Every Single Time: Democrats Plan For Color Revolution

November 1, 2024/5 Comments/in General/by Kevin MacDonald

Authored by Jeff Carlson and Hans Mahncke via Truth Over News.)
It feels like there’s been a notable shift amongst Democrats in the last month. A recent sense of fatalism – or perhaps just simple resignation to what appears to be an inevitable Trump win. But as it turns out, there are some Democrats who have been preparing for this potential outcome for at least the last year.

One of those people is Norman Eisen, and it looks like he’s up to his old Lawfare & Color Revolution tricks again. The man responsible for virtually all of the legal attacks on President Trump now has a new activist group – although it has many of the same players – and they’re preparing for an assault on a second Trump Presidency.

Eisen, a Brookings senior fellow, Obama’s former White House Ethics Czar and Ambassador to Czechoslovakia during the “Velvet Revolution,” has been behind the ongoing Lawfare that has targeted Trump for years. Eisen was one of the primary forces behind the first impeachment of Trump and is also the co-founder of Leftist non-profit CREW or Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

Eisen played a lead role in Democrats pre-2020 election war games which predicted a remarkably accurate contested election scenario that ended unfavorably for Trump. Of particular note in regards to his current efforts, Eisen is also the author of the highly influential color revolution manual, The Democracy Playbook.

Eisen’s latest venture, State Democracy Defenders Action (SDDA), bills itself as bringing “together a bipartisan all-star team of experts in safeguarding democracy” and ominously claims they help “shape the long term strategy to defeat Election denial and its logical outgrowth: American Autocracy, starting with preparing for a vigorous response to whatever 2025 – and beyond – may bring.”

Their site claims that SDDA will “fill three key gaps in the fight against election sabotage and autocracy” by going “on offense against democracy deniers who break the law, including through our innovative program of outside public support for criminal prosecutions.”

The group says they “work with national, state and local allies across the country to defend in real-time the foundation of our democracy – free and fair elections.” State Democracy Defenders Action also foreshadows future civil unrest by claiming to “help shape the long-term strategy to defeat autocracy in 2025 – and beyond.”

As we’ll see, this sounds like the formation of a Color Revolution.

Central to their efforts are what the group calls their 10 Principles, which can appear innocuous with a casual glance but are actually representative of NeoCon, Never-Trump talking points and Globalist Goals. When one reads these principles with an eye towards a future Trump Presidency, their words take on an entirely different meaning.

The group’s first principle states that they “believe in the foundational idea of rule of law.” But that claim is immediately followed by a weaponized declaration that’s obviously aimed at Trump:

“Our country cannot be led by anyone who believes they are not accountable to our Constitution or who repeatedly and persistently violates civil and criminal statutes. That is disqualifying and contrary to the principle of rule of law.”

You can probably see where this is going. State Democracy Defenders Action repeatedly references J6, Project 2025 and Autocracy, utilizing these leftist dog whistles wherever possible:

“We are alarmed about the rising autocratic movement in the United States that threatens the American idea and the American people. January 6, 2021, represented an ugly inflection point of this movement and it is driving forward with authoritarian proposals like Project 2025 that constitute an assault on the freedoms of every American. This movement threatens to eviscerate our rights, our prosperity, and our stability and security upon which our nation and the world rely.”

The group also appears to be preparing to fight Trump’s planned downsizing of the federal government, noting that career civil service employees “work in our government irrespective of the political party or ideology of the person elected to the Presidency.” They laughingly claim that “Our civil servants’ obligations to the people of this country, the Constitution, and the rule of law serve a fundamental role in effective democratic governance.”

Eisen appears to be using many of the useful idiots and perennial talking heads that he hosts on his weekly lawfare calls: Jennifer Rubin, Asha Rangappa, George Conway, Joe Walsh, Ruth Ben-Ghiat, Ty Cobb, John Dean, Heath Mayo, and Skye Perryman.

Although most are not particularly impressive, these operatives do have a purpose to fulfill. The way Eisen’s projects have worked historically is through the establishment of a public-facing entity that propagates and publicizes their ideas and agendas while disguising the organization’s more sinister goals.

Eisen and the other senior operators always seem to use the same talking heads and former federal prosecutors to get their narrative circling in the public sphere. A public “prep” if you will. Meanwhile, a far more serious effort is mounted behind the scenes.

