Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman: Reaffirming the Anti-White Religion

You have to be living under a rock not to notice the deluge of media coverage of the Trayvon Martin-George Zimmerman affair. The accounts I have seen inevitably emphasize Blacks as victims and implicitly at least, the message reaffirms the narrative of Blacks as innocent victims of Whites. This of course flies in the face of data on crime showing that Blacks are much more likely to victimize Whites than the reverse, with the media bending over backwards to prevent any indication that race was a factor. I don’t recall any national media outrage recently when two Black teenagers set fire to a White teenager after dousing him with gasoline, even though they said they did it because he was a “white boy.” This happened only a few weeks ago. Rather than the wall-to-wall coverage seen in the Trayvon Martin case, there was only a brief and fleeting mention in the New York Daily News and no mention at all in the prestigious national media. It doesn’t fit the narrative that the media feasts on and promotes. No angst from Obama; no Justice Department investigation of a possible hate crime.

Indeed, it’s quite common for the media not to identify the race of non-White perpetrators. And somehow Mr. Zimmerman’s Latino background also slips into irrelevance.

Also virtually unmentioned is that Martin and Zimmerman were fighting, with at least one witness emphasizing that Martin had the upper hand just before the fatal shot. Although Zimmerman seems to have been overzealous in his scrutiny of possible criminals in his community, he may indeed have been “standing his ground” once the encounter escalated into violence. Indeed, the Orlando Sentinel reports that the police are sticking with the version that Martin was the aggressor.

Police sources say Martin was the aggressor on Feb. 26, knocking Zimmerman to the ground with a single punch and then climbing on top of the 28-year-old neighborhood watch captain and slamming the back of his head into the ground. Police say this account, given by Zimmerman, is supported by eyewitnesses, according to the Sentinel’s report.

One such witness reportedly told police that he saw Martin on top of Zimmerman, striking the man, while Zimmerman cried out for help. The attack left Zimmerman bloodied, police sources told the Sentinel, and led him to fire at Martin in self-defense.

Police say Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose, had a fat lip and confirm that the back of his head was cut. He received first aid at the scene but refused to go to the hospital and received medical treatment the following day, according to the Sentinel’s sources. The above report also indicates that Martin was suspended from school because he was found with an empty baggie for marijuana, a violation of  the school’s zero tolerance for drugs policy. Read more

Displacing Whites in the cities

An Associated Press article of March 19 caught my eye: “Chinese learning French to emigrate to Quebec.” Quebec follows its own immigration policy and passing a test in the French language is often enough to be granted entry in the French-speaking part of Canada. Once in Canada they will move to other parts of the country. Chinese are the largest group of immigrants in Northern America after the Mexicans, and in Australia they have become the largest since 2009, accounting for tens of thousands of immigrants every year. It reminds me of a conversation between U.S. President Jimmy Carter and Chinese Communist leader Deng Xiaoping during the Cold War. During their conversation Carter brought up the human rights issue, just as he did with the Soviet Union, raising questions about the possibility of emigration. Deng replied that he does not mind Chinese moving out: how many Chinese immigrants does Carter want —10 million or 20 million?

Until far into the 20th century it was obvious that America and Australia were reserved for European immigrants only. In Americait was official policy until the Immigration Act of 1965 and the “White Australia” policy was pursued until 1973. Strict quotas were placed on immigration from anywhere but Europe. It is not well known but the American immigration restrictions were strongly supported by labor organizations like California’s Workingmen’s Party and the Knights of Labor. They—rightly—believed that big business used the Asians as a means to press down the wages of the White workmen.  Read more

A Winning Mindset for Effective Advocacy

The following is the original text of the speech delivered by James Edwards to the American Renaissance Conference last weekend in Nashville, Tennessee.

Thank you, Jared, for that generous introduction, and thank you for inviting me to speak at American Renaissance 2012. The bi-annual AmRen Conference is the premier event in the cause of European-American advocacy. I’m honored to be here among my colleagues and my friends.

Let me first give you fair warning. I don’t have a silver bullet to offer you. If you came here today in hopes that any of the speakers will be giving you a previously unknown prescription that will cure what ails America, you will leave disappointed. The best I can do for you is to remind you that the political winds are fickle and can quickly change direction. Our job is to keep the pilot light burning until an opportunity presents itself to stoke the embers into an eternal flame.

Beyond that, I will talk to you about what I’ve been able to do that works and offer you practical advice that everyone can apply.

When Jared approached me about speaking here, he suggested that I talk about appealing to the mainstream, and about how I stay positive and professional, while at the same time, coming off as a “normal” guy.

Normalcy shouldn’t be overlooked. Obviously, I’m not talking about anyone here, but let’s face it, sometimes race realists can come across as either over intellectual and socially awkward, or downright angry and bitter. I’m neither. I’m not overly intellectual and one can usually find me in a good mood.

I’m often called “positive” by many folks who talk with me and email me, and I take that for the high compliment they intend it to be. God knows I’ve been called a lot worse. Read more

On the Path to Practical Politics

I was asked by Dr. MacDonald to write an introduction to a body of knowledge which he felt important to bring to the attention of TOO readers.  I struggled with this, first writing a long essay discussing and describing this knowledge, then I realized that the whole point of introducing it wasn’t to paraphrase or describe it, but to encourage you to follow a path toward this knowledge, and hopefully walk that path:  The Path to Practical Politics.

Most if not all readers come to TOO and similar sites because they’ve woken up to the feeling that something is going very wrong everywhere White people dwell.  They discuss the problem, who caused the problem, and present possible solutions.

This is all fine, but something is still missing:  A pathway for each and every reader to actually do something every day.   Most of us aren’t capable of authoring the fine articles that appear here and on associated sites, articles that discuss the problem eloquently.  But we are completely capable of acting effectively,  if only we have the right tools and a guide to using them.

A general summary of why things have “gone wrong” for the diverse White European peoples is contained in the phrase:  “We’ve Lost Control of the Message.” Read more

American Renaissance Conference makes news

I returned home late last night from an absolutely exhilarating weekend spent at the American Renaissance Conference! (Here’s the summary of the conference on the AmRen website.)

It was such a delight to meet so many fans of The Political Cesspool Radio Program,several of whom told me they would not have known about the event had it not been for our promotional efforts. We were more than happy to help.

The Racialization of American Politics Continues

Ron Brownstein has another piece on the racialization of American politics (“White like me: Almost all of the people voting in GOP presidential primaries are white. That’s not good for the party—or the nation.”) Brownstein, being a Jewish liberal, sheds crocodile tears about the plight of the Republican Party resulting from its “epic failure … to attract and engage minority voters. White voters, especially older ones, are routinely casting 90 percent or more of the votes in GOP contests this year, at least as high a proportion as in 2008.”

The 2012 election looks to be the most racialized in history (see also here and here).  Brownstein notes that in 2008, Obama was “the first presidential nominee ever to lose white voters by double digits and still win the White House. In 2012, as minorities loom larger in the vote, Obama could lose whites even more lopsidedly and still win reelection.”

Right. And at some point, Republicans are going to realize that they are between a rock and a hard place. If they try to appeal to minorities, they will lose their base. And the more they appeal to their angry White base, the more they drive minorities away. These Whites are uneasy “not only about activist government but also about the demographic changes swelling the minority population.” Indeed, in the absence of some very strong action, these changes will make Whites a minority in the country they once dominated demographically and culturally.  But as Pat Buchanan and others have found out, any mention of the impending minority status of White Americans has been expunged from polite society—including Republican presidential candidates.
