Trump in West Palm Beach
Donald Trump’s West Palm Beach speech has gotten a lot of attention (see Lawrence Murray’s comments, at The Right Stuff). There does seem to be a ramping up of tone apparent here — a sense that this election is an apocalyptic moment, as indeed it is. Trump understands, as the Alt Right has been saying, that the establishment is corrupt from top to bottom, that we live in a sham democracy, a sham republic:
This election will determine whether we are a free nation or whether we have only the illusion of democracy, but are in fact controlled by a small handful of global special interests rigging the system, and our system is rigged. This is reality, you know it, they know it, I know it, and pretty much the whole world knows it.
As Angelo Codevilla noted, “Because Republicans largely agree with Democrats that they need not take seriously the founders’ Constitution, today’s American regime is now what Max Weber had called the Tsarist regime on the eve of the Revolution: ‘fake constitutionalism.’”
Trump is aware of the special role of the media:
The establishment and their media enablers will control over this nation through means that are very well known. Anyone who challenges their control is deemed a sexist, a racist, a xenophobe, and morally deformed.
As we have emphasized repeatedly on TOO, the media indictment is always fundamentally a moral indictment, as in Clinton’s “basket of deplorables.” Media messages in favor of massive immigration and the displacement of traditional populations have typically been couched in moral terms. If you oppose the transformation of European societies by immigration, you are a bad person. It’s not just that you are mistaken about the practical effects of massive non-White migration in terms of a decline in social cohesion, increase in social conflict, crime, terrorism, etc., you are morally evil. It’s so simple that there’s no need to get into the social science research.
Moral indictments are also par for the course in Germany. A recent New Yorker article quoted Frauke Petry, leader of Alternative for Deutschland, referring to immigrant crime and mass sex attacks:
“It’s so moral to allow these attacks to happen,” she said sarcastically. “It’s so moral to promise to people around the world that they can come to Germany and find paradise. … Reducing the entire Enlightenment and all of the successes of European history down to this need to be morally good: I find that extremely dangerous. There’s this saying of Nietzsche”—she took out her phone and pulled up the quote almost instantly. …“In ‘Zarathustra’: ‘The good have always been the beginning of the end.’ ”
‘The good have always been the beginning of the end.” Let that sink in. White people going like sheep to the slaughter, but feeling morally superior about doing so.
The sad reality is that the suicide of the West has become a moral imperative in elite circles, a testimony to the enduring and unique appeal of moral principle that has been so characteristic of the West, at least since the 19th century—apparent, for example, in the anti-slavery movement in the U.S. and England where anti-slavery activists were successful by highlighting the suffering of Africans, and in the recent outpouring of empathy in response to the photos of the migrant child washed up on the beach in Turkey, whereas the French child killed by the Muslim terrorist in Cannes, France lying on the street with her teddy bear got almost no coverage.
Right now, these moral sentiments and proneness to empathy are being cynically manipulated by the media in the service of displacing White America and destroying any ethnic basis of European nations; and we at TOO have made no secret on the role of Jews in the media (summarized briefly here and more extensively here, pp. xlvi-lvi).
This didn’t just happen, folks. It’s never been more apparent that we are ruled by a hostile elite.
As many of us have experienced first hand, this ruling class is absolutely ruthless in destroying its enemies. Trump:
They will attack you, they will slander you, they will seek to destroy your career and your family, they will seek to destroy everything about you, including your reputation. They will lie, lie, lie, and then again they will do worse than that, they will do whatever is necessary. The Clintons are criminals, remember that. They’re criminals. … Honestly, she should be locked up. Should be locked up.
There is a messianic tone to Trump’s speech — a sense that he is a lonely warrior fighting the forces of evil out to destroy him, but pursuing a noble, morally pure dream.
I take all of these slings and arrows gladly for you. I take them for our movement so that we can have our country back.
I am not aware of people commenting on these lines, but I suspect they resonated with many of Trump’s enemies who want to see him as a new Hitler. Trump is presenting himself as on a moral crusade against those who have corrupted our system and sold out the country. Trump thus turns the tables on the media’s tactic of controlling dissent by presenting critics of the system as fundamentally immoral — as “sexist, racist, xenophobic and morally deformed” — while ignoring the monumental corruption of the “criminal Clintons” and, as Trump phrased it, the “disastrous trade deals, massive illegal immigration and economic and foreign policies that have bled our country dry.”