In advance of the 2020 election, Edward Foley, an Eisen collaborator and head of the election law program at Ohio University, issued a 55-page paper discussing the coming Blue Shift — a theory which holds that Democratic candidates often gain votes in the days following the actual election. This narrative was carefully crafted by Eisen’s operatives and carried by the media over the next twelve months.

By the time the 2020 election arrived everyone anticipated a delay in voting results. The sudden overnight shift from a Trump lead to a Biden win was still a huge shock — but it would have been impossible without this careful advance planning and widespread dissemination by Democrat operatives. Eisen’s useful idiots fulfill precisely this function — which is why he uses them in almost all of his operations.

But make no mistake. More serious operators are in charge of things. In addition to Eisen, there’s Eisen’s original Lawfare partner Norm Ornstein of American Enterprise Institute, NeoCon and Never-Trumper Bill Kristol (we can debate how serious Kristol actually is), the Atlantic’s David Frum, Susan Corke (Managing Director of SDDA), Victoria Nuland’s husband Robert Kagan — and DNC Power Operative Michael Podhorzer.

Podhorzer, the former political director of the AFL-CIO and current Fellow at the Center for American Progress, is the man credited in Time’s now-infamous article, The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign, as being “The Architect” of Biden’s “win in 2020. Podhorzer is also the founder of The Analyst Institute, which has been referred to as “the nerve center of the data-driven empirical turn in Democratic campaign strategies.”

Unlike the public-facing useful idiots, Podhorzer is rarely seen and once again appears to be operating behind the scenes. Podhorzer is a highly powerful, highly influential, but little known DNC operative — and while we can’t prove it, our guess is that he’s directing Eisen rather than the other way around.

The inclusion of Robert Kagan, a Brookings Fellow like Eisen, is also notable. He recently “resigned” from the Washington Post after the paper refused to endorse Kamala. A long-time NeoCon, Kagan has worked tirelessly to lie and manipulate our country into multiple wars. His wife, Victoria Nuland, was instrumental in overthrowing the legitimately elected government in Ukraine in early 2014 and she was also involved in the RussiaGate lie — receiving perhaps the earliest known copy of the Steele Dossier in early July 2016.

Back in November 2023, Kagan penned a dangerous — 6,000 word editorial in the Washington Post titled “A Trump dictatorship is increasingly inevitable. We should stop pretending.” Kagan said a Trump win was all but inevitable — and Trump would rule as a ruthless dictator “unless something radical and unforeseen happens.”

As Mollie Hemmingway noted at the time, “This extreme and dangerous genre — of claiming Trump is Hitler (because, they say, he might do what Democrats are doing right now) – should probably be given the name Assassination Prep.”

Kagan’s inclusion in Eisen’s new effort also explains the sudden appearance of Victoria Nuland on Rachel Maddow — which prompted Alexandros Marinos to ask “Did Nuland step down from State so she could coordinate the color revolution playbook from outside, like she did in Ukraine?” The answer to that question is almost certainly a resounding “yes.”

After resigning from the State Department, Nuland joined the Board of Directors at the National Endowment for Democracy. As Mike Benz notes, the NED is really just a CIA cut-out —and a major driver in the censorship of Americans — something that Nuland told Maddow she still supports:

“In 2020, the social media companies worked hard with the government to try to do content moderation to try to catch this stuff as it was happening, but this time we have Elon Musk talking directly to the Kremlin and ensuring that every time the Russians put out something like this, it gets 5 million views on X before anybody can catch it. So it’s quite dangerous.”

Eisen’s new group has also collaborated closely with the No Dictators Declaration, a loose-knit coalition organized by Senator Jamie Raskin — who recently stated that he intended to lead an effort to refuse to certify Trump as president if Trump won the election. Included in the No Dictators Declaration are specific calls to reduce Trump’s ability to respond to any post-election domestic unrest or civil uprisings. From their A Call to Protect American Freedoms declaration:

  1. 1. To reduce the threat of dictatorship, Congress should limit the president’s ability to declare bogus domestic and foreign emergencies.
  1. 2. To reduce the threat of dictatorship, Congress should limit the president’s abuse of his or her power to deploy the military on American soil.
    • ◦ Under the outdated and overbroad Insurrection Act, presidents can claim extraordinary powers to deploy troops domestically. Recently, some have called for its invocation to prevent Americans from exercising their First Amendment rights of free expression.
  1. 3. To reduce the threat of dictatorship, Congress should prevent the adoption of partisan, personal, and ideological loyalty tests, loyalty oaths, and similar authoritarian measures designed to purge the professional civil service and replace qualified workers with unqualified loyalists to the president.
    • ◦ Working for the federal government means working for the American people under the Constitution and the rule of law.
  1. 4. To reduce the threat of dictatorship, Congress should ensure that presidents who abuse their powers to commit crimes can be prosecuted like all other people.
    • ◦ The founders overthrew a king and wrote a Constitution to enshrine the core American ideal that no person is above the law. We the people must restore the concept that we are all equal before the law.
  1. 5. To reduce the threat of dictatorship, Congress should limit the president’s ability to use investigative and prosecutorial decisions and resources to pursue vendettas against disfavored people and groups.
    • ◦ The Department of Justice, the Internal Revenue Service, and other government agencies cannot become instruments of tyranny. We must make certain that the executive branch cannot employ increasingly creative ways to persecute individuals, civil society organizations, and nonprofits based on their ideologies.
    • ◦ The U.S. currently has 42 national emergencies declared, some decades-old. Under emergency powers, a president can claim the authority to divert funds, seize property, and bypass Congress.

Everything contained within the group’s declaration is designed to limit and neuter a Trump Presidency —  to cripple Trump’s ability to respond and follow through on his campaign promises. Their declaration is really the fearful confession of guilty parties who are willing to do anything to avoid accountability.

One word that’s used over and over again by Eisen’s group is Autocracy — in which absolute power is held by the ruler — in this case Trump. It’s a subtle continuation of the “Trump is Hitler” theme that’s used as the rationale for the group’s existence (Eisen’s group even has an extensive “American Autocracy Threat Tracker”). As SDDA member Ruth Ben-Ghiat stated, “This is an anti-autocracy conference because autocracy is what we are looking at if Donald Trump comes back to the White House.”

It’s also why there’s a continual focus on restricting Trump’s use of the Insurrection Act.

A number of current and former officials have claimed that Trump will attempt to use military force. Leon Panetta, who served as Obama’s CIA Director and then as his Secretary of Defense, told NBC that “Like any good dictator, Trump’s going to try to use the military to basically perform his will.” Senator Dick Blumenthal breathlessly claimed that “There are an array of horrors that could result from Trump’s unrestricted use of the Insurrection Act.”

Mary McCord, executive director of the Institution for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection at Georgetown Law, told NBC that “‘We’re already starting to put together a team to think through the most damaging types of things that Trump might do so that we’re ready to bring lawsuits if we have to.”

McCord was the Acting head of the DOJ’s National Security Division from 2016 to 2017 and she was involved in the FBI’s early FISA surveillance of Trump advisor Carter Page. McCord was also appointed by Nancy Pelosi as legal counsel to the Jan 6th Capitol Security Review Task Force and has written articles pushing the Jan 6th narrative. McCord is one of the very worst of the Deep State actors.

The Insurrection Act authorizes the president to deploy military forces inside the United States to suppress rebellion or domestic violence or to enforce the law in certain situations. The Insurrection Act was last invoked in 1992, during the L.A. riots that followed the Rodney King beating by police. Both sides seem to believe that it may be needed again.

Podhorzer placed things into frightening context when he told the Autocracy in America conference that “The key question going into November is whether or not — and this is the message this conference is trying to get across — is to believe that this is an election as profound as any since 1860 about where this country is going.”

Podhorzer knew exactly what he was invoking. The election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860 marked the final slide of America into the Civil War which formally began on April 12, 1861.

We mentioned the Time Magazine article on the 2020 election earlier, and we did so for a reason. There were several material admissions made, not the least being that the Left does actually control the activities of groups like Antifa, Black Lives Matter and others that rioted throughout the 2020 election year.

As the article notes, “Many of those organizers were part of [Mike] Podhorzer’s network” the man credited in Time’s article as being “The Architect” of the entire election effort.

The article detailed how more than 150 liberal groups had joined the “Protect the Results” coalition and stated that “The group’s now defunct website had a map listing 400 planned post-election demonstrations, to be activated via text message as soon as Nov. 4. To stop the coup they feared, the left was ready to flood the streets.”

