    The somewhat (how should I put this without insulting the author with phrases like “sloppy research”) “careless accuracy” of the otherwise likable King is already noticeable on the very first pages; I’m curious to see if this continues as the book progresses.

    Perhaps King has distant brown relatives, judging by his facial features and complexion, but I don’t want to make false assumptions—it’s just my intuitive “racial radar” that picks up on such things. Many “Americans” have negro blood without knowing it.

    It’s also not unusual that Jews, of all people, would publish books about Bismarck’s assassin. Presumably, they’re trying to gloss over, justify, or downplay the act of their racial brother in some way—to romanticize it as a “humanistic-idealistic cause.”

    In this case, alongside Schoeps, also Hungarian Jew Farago, who—even after Bormann’s skull was unearthed during construction work in Berlin and genetically identified beyond a doubt as his—continued to cling to his hoax that he had fled to Argentina.