It’s a global power structure that is responsible for the economic decisions that have robbed our working class, stripped our country of its wealth and put that money into the pockets of a handful of large corporations and political entities. …
The central base of world political power is right here in America, and it is our corrupt political establishment that is the greatest power behind the efforts at radical globalization and the disenfranchisement of working people. Their financial resources are virtually unlimited, their political resources are unlimited, their media resources are unmatched, and most importantly, the depths of their immorality is absolutely unlimited.
Trump’s moral indictment of the ruling class is overwhelming, and should resonate with voters far more than being called a racist for supporting Trump — much less worrying about the allegations of Trump’s sexual impropriety. But of course the media will continue to push their charges of racism and xenophobia as long as it continues to be effective with so many White people.
Then, most explosively:
The Clinton machine is at the center of this power structure. We’ve seen this first hand in the WikiLeaks documents, in which Hillary Clinton meets in secret with international banks to plot the destruction of U.S. sovereignty in order to enrich these global financial powers, her special interest friends and her donors.
This presumably refers to speeches she has given before international banks advocating free trade and open borders. Wikileaks released emails from John Podesta of a Clinton speech to Banco Itau, a large Brazilian bank, in May of 2013, in which she said:
“My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, some time in the future with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere.”
As Trump is implying, free trade and open borders would of course destroy US sovereignty and are quite central to the globalist agenda for the West. His statement is well-based on fact. The speeches to the banksters were indeed private affairs and she has refused to release transcripts.
When I first heard these remarks about Clinton meeting in secret with international banks, it didn’t register with me as anything more than a comment on the sad reality of Clinton’s two-faced life, which she acknowledges in another Wikileaks document, of saying one thing to the public but believing, and presumably promoting, something quite different in private. Despite what she says now, no one with half a brain could believe that she would oppose TPP and other globalist trade deals if elected.
But Jewish activists were horrified, claiming any mention of secret meetings with international banks should be banned because such talk is historically linked to anti-Semitism. A firestorm erupted on Twitter and elsewhere. Jonathan Taylor at Counterpunch has a nice compendium of the activist Jews in the media and the ADL (Stevens, Mensch, Kirchick, Joffe, Greenblatt) and cucks like Rick Wilson who were horrified that Trump would so obviously implicate Jews as the enemies of pre-great America.
This is an egregiously stupid tactic for Jews and cucks to take. Why call attention to Jewish involvement in international banking when their involvement and their general commitment to a globalist model for Western countries is well-known?
Apparently, criticizing globalism is like criticizing Israel: if you do so, you will be accused of anti-Semitism. It’s a great way to stifle legitimate discussion. As Taylor notes, “It’s as if someone responded to the Occupy movement that ‘the 1%” is a codeword for Jews, so we should stop talking about wealth disparity.’ The ramifications are obvious — leave the global elites out of this campaign or you’re a Jew-hating bigot and by the way here comes the ADL.” Taylor is remarkably candid about the reality of Jewish involvement in globalism:
For our tiny size, we are by far the most politically influential. The worlds of finance, media, journalism and law are home to extremely disproportionately high numbers of Jews. Leading globalist institutions like the World Bank, IMF, and WTO have high numbers of Jewish executives and staffers, as do organizations such as the Council on Foreign Relations, which one informal estimate claims is around 50% Jewish. Half of the US’s billionaires are Jewish. Jewish donors play an enormous role in funding Hillary Clinton’s campaign. The normally Republican and predominantly Jewish neoconservatives have thrown their support behind Hillary. … Bringing up anti-Semitism then just reminds people of how much influence and power Jews have.
Taylor then comes up with a standard Jewish response when Jewish overrepresentation is brought up by people who are critical of the policies this overrepresentation results in:
None of this is evidence of conspiracy. Jews are overrepresented in a many other fields as well, such as mathematics, physics, medicine, philosophy, etc. Jews like to argue with each other and with gentiles, and anybody positing a unified Jewish perspective on any issue has obviously never had Shabbat dinner with a typical Jewish extended family. But claims that Jews are using their disproportionate wealth and influence to support Hillary Clinton are, in fact, true.
Of course, that’s nonsense. What we are seeing now, as on many issues ranging from Israel to immigration and refugee policy, is a “virtually unanimous” Jewish hostility toward Trump. And for some reason, despite their overrepresentation among American elites, they are quite underrepresented among supporters of an identity politics for White people.
Gilad Atzmon remarks that “If [the ADL’s] Greenblatt was genuinely concerned with defamation and the safety of American Jews he should have lobbied the herd of Jewish international bankers to remove themselves from American politics. But for Greenblatt and others within his tribal milieu, Jewish power is the power to silence the very discussion of Jewish power!”
But of course, if the bankers got out of politics, those lucrative free trade deals would evaporate. Not good for the bottom line.