There is another unspoken admission here as well. The trigger for the pre-planned riots was a Biden loss, not a “stolen election”. Or said another way, the Left would determine what comprised a stolen election only by its outcome.

This matter was further highlighted by Angela Peoples, director for the Democracy Defense Coalition, who told Time Magazine that “We wanted to be mindful of when was the right time to call for moving masses of people into the street.” But after Fox called Arizona for Biden, a decision was made to “stand down”. As Podhorzer noted, “They had spent so much time getting ready to hit the streets on Wednesday. But they did it…there was not a single Antifa vs. Proud Boys incident.”

In other words, Podhorzer and his crew effectively controlled the actions of Antifa and Black Lives Matter — if not completely, then at the very least during these critical moments and days. It seems likely that they control these same groups today.

In his Color Revolution playbook, Eisen wrote that “Political opposition groups should form networks between other opposition groups, local electoral activists, civil society groups, and, where appropriate, international organizations and actors” and “Forcefully contest each individual illiberal act of non-democratic actors”. Eisen also foreshadowed his continued use of lawfare, noting that “big data and AI can play a role in litigation by forecasting which judges and jurisdictions are responsive to specific arguments, thereby guiding well-funded litigants while disadvantaging those without access to such tools.” The plans by Eisen’s group should be taken seriously. We all remember the chaos and widespread civil unrest that took place in 2020. And don’t forget. If Trump is Hitler, then in Eisen’s eyes we are the “non-democratic actors” that his group is targeting.

TAKE 2 MILLION IMMIGRANTS AND CALL ME IN THE MORNING

October 31, 2024/3 Comments/in General/by Ann Coulter

TAKE 2 MILLION IMMIGRANTS AND CALL ME IN THE MORNING

At this point, the only thing we know for sure about the presidential election is that if Donald Trump loses, it will be because of his personality, and if he wins, it will be because of immigration.

I know this because the media are publishing almost as many stories about the wonders of immigration as they are about Trump being Adolf Hitler. The New York Times, The Washington Post, NPR, MSNBC, the lickspittles at Cato — you can’t open your computer or turn on the TV without encountering a tidal wave of lies about our beloved immigrants. (Former Washington Post readers, you’ll just have to take my word for it.)

In the Times, Linda Qiu produced a whopper of an article purporting to refute Trump’s malicious nonsense about immigration, and as an immigrant herself, must be completely unbiased, so I’ll use that as my template.

Qiu begins with the silly claim that Trump and his vice-presidential nominee, JD Vance, blame everything on illegal immigrants. (Her article is already hanging in my Museum of Straw Man Arguments.)

“Be it gun violence, high housing costs, long wait times at emergency rooms or an impending depletion of disaster relief funding,” she writes, “Mr. Trump and Senator JD Vance have offered the same diagnosis: All are because of unauthorized immigration.”

Well, maybe not exclusively because of illegal immigration. (Only RACISM can be blamed for everything.) But while immigration is not 100% responsible for these problems, it’s hard to think of anything that’s been made easier to solve by dumping millions of uneducated, poverty-stricken, non-English-speaking people on our country.

Nevertheless, Qiu claims Trump and Vance are not merely overstating the case, but completely wrong. You see, she has “experts.”

One “expert,” Ieva Jusionyte, a professor at Brown University, said, “Vance is not correct that there is an influx of illegal guns from Mexico. … It is simply not a thing.”

I totally trust someone who says, “it is simply not a thing.” If she threw in “not on my bingo card” or “saying the quiet part out loud,” she’d have sold me right there.

Except Jusionyte’s claim is absurd. Where do liberals imagine criminals get their guns? According to the Department of Justice, the guns used in crimes mainly come from illegal sources, to wit: people involved in the sale of illegal drugs, markets for stolen goods and other criminals or criminal enterprises. (How about the much-maligned gun shows? A grand total of about 0.8% of guns used in crimes come from gun shows. Ninety percent of guns used in crimes do not come from any retail source at all.)

As it happens, Mexican cartels are a gigantic criminal enterprise right on our border. They move enough fentanyl, synthetic methamphetamine and other drugs into our country to kill about 100,000 Americans every year. But not guns— no sir! — according to Jusionyte. Perhaps cartel enforcers protect their “multibillion-dollar narco empire” (New York Times) with complaints to the HR department.

