You haven’t killed us off yet. We are still alive and kicking. And Trump’s plan to cut immigration intakes in half and end the flow of cheap imported labor is proof that we are fighting back. Finally.

No longer will we tolerate our the suppression of our wages or the displacement of our jobs by illegal aliens or unskilled immigrants.

No longer will be deceived by the promises of liberals and Leftists who claim to be our advocates, but call us a basket of deplorables and ignoramuses when we don’t sign on to their duplicitous agenda. We know that progressives are the ignorant ones. Ignorant of the tribulations that their open borders policies have inflicted upon us. That is what you get when you swallow your own bath water, the lies of the MSM who tell liberals what they want to hear and exclude the realities that you don’t want to face. That is why the election results took them by surprise.

We know that you, the ‘enlightened’ ones, are not our friends, and neither are the trade union bureaucrats who take our dues but contradict our interests while they speak in our name.  We know that better than any union or political party, the best friend of the working man or woman is a tight labor market, something that Democrats (and Cuckservatives) have worked to prevent for half a century. Their brothers-in-arms outside America, the Socialist, Social Democratic and Labor Parties of Europe, the UK, Canada and Australia have done the same thing too. The Summer 2017 Issue of The Occidental Quarterly Mailing 6/29

The Summer issue will be posted online for download June 21, and they will be posted to the mail 7/6. As you can see from the cover, it’s a very stimulating issue, with several new writers. I call particular attention to the lead article, by Claire Ellis, based on her dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Ricardo Duchesne at the University of New Brunswick. She provides an exhaustive review of the demographic and cultural changes in Europe — and the consequent likelihood of civil war and genocide.

TOQ Summer 2017

 

TOQ fills a unique niche on the right in bringing together scholarly articles on a wide range of topics that are mired in political correctness elsewhere. Because of printing and mailing costs, TOQ has only been able to operate because of generous subsidies from the Charles Martel Society. However, we are on the verge of becoming self-sustaining. This is a very easy and affordable way to help the cause.

As editor, my first priority is to increase the number of subscribers. Subscriptions are $60 for four hardcopy issues (extra for subscribers outside the US), $30 for the electronic version. Here is the link to our subscription page. 

There are quite a few reasons for the precarious state of our civilization and our people. But one of the main ones is that we have lost the intellectual and moral high ground to a cultural elite that is hostile to our people and our culture. The domination of the mass media and the academic world by elites that are hostile to White identity and interests is a major barrier for educated Whites to act on behalf of their interests. White people cower in fear of being called a racist for believing and acting in ways that are absolutely normal and natural for all the other peoples of the world. While other peoples defend themselves, their culture and their borders, societies in Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand that have been controlled by Whites for hundreds of years are the only ones to accept their demise as a moral imperative. We view this outcome as the result of competition over the construction of culture in which the legitimate interests of Whites have been compromised.

A main purpose of TOQ is to change the attitudes of White people so that they will feel confident identifying as White and explicitly asserting their interests as Whites. Politically aware Whites must understand that the elites that dominate culture and the political process in the West are intellectually and morally bankrupt.

All of the scientific data are on our side. Increased ethnic diversity is associated with a host of societal ills, including decreased support for social welfare programs and lack of public trust. Those who argue that Western societies have a unique moral obligation to cede cultural and political control to non-Whites completely ignore the legitimate interests of Whites in maintaining their cultural and political control. No one argues that countries like Korea or Uganda have a moral obligation to allow other peoples to swamp the native population.

Having a large subscriber base will make it possible to for TOQ to be self-sustaining. We have established a policy whereby writers will be paid at rates that are competitive with other well-known journals of political opinion and scholarship. The amount of the stipend is not large. The writers who are putting in all the time and energy producing this material will still be working mainly to make a contribution to the ideas and ideals espoused by the journal. But it is important to get White advocacy beyond the volunteer level and to eventually support a large number of professional White advocates able to effectively compete with the legions of professionals who are able to find employment with our opponents.

Conference in the Netherlands: Towards a New Golden Age

The Dutch alt-right and identitarian group Erkenbrand, which has rapidly grown over the past years, will be organizing a major conference on October 14, 2017. Foreign visitors are very much invited to attend the conference, which will be held in English, as an opportunity to network across borders and foster an international brotherhood of awakened Europeans.

The speakers will include:

– Jared Taylor: a renowned race-realist and White advocate. He is the publisher of American Renaissance and the author of White Identity: Racial Consciousness in the 21st Century.

