Alexander Dugin’s 4 Political Theory is for the Russian Empire, not for European Ethno-Nationalists

Only a rare few in the alternative right knew Alexander Dugin before the publication and translation of his book, The Fourth Political Theory, in 2012. Suddenly, the contents of this book became the subject of lively discussion and he was hailed as “arguably the most prominent New Right thinker in the world.”  With the exception of Michael O’Meara at Counter Currents, most of the reviews were very positive or at least sympathetic.  After reading reviews, interviews, blogs, articles, and listening to some video lectures by Dugin, I decided to read The Fourth Political Theory (FPT).

Through the first pages, I was fairly impressed by Dugin’s laconic treatment of the way liberalism had created the normative conditions for a humanity predisposed toward a world government in its “glorification of total freedom and the independence of the individual from any kind of limits, including reason, identity (social, ethnic, or even gender), discipline, and so on” (18). With the “liberation” of man from any necessary, pre-ordained membership in any community or identity, and the universal morality of human rights widely accepted, few obstacles now stood in the way of a totalitarian global market.

Dugin is a patriot and I agree that Russia must act as a counter-hegemonic power against the spread of American Hollywood values and the continuing expansion of the EU inside former Soviet territories. Read more

Conversion to White Advocacy: The Social Nexus

Greg Johnson asked me to comment on my conversion to my present political views in his essay on William James’s ideas on religious conversion “The Psychology of Conversion” (December 17, 2013).  I agree with the general point that people who convert have already come to accept a new set of ideas, so that conversion for me was a matter of re-prioritizing beliefs already there. As an evolutionary biologist by training, I was open to the idea that the human mind was shaped by natural selection. I could see that in many ways, particularly in the area of sex differences. But when scientists like J. Philippe Rushton came out with data on race differences in IQ, I saw this work as subject to the same standards of scientific scholarship as any other.

I had long been aware that the opponents of sociobiology were often the same people who made hysterical, blatantly political pronouncements on race differences, and from my days as a graduate student, I was aware that the most prominent among them were Jews in elite academic positions—most notably, Stephen Jay Gould and Richard Lewontin. Much of this then became the focus of Chapter 2 of The Culture of Critique, which may be seen as a sort of intellectual, footnoted version of what started out as a gut level reaction to my surroundings and readings as a graduate student in the 1970s.

And at an even more basic level, an appreciation of the process of evolution makes one aware that the name of the game is competition between different gene pools—a basic idea underlying my writing on Judaism from an evolutionary perspective. Again, the same people who were trashing sociobiology and the science of race differences were creating an evolutionary biology of humans in which fitness (what Frank Salter labels “ethnic genetic interests”), particularly relative fitness between groups, didn’t matter at all. Quite frankly, I became very concerned about the future of the people from my gene pool—would we prosper in the future, or even survive at all. Going the way of the dinosaurs is more than an expression. Where are the Samaritans now? The decline of Whites and their culture is happening with breathtaking speed. As humans, we can decide not to play the evolutionary game. But if you don’t play, you lose. Animals instinctively play the game—they are engineered to do nothing else. But at this point and given the importance of culture for humans (the culture of White pathology), White people have to decide that the game is worth playing and that it is morally acceptable to play. An Identitarian Crisis

Wilmot Robertson’s epic and masterful tome, The Dispossessed Majority, ends with a chapter entitled “Northern European Ingathering” which calls for just that, a kind of “Pax Euramerica.” According to the late Mr. Robertson, only a sense of race-consciousness on that level would be enough to save Whites worldwide against all the forces aligned against them — or rather — us.

I, and presumably most readers, agree with this; the trouble, of course, lies in praxis. For those of you rolling your eyes, do not worry; I am not here going to recycle the issue of getting our ideas heard amongst the political class or inside academia. Those problems concern people dwelling towards the top of society, while I am currently much more in touch and concerned with those at the bottom. My trouble is best illustrated with the anecdote below.

I am currently living in a ghetto that is a mix of Mexicans, Somalis, Blacks, and Whites. It is dangerous, but not unlivable, particularly for someone like me who grew used to environments like it from going to public schools and always taking public transit. I still use public transit almost everyday, being too poor to own a vehicle of my own, and the other day as I was walking to the nearest train station, I made a mistake.