The Times’ Qiu cites other “government data and experts” who claim we’re the ones sending guns to the cartels. (NYT rule: Always blame Americans.)

Liberals have been pushing this lie for 20 years. They finally got so desperate that Barack Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder, had to start putting U.S. guns directly into the hands of Mexican drug cartels so that Democrats could blame innocent American gun dealers. (For my younger readers, look up “Operation Fast and Furious.”)

Except Holder got caught, so the Democrats’ next idea was to dummy up a phony study that’s been refuted a million times, but was bought hook, line and sinker by the crack Times reporter.

Citing “U.S. and Mexican governments and independent researchers” — I just hope the independent researchers use phrases like “that’s not a thing” — Qiu somberly reported that “about 70 percent of firearms recovered at crime scenes in Mexico came from the United States.”

That is precisely the opposite of the truth — also my idea for the Times’ new motto.

Mexico doesn’t send all guns retrieved from crime scenes to the U.S. for tracing, only the ones with serial numbers, indicating they came from the U.S. About 70% of guns used by Mexican criminals have no serial numbers and no conceivable connection to the U.S., and, therefore, were never sent to the U.S. for tracing.

It’s only among the roughly 30% that were sent to the U.S. that a majority were traced to the U.S. That’s the Democrats’ big gotcha: Guns from the U.S. were traced to the U.S.! It’s a miracle! On the other hand, more than 80% of all guns found at Mexican crime scenes were not from the U.S.

This is the sort of stupid game liberals play to try to convince us that all guns are bad and all Mexicans are good — definitely better than Americans, with their nasty gun culture.

As for housing, anyone with the intellect of a parakeet ought to be able to grasp that more people in need of housing will inevitably drive up the price of housing. It’s called the Law of Supply and Demand. If Qiu has figured out a way to repeal that law, she should publish immediately. Not only will she win a Nobel Prize in economics, but everyone in the world can have beachfront property and a classic six on Park Avenue.

On the other hand, if she hasn’t repealed the law of supply and demand, Qiu is, in fact, dumber than a parakeet.

Finally, of course mass third world immigration harms our schools, hospitals, Social Security, disaster relief and every other service meant for the American people. First, there are the gobs of money required to accommodate millions of non-English speakers — like bilingual teachers, doctors, nurses, law enforcement officers, court translators, etc. All mandated by law.

But also, since 1970, we have been deliberately bringing in the poorest, least-educated people in the world. They don’t come close to making enough money to pay for the massive amounts of services they consume. Every additional schoolbook, teacher, bus driver, janitor, hospital bed, catheter, liver transplant — that’s on you, taxpayer. (If Kamala Harris is elected, you’ll also be on the hook for illegals’ transgender operations, too.)

Not surprisingly, a majority, 54%, of immigrant-headed households are on welfare, compared to only 39% of U.S.-born households — i.e., the people government assistance was intended to help. For illegal immigrants, the figure is 59%.  And don’t forget, an awful lot of “U.S.-born households” include second- and third- generation immigrants.  It might be time to update liberals’ favorite cliché to, “We’re a nation of immigrants on public assistance.”

What happened to the claim that immigrants, especially illegals, aren’t allowed to collect welfare? Oh, yeah, that’s a lie.

Among other free stuff, illegals get free school breakfasts and lunch, as well as women, infants and children (WIC) benefits, plus emergency room care for all their medical needs. Some states give illegals Medicaid and SNAP. Most important, illegals simply need to drop a baby, and they can immediately start collecting full welfare on behalf of their allegedly, but not really, “American citizen” kid.

I don’t like Trump’s personality either, but since the left will not stop bringing in the third world until our country is the same as every other country, and there’s no reason for anyone to come here, we don’t have much of a choice on Tuesday.

Multiculturalism in flames: Sweden’s rude awakening

October 30, 2024/16 Comments/in General/by Kevin MacDonald

From Snaphanen, a Danish site.

Immigrants and descendants behind two out of three murders in Sweden
Göran Adamson is a Swedish sociologist who was relatively early on with a critique of Swedish multiculturalism, at least for an academic. His new report is more than just a critique, it is a crippling critique of what has happened to Sweden. Furthermore, he is an old leftist.

Unfortunately, it is now so much post hoc that the only thing that can almost be said is that those in power and the low-brow journalists should have listened to those they slandered twenty years ago with the worst expressions of the language. They have caused damage that has probably not yet been fully recognized.

