based”, Talmudic US hegemonic global control mechanism.

With its SMO in Ukraine and generally, Russia is leading our world toward freedom from Khazarian Mafia control and enslavement. That is what is truly important. The populations of all nations, including Armenia, need to overcome their mind controlled stupidity, recognise what’s happening and opt to support Russia’s efforts. Blaming Russia for its subtle efforts to remove Turkey from NATO and US Khazarian influence does not help solve the problem.

    Peace and Blessings,
    Ron

    >[Regarding Western sanctions on Russian oligarchs]: Trust me, not a single ordinary citizen in our country felt sorry for those who lost their assets in foreign banks, lost their yachts or palaces abroad, and so on.

That’s odd since just this week Putin’s most popular top TV war propagandist Vladimir Solovyov (Shapiro) spent a whole show kvetching about how Fascist Italy was persecuting Jews like him by depriving him of his beautiful Italian villas on Lake Como, just like during WW2/”Great Patriotic War” (which never ended from POV of the Putin regime), so Italy must be next on the long list of Western countries Russian propaganda has already casually called to invade and/or nuke off the face of the earth–while in the real world, the Russian army has been trapped in a meatgrinder for 8 months struggling to advance barely 15 miles westward to Bakhmut, despite all the help from violent convicts released from prison to serve in “Wagner Group” killing Ukrainians under the culinary command of Putin’s Jewish chef Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Oh and meanwhile Solovyov’s 21-yr-old Mischling son Daniil Solovyov, nickname “Blondie”, lives a life of LGBT luxury as a male model in London, despite being of prime demographic to be ‘mobilized’ and sent to Putin’s meatgrinder. Just like the kids of ALL Russian leaders, including Lavrov, Peskov, and Putin himself, are sent to enjoy better lives for themselves in the “degenerate West”.

Putin, Solovyov, et al., tell the ordinary Russian people that only Russki Mir can save the world from the Nazi Satanists of the West, yet when it comes to their own children Russian leaders send them packing to live luxuriously in the West. Almost as if Kremlin propagandists aren’t stupid enough to believe a word of their own propaganda. Russians trapped in Russia, especially provincials who have never left Russia and have no other source of information beside Russian state television, at least have an excuse for believing such rubbish, being taken advantage of by the unscrupulous scoundrels who rule Russia.

But what is the excuse of people fortunate enough to be born and living in the West, who willingly choose to believe rubbish propaganda from Moscow that Russian propagandists themselves are not foolish enough to believe for even a second?

I dunno Russia well enough to judge it, but US religion seems to be woke/trans/BLM ideology, plus Zionism. I mean, when critics like you attack Russia, what is the better alternative?

I mentioned before how small, frozen communities in Alaska, Canada, or around the Falklands (not confusing with the Faroes) etc might be left alone. There just aren’t ideal societies around the world.

When critics like you posted at RT, and I replied, it was like talking with some 60 yr old Cold Warrior. The “West” has problems. We’ve been diversified.

    • Weaver
      Weaver says:

The only reason “the West” tolerates nationalism in East Europe is because nationalists fight. When their use is up, they’ll be diversified. Estonia especially has sold its soul to the CIA.

It’s akin to the poem “Dane-Geld” by Kipling. Though Estonia doesn’t pay the US, it has given itself over completely. It won’t easily win back sovereignty.

    SimpleMale says:

Hello, my understanding is that this is an evolutionary war between the Ashkenazim and the Russian Slavs. Who is winning depends on how we define an evolutionary winner. Dr. Michael Anthony Woodley of Menie has given one definition, which is absolute population count. There are indeed much more Russian Slavs than Ashkenazi people, but the absolute population count of the Russian Slavs is decreasing, while the Ashkenazi population is growing exponentially thanks to the Haredi/Hasidic sector.

Other advantages of the Ashkenazim compared to the Russian Slavs include the much higher median IQ of the Ashkenazim and their much higher Group Selected traits such as Ethnocentrism, Industriousness, In-Group Altruism (Sympathy/Empathy/Guilt), Emotional Stability, and Religiosity/Spirituality/Monumentalism/Open-to-Experience. Russia is also undergoing dysgenics, while I believe that Dr. Woodley of Menie stated that Nathan Cofnas made an argument that the religious practices of the Haredi/Hasidic Ashkenazim has maintained their genetic quality, though genes for negative health issues are probably increasing, since modern medicine and sanitation practices keep people with relatively poorer health alive.

With respect to land, Russia is much larger than Israel, and Russia has just acquired more land in Ukraine, at least for now. But, Israel is expending as well, and the Ashkenazim de facto own most of the world’s land and its natural resources. Also, aside for the Gentiles in Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, the rest of the Gentiles belong to the Ashkenazim. The Europeans, Japanese, South Koreans, and Taiwanese are the most cognitively talented property of the Ashkenazim, while the Sub-Saharan Africans make good private sector street soldiers that can be deployed by the hundreds of millions against uncooperative demographic groups such as Europeans and East Asians. And the billions of Brown Gentiles are used by the Ashkenazim for blue-collar labor.

Economically, the Ashkenazim are self-reliant in that they can make all their high-tech products themselves, and they possess adequate natural resources. Also, all of India’s highest IQ people are moving to the West, making India increasingly useless to Russia. And China’s absolute population count is decreasing fast, coupled with dysgenics. China can also only innovate at a nano-level, not even being capable of micro-innovations, let alone macro-innovations.

So, who is the long term evolutionary winner – the Ashkenazim or the Russian Slavs? I still believe it’s the Ashkenazim. Thank you.