The mistake was getting involved, because as anyone who has ever lived in the ghetto knows, the first rule is to never get involved. Never make eye contact, never give a dollar, never let someone use your phone, etc. I must have been only fifty feet from my train stop when I noticed a group of about ten or so young Black males running from a fallen figure. As I got closer I noticed the figure was a White woman and I could hear her crying. Keeping my eyes to the pavement, I kept heading towards the train; after all, I was going to meet a friend on the other side of town that I do not get to see very often. Then I heard her cry out to me, asking if she could use my phone. Knowing it was a bad idea as I was doing it, I caved and started walking over to her with my phone outreached. Read more

Thoughts on Secession

In a recent column, Pat Buchanan noted that secession is in the air:

While no one takes this movement as seriously as men took secession in 1861, the sentiments behind it ought not to be minimized. For they bespeak a bristling hostility to the federal government and a dislike bordering on detestation of some Americans for other Americans, as deep as it was on the day Beauregard’s guns fired on Fort Sumter. “Stirrings of Secession”

Buchanan frames the issue as part of a general trend:

The West is decomposing. British Tories seek to cut ties to the European Union. Scots want to leave Britain. Catalans vote to divorce from Spain, to which they have been wedded since the 15th century. Flemish talk of leaving Walloons behind in Belgium. Northern Europeans are weary of carrying their profligate southern brethren and muse about cutting Greece adrift and letting it float out into the Mediterranean.

And Americans are already seceding from one another — ethnically, culturally, politically. Middle-class folks flee high-tax California, as Third World immigrants, legal and illegal, pour in to partake of the cornucopia of social welfare benefits the Golden Land dispenses.

High-tax states like New York now send tens of thousands of pension checks to Empire State retirees in tax-free Florida. Communities of seniors are rising that look like replicas of the suburbs of the 1950s. People gravitate toward their own kind. Call it divorce, American-style.

Even if unsuccessful, a vigorous secession campaign in just one state would raise White consciousness, especially if explicitly linked to White interests. Huge nation-wide publicity would be generated if campaigners managed to force a referendum. It follows that this is a prime political goal for the White advocacy movement. Limited resources should be devoted to finding the best candidate state, then getting behind the secession movement. Read more

Stages of Developing a White Advocacy Movement

At present the White Advocacy Movement is in the idea-formation phase, actually well advanced. For example, Frank Salter’s On Genetic Interests and Kevin MacDonald’s trilogy on Judaism and other writings form part of a larger literature that analyses the threats faced by White America and the West in general. That has taken a lot of work, typically in the face of discouragement from colleagues and a blackout in the Mainstream Media.

Idea formation is absolutely critical to modern ethnic and nationalist movements. The general pattern in Europe during the 19th century was that small groups of intellectuals would forge a vision of the national community, e.g. in Germany or Poland, long before politicians expressed that vision in political platforms. The ideas that moved people then and now were not race realism. Neither was it economic profit. It was love of country, of culture and of people. The sentiment is fed by ideas about identity and collective need, and is still one of the most potent forces shaping world politics. In a way such intellectuals can be compared to a brother Grimm as well as a brother Mickiewicz because they are engaged in defining America’s national identity. They and their circles go further by defining national interests, all within a scientific framework. Whiting: ‘White advocate’ teaches at Cal State Long Beach

If Kevin MacDonald is wrong, then one of the most influential civil rights organizations in the nation may be right in branding MacDonald a “neo-Nazi.”

But if MacDonald – considered by many as a leading Aryan intellectual – is correct, heaven help us all.

As the percentage of whites in the U.S. dwindles, the semiretired Cal State Long Beach professor talks of the likelihood of race wars.

With a doctorate in biobehavioral sciences, MacDonald says he merely reports his observations and quickly dismisses the idea that he’s a neo-Nazi. He calls himself a “white advocate.”

Regardless of ideology, I’ll give MacDonald this: Against a firestorm of criticism, including much heat from his own colleagues, the Laguna Hills resident is willing to face his detractors.

A New Call of the Wild: The American Third Position Party

Merlin Miller, A3P candidate for President of the United States

The following is an English translation of an article published in the French magazine RIVAROL (published by  Jérôme Bourbon) on the A3P and it’s presidential candidates.

In the hustle and bustle of the various right wing currents inAmericait is fascinating to observe the recent birth of the American Third Position Party (A3P), a new political party dedicated to the preservation of European cultural, racial and ethnic heritage. The A3P has recently launched a political and cultural program that could make lots of waves at the upcoming presidential elections in America. The silent majority of American citizens is fed up; it is tired of the two-party system of East Coast ‘banksters’ and West Coast culture destroyers, both ruining the country with their destructive ideology of multiculturalism and causing dangerous mutual racial mistrust amidst the American body politic. Everybody wants something new.

The A3P offers a patriotic alternative to the two parties which, similar to subprime shams, have also mortgaged the future of America. Over the last forty years, American politics has been shaped by the plutocratic system and by the two identical political machines, under the guise of the Republican Party and the Democrat party respectively. It is always the Same and its Double poorly mimicked — if we were to   borrow some words from the French philosopher of postmodernity, Jean Baudrillard. Both parties seem to be united in the ruthless dogma of the “third excluded”, as well as in the defamation of those who reject the media swamp of “political correctness.” Read more