A new report from the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) in Brussels shows that two out of three murders in Sweden are committed by people with an immigrant background. The report, called “Multiculturalism in Flames” and written by sociologist Göran Adamson, points to a strong overrepresentation of the foreign-born in violent crime statistics.

Between 2013 and 2017, around two-thirds of murders, attempted murders and murders in Sweden were committed by immigrants or children of immigrants. In addition, the number of shootings per capita in Stockholm is 30 times higher than in London, and the number of bombings has increased sharply in recent years. In 2023, Sweden was hit by nine times as many fatal shootings as Finland, Denmark and Norway combined, according to the report, which is based on public statistics. Immigrants behind two out of three murders

In the report, you can read, among other things:

  • Crime: The increase in criminal activity, particularly involving organized gangs and violent crime, has shaken public confidence. According to the report, foreign-born people or their descendants are disproportionately represented in violent crime statistics, with Sweden experiencing a significant increase in the number of fatal shootings since 2017.
  • Freedom of expression: The report highlights growing concerns about freedom of expression in Sweden, where individuals and institutions are increasingly pressured to avoid discussing migration issues for fear of offending minorities or inciting violence. This, in turn, has compromised the country’s tradition of democratic openness.
  • Political tension: Migration has introduced new tensions into Swedish political life, particularly regarding the clash between Sweden’s progressive values (such as gender equality and secularism) and the different cultural norms that certain migrant communities bring.

Eric Kaufmann: Canada is disintegrating.

October 28, 2024/4 Comments/in General/by Kevin MacDonald

I wonder if it was the same in the U.S. where Biden apologized for the residential schools.’ From Eric Kaufmann’s “Canada is disintegrating“:

Though mistreatment of indigenous Canadians occurred at these schools, as they did in reserve and non-native schools, records show that native people who attended Residential Schools had significantly lower mortality rates from infectious diseases than their peers who remained on reserve. Documentary evidence reveals that children were not removed from reserves without parental consent. Aspirational native parents sought to have such schools constructed and wanted their children to attend. Many who attended spoke positively of their experience. The evidence also does not back up accusations that the schools were designed to erase the culture of First Nations people.

Contrast the following comment by Kaufmann with this column by Alexander Dugin’s “The Imperative of Russian Power“:

Kaufmann:

What happens in a country without cultural conservatism? Look no further than Canada, where the national identity is disintegrating.

Dugin

Liberalism is exhausted, though it persists out of inertia. But now, even executive technocracy is insufficient. Dealing with war, with internal enemies in the fifth and sixth columns, with destructive migration and catastrophic demographics, with traditional and non-traditional values, each must make a choice. Clear and decisive. Not whispered — aloud. And it must be upheld and followed through, possibly to the end, for we are in a time of war. Being Russian today is not just about claiming a title or identity label. Being Russian means joining the ranks of the Russian Cause, understanding oneself as part of a people, willing to sacrifice everything — even life — for the state.

Frankly, this is why many of us favor Russia in the Ukraine war. The West is exhausted and corrupt.

Broken Canadian maple leaf graphic

‘There is no core identity, there is no mainstream’

What happens in a country without cultural conservatism? Look no further than Canada, where the national identity is disintegrating.

In 2015, soon after taking office, the new Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gushed to a fawning New York Times that, “There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada. There are shared values – openness, respect, compassion, willingness to work hard, to be there for each other – but there is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada.”

Along with his fellow travellers in the institutions, he set to work ripping the country’s historic identity to shreds. The three prongs of the attack involved setting fire to its past, promoting LGBTQ and critical race theory in schools and government, and unleashing an unprecedented wave of mass migration. Only now that the full impact of this cultural revolution is sinking in is the country waking up. Even the mainstream liberal left admits things have gone too far.

Journalist Omer Aziz, in the liberal establishment Globe and Mail, penned a viral piece about the betrayal of the ‘Canadian Dream’, which he characterised as on life support. He speaks of a social crisis, an immigration crisis, an economic crisis and a political crisis after the ravages of Trudeau. Former Tory cabinet minister Kevin Klein adds, ‘Today, our country’s identity is under siege, not from outside invaders but from within – by an ideology that seeks to erase what it means to be Canadian. The left’s relentless attack on our values, history, and sense of belonging is tearing at the very fabric of our democracy.’

