That Jews and Muslims are inbred warmongers, as Jeff Cane states, is surely one of the least controversial statements imaginable. On the other hand, a genuinely lively question is whether what drives them is (1) lunacy or (2) witting acquisitiveness and conscious hatred of the Other unchecked by any sense of moral restraint, either innate or inculcated. Whatever the answer, evidence that any pledge, creed, oath, or other form of sworn undertaking—at least of the utterly toothless variety that has crowded out all competitors in present-day America’s legal structures—can substitute or has ever substituted adequately for the absence of conscience is to be found nowhere except in dreams.
