NYTimes on the most important donors in the presidential election

Republicans: Tim Mellon, Elon Musk, Dick and Liz Uihlein, Linda McMahon (non-Jews); and pro-Israel nutcase Miriam Adelson (bad sign). But it’s no surprise that she supported “more traditional” Republicans:

Miriam Adelson, a fervent supporter of Israel, decided earlier this year to break with the rest of Trump world and start her own super PAC. She is planning to put more than $100 million into the group.

Ms. Adelson took some criticism from Mr. Trump just a few days after meeting with him at the Republican National Convention in July, drawing his ire because she is working with more traditional establishment Republican operatives. But Mr. Trump then showered her with praise at a recent event focused on antisemitism, at which Ms. Adelson spoke.

Democrats: Reid Hoffman (not Jewish as far as I can tell), George and Alex Soros, Mike Bloomberg, Dustin Moskowitz, and Jeffrey Katzenberg.

As has been the case for decades, Jews fund the Democratic Party and the political left generally. But Jewish money is too big for Republicans to ignore and may well be at least partly responsible for their fervent support of Israel in Congress.