This summer I spent five weeks in the eastern part of my country, setting foot in the only two of the country’s ten provinces I had yet to visit. What greeted me? The progress pride flag fluttered everywhere across the picturesque small towns of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Food chains in these overwhelmingly British-origin provinces were staffed almost entirely by recent arrivals, the product of an unprecedented wave of temporary foreign workers encouraged by Trudeau’s Liberals. If you think Britain, with 50 percent more people than Canada, took in a lot of immigrants last year, consider that Canada admitted a staggering 1.9 million to the UK’s 1.2 million.

But perhaps the most symbolic sight was in Fredericton, New Brunswick, where woke activists had recently torched the only eighteenth century building in the city – one of only a handful outside Quebec – to the point it may have to be demolished. This ISIS-style vandalism was fired by the vogue for ‘decolonisation’ emerging in the wake of over 100 arson attacks on churches across Canada. These, which Trudeau called ‘understandable’, accompanied a wave of statue toppling of Canadian founders such as Sir John A. Macdonald (as well as Queen Victoria), and were motivated by leftist myths about the churches’ role in the country’s Residential Schools programme for indigenous First Nations people.

The charge that children were killed or placed in ‘mass graves’ by those who ran the schools has no basis in documentary or forensic records. Rather, it is based on selective oral testimony and ignores the considerable monetary and identity incentives shaping the narrative of plaintiffs, white progressive allies and well-paid lawyers. Recently, the Canadian government forked over a whopping $2.8 billion to atone for their claims. The notion that residential schools amounted to a form of ‘genocide’ is based on misinformation and an abuse of the English language, but this did not stop the entire political and media establishment endorsing the lie. Telling such truths is smeared as ‘denialism’ by woke elites, and zealots among them are trying to criminalise it.

Meanwhile, gender reassignment surgery and self-identification are the norm, the UK’s Cass Review has been dismissed and draconian human rights bills like C-16 and C-63 permit plaintiffs to haul people before kangaroo courts known as Human Rights Tribunals for subjectively-defined offences like misgendering. Trudeau’s government has majored on speech policing and authoritarianism towards the right, abusing the language of ‘hate’ and ‘misinformation’ while trafficking in both.

The downstream effects of this woke revolution include falling per capita GDP, rising crime and youth unemployment, soaring house prices and a surge in homeless encampments. As I note in my new book Taboo, the so-called ‘culture war’ is about much more than culture.

Perhaps the only silver lining to the story is that Trudeau’s dumpster fire seems to have woken people up. Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives are crushing the Liberals in the polls by nearly 20 points, on course for a clear majority of seats. Two-thirds of people want lower immigration and the issue is a top concern for voters for the first time I can remember. Meanwhile young Canadians, bucking trends elsewhere in the Anglosphere, appear to lean well to the right of their elders on some metrics.

Only time will tell if this is too little, too late.

Information Liberation: Soros Funds Sohrab Ahmari’s “Conservative” Outlet Compact Magazine

October 27, 2024/6 Comments/in General/by Kevin MacDonald

I was unfamiliar with Chris Menahan’s work but very much liked this article and two other articles he links to at the end on Ben Shapiro and Bethany Mandel respectively. Of course, he is absolutely right that Conservatism Inc is controlled opposition, and it’s no surprise that Soros and his son are funding it. And of course Chris Rufo is a prime example, along with Ben Shapiro and Bethany Mandel

Excerpts:

Report: Soros Funds Sohrab Ahmari’s “Conservative” Outlet Compact Magazine

By Chris Menahan

…

[The article quotes Vanity Fair as follows:]

Ahmari founded Compact in 2022 with Matthew Schmitz, a fellow conservative editor, and Edwin Aponte, a Marxist who left the project due to irreconcilable political differences, Salon reported, and broke off contact with Ahmari and Schmitz. Its mission at the outset was to promote “a strong social-democratic state that defends community—local and national, familial and religious—against a libertine left and a libertarian right.” Despite the bipartisan framing, their most prominent start-up funders belonged to the right. According to Aponte, they included Thiel, the right-wing tech investor and JD Vance mentor, and chairman of the board of the Claremont Institute Thomas Klingenstein—both of whom, in Aponte’s view, “should be robbed of all of their money by a mob of poor people.” (When Salon first reported Thiel’s funding of Compact, it noted, “a source close to Thiel denied that Thiel has directly funded Compact, but couldn’t rule out the possibility that an entity Thiel funds has in turn donated to the magazine.” Klingenstein didn’t respond to a request for comment.)