– Marcus Follin – aka The Golden One: a Swedish body-builder and popular vlogger. He promotes a return to masculinity, martial virtue, and national identity.

– Joost Niemöller: a journalist who has written for leading Dutch newspapers and magazines, while never shying away from controversial topics. His 2012 book The Immigration Taboo: Ten Scientists Discuss the Facts provides a sobering, fact-based look at the costs of immigration to the Netherlands, including loss of social trust and ethnic differentials in IQ, crime rates, and welfare use. The book was widely discussed in Dutch newspapers and television shows. In 2013, he was fired by the Christian-oriented public broadcaster NCRV for an article he wrote on Martin Luther King Memorial Day asking whether differences in IQ could explain the social condition of African Americans. Niemöller, a non-ideologue and self-styled “realist,” has continued to write on controversial topics despite the threats of political correctness.

Right Wing Authoritarianism and Social Dominant Orientation Scales as Liberal/Left Propaganda

Right-Wing Authoritianism (RWA) and Social Dominant Orientation (SDO) are two scales frequently used to measure political attitudes. They aim to redefine authoritarianism and equality respectively by redefining common concepts in such a manner that you would be seen as having a mental disorder if you disagree with the tenets of wealth redistribution and forcing equal outcomes — or indeed, if you simply have Right-leaning views.

The RWA scale was devised by professor Bob Altemeyer of the University of Manitoba as an extension and refinement derived from the California F-scale created by the Frankfurt School’s Theodor Adorno et al. to measure the same construct. Altemeyer spent his entire career attempting to redefine hallmark traits of Liberalism, such as submissiveness to authority and aggression towards those who do not follow the Narrative (a hallmark of antifa), as Right Wing traits exclusively. Altemeyer claims only Right Wingers are capable of authoritarianism, and famous examples of Left Wing authoritarians, such as Lenin, Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc., were actually crypto-Right Wingers. He further claims it is the Right Wing that consistently exhibit errors in cognition and in reasoning, and that they are the political side affiliated with hypocrisy and tend to have contradictory ideals. In The Authoritarians, Altemeyer describes his own usage of Right and Left Wing as “new-fangled” (p.9). Altemeyer thus openly admits playing with words and manipulating meanings to fit his own narrative. The entire work appears to be an exercise in academic sophistry. According to the RWA scale, if you believe in the American values of hard work, education, loyalty, and honesty, you’re a Right Wing Authoritarian, and quite obviously, a racist. Read more

Justin Murphy’s “The psychology of prohibiting outside thinkers”

Here is Justin Murphy describing his background, research, and activism:

Why is there not more rebellion against status quo institutions? How have economic and political processes pacified our capacity for radical collective action? As a political scientist, I am interested in the roles played by information, communication, and ideology in the pacification of political resistance and conflict. Before joining the faculty of Politics and IR at the University of Southampton in the UK, I did my PhD at Temple University in the US. There I was active in Occupy Wall Street, some civil disobedience and shutting down of things, some longer-term campaigns against the big U.S. banks, and sundry other works and deeds, including a radical warehouse project where I lived for nearly three years.

So Murphy is an academic on the left. He is therefore part of the establishment, a card-carrying member of the institutional structure that dominates intellectual discourse in the West. But, unlike the vast majority of his academic brethren, he is quite aware that the left is now the status quo and that it is doing everything it can to preserve its elite status — and that its self-preserving tactics are at base nothing more than irrational assertions of power and privilege. Murphy makes these claims in a blogpost: “The psychology of prohibiting outside thinkers.” Part of the subtitle says it all: “The real motivation of respectable progressivism is managing guilty conscience and conserving bourgeois privileges.”

What’s so refreshing about this is that instead of “exclud[ing] independent right-wing intellectual work on moral grounds,” he would actually “enjoy thinking” with intellectuals on the right. Indeed, moral indictments have become the stock in trade of establishment intellectuals — as noted in my three-part “Moralism and Moral Arguments in the War for Western Survival.” Moral condemnations are easy. No intellectual heavy lifting required. All one need do is appeal to conventional moral intuitions as shaped by the the same institutions that are now the status quo — the media and academic culture. As I note, those who dissent from the status quo are “not only misguided, [they are] malevolent … consumed by hatred, anger and fear towards non-Whites, gays, women and the entire victim class pantheon, or so goes the stereotype And that’s the problem. Being cast as evil means you are outside the moral community. There’s no need to talk with you, no need to be fair, or even worry about your safety. You are like an outlaw in Old Norse society  — ‘a person [who] lost all of his or her civil rights and could be killed on sight without any legal repercussions.’” Read more