It’s not weird at all: he funds controlled opposition on both sides to guide the left and right.

One day after this news came out, Chris Rufo — who works for the [Jewish vulture capitalist] Paul Singer-funded Manhattan Institute — had a column published in Compact Magazine lamenting free speech on X and the “disappearance of gatekeepers” leading to surging “anti-Semitism” on the right.

Chris Brunet, who Rufo and Conservatism Inc have been trying to cancel for criticizing Israel, blew the story up on X.

Rufo wrote in his piece, “Against Racialism, Left and Right”:

On X, many right-wing accounts espouse open anti-Semitism, often posting allegedly ironic memes about Adolf Hitler. I once posted something about critical race theory, and was told by one of these accounts, “Well, you know that critical race theory was invented by Jews.” Though this kind of right-wing conspiratorial thinking is nothing new, the fact that it has become so commonplace on online platforms like X is an alarming novelty that merits our concern. [In fact, hatred of Whites is indeed a Jewish project, beginning with “Whiteness Studies which equals CRT without the name.]

The growing distrust of mainstream institutions that is characteristic of today’s right can’t be written off completely. This sentiment—ushered in by figures like Donald Trump—swept away the broken establishment Republican consensus, yet it has failed to fill the ideological vacuum it has created. Trump tried to fill it with partisan politics but lacked an adequate intellectual framework. Those who retrofitted their ideologies to Trump attempted to create an intellectual substructure for his presidency, in some cases ushering in a kind of chaotic element. To be sure, chaos can create space for creativity. But it always comes with a downside.

This ideological vacuum is compounded with relaxed censorship policies on platforms like X, thanks to its new owner, Elon Musk. To be sure, this has allowed more space to express legitimate viewpoints and is preferable to the old censorship system. But it has also allowed conspiratorial thinking to gain traction. Worse, it has opened the door to alt-right influencers and the so-called Groypers, who have taken politics as a method of garnering attention and then monetizing it either on or off their platforms. This has all been exacerbated by the disappearance of gatekeepers and overall quality control within the post-establishmentarian right.

“The Woke Right™️ loves censorship,” Brunet commented.

…

Contrary to the above claims [that Soros is anti-Israel], George Soros was never banned from Israel and Alex Soros is the one who made the decision to invest in Compact Magazine.

George Soros spent his whole life constructing elaborate stories about how his activism was motivated by high-minded ideals from Karl Popper about “open societies” and “inclusive democracies” but his idiot son Alex gave the game away in an interview with New York Times Magazine in 2018:

Alex told me that for many years, his father had not been eager to advertise his Judaism because “this was something he was almost killed for.” But he had always “identified firstly as a Jew,” and his philanthropy was ultimately an expression of his Jewish identity, in that he felt a solidarity with other minority groups and also because he recognized that a Jew could only truly be safe in a world in which all minorities were protected. Explaining his father’s motives, [This is the view of mainstream Jewish communities going back over a century.] he said, “The reason you fight for an open society is because that’s the only society that you can live in, as a Jew — unless you become a nationalist and only fight for your own rights in your own state.”

Fortunately, Alex doesn’t have anywhere near the intelligence or cunning of his predecessor.

The controlled opposition guiding the right is suffering from the same issue.

Republican Jewish Coalition attempting to get Jews to vote for Trump

October 25, 2024/9 Comments/in General/by Kevin MacDonald

I suspect Jews will vote their usual 70+% for the Democrats, assuming that Israel will be okay with either party in power, and generally preferring Harris because it will hasten the demise of White America.

Source.

The ad from the Pro-Trump Republican Jewish Coalition Victory Fund is titled “Deli Talk” and is part of a $15 million ad buy the PAC hopes will serve as a “closing argument” to sway Jews on Philadelphia’s Main Line and beyond to vote for Trump.

“Jewish voters, some of whom have never voted for a Republican in their lives, understand the incredibly high stakes in this election,” RJC CEO Matt Brooks said in a news release. “We encourage Jewish voters to listen to their Bubbies: it’s OK to vote for Donald Trump.”
