Uzbeks setting up a road block to stop the Kyrgyz

Ethnic tensions between native Kyrgyz and the Uzbek minority still simmer in Kyrgyzstan. The country of 5 million is an obscure Central Asian nation, one that only the most geographically astute would be able to pinpoint on a map.  It is home to just one of literally dozens of ethnic conflicts that have wracked former Soviet Union countries.

A year ago, the tensions reached a deadly boiling point, culminating in riots and pogroms that left 400, mostly Uzbeks, dead. Though the unrest was quelled, the Uzbek community still live in fear, voluntarily ghettoised as they fear for their safety when leaving their various enclaves. There has been an exodus of wealthy and educated Uzbeks.

The Soviet Union represented the most ambitious attempt in history to mix a mass of different racial, ethnic, national and linguistic groups together, whether they liked it or not. ‘Multiculturalism’ was alive and unwell there long before it became the mantra of the West. This giant empire once comprised of, besides Russia itself, what have now become 15 independent countries.

From Mongolia in Asia to Lithuania in Europe, a myriad of different ethnic groups and religions were subsumed into the USSR, and mandated to think of themselves not as Kyrgyz, Latvians, Muslims or Orthodox Christians, but as “Soviet Citizens.” Read more

Ethnic Pressure on Hollywood for Diversity

There is no question that Hollywood is internally driven to promote diversity, as shown, for example, in two recent TOO movie reviews: James Edwards’ Driving Miss Ditzy: Review of The Help and Edmund Connelly’s “Unstoppable: Why I write.” Typical movies and TV fare not only turn on diversity themes, like The Help, but so much of it has relatively subtle pro-diversity messages, like bit parts for counter-stereotypical Blacks in otherwise all-White programming. The 24/7/365 propaganda machine.

But the other side of  the coin is that the media industry is under a great deal of pressure to promote diversity from outside activist groups, as illustrated by a recent LATimes article “Concerns about lack of minorities in NBC’s family; Latino groups raise an issue with KNBC, and NBC’s fall schedule shows a reversal from characters’ ethnic diversity last season.” Latino groups are upset that a Latino anchor on the local NBC affiliate was removed, so they don’t  have any Latino anchors. The altruistic and high-minded activist groups (who want these companies to hire more people like themselves) were able to get a memorandum of understanding with NBC to “recruit and retain more Latinos so that their workforces more accurately reflect the communities they serve.” So much for the idea that  immigrants only do jobs Americans won’t do. Executives are “are scrambling to address the concerns”–doubtless backed up with an implicit threat of a lawsuit or problems in renewing licenses if nothing is done.

Incidentally, one strategy that TV stations use to have their cake and eat it too is to hire White people with Spanish-sounding names. Here’s Carlos Granda, the reporter from KABC who interviewed me on the Breivik thing:

The Run-up for the Riots in London

For some politically correct people, the riots in London of the last few days, which by now have spread to the rest of England, may come as a surprise. Actually, it is surprising the riots did not break out earlier, although a lot of news concerning ethnic violence is suppressed by the authorities and the media. A careful study of the newspapers and other different newsmedia shows us that the omens were there.

In 1995 the London Metropolitan Police Commissioner Paul Condon suggested that most robbers in London were Black. The 1990s were the high water mark of political correctness and multiculturalism and it is no surprise that Condon’s remarks were not met with concern, but with accusations of racism. In 1999, one year after Condon left, the Metropolitan Police was the subject of an inquiry — the Macpherson report — with the result that the Metropolitan Police was branded as ‘institutionally racist’. In other words: the police should chase anybody but Black criminals.  Read more

Charles Bloch: Is Being Anti-White Good for the Jews?

It’s refreshing to see Charles Bloch discuss “anti-white Jews in his recent VDARE.com article (“Race Realism: Good for the Jews, Good for America“). He also acknowledges that

it is undeniable that Jews are vastly overrepresented in a number of anti-Western political and intellectual movements, such as liberalizing our immigration policy, suppressing legitimate scientific study of racial differences, and promoting anti-white discrimination. [links in original]

And that’s important because,  given their wealth and influence in the media, politics, and the academic world, at the very least Jews are an imposing component of the anti-White status quo in all of these areas. These anti-White attitudes are entirely mainstream among Jews; they pervade the organized Jewish community. What’s difficult is finding Jews like Bloch who honestly acknowledge what is a taboo subject for Jews. For his trouble he will doubtless be labeled a “self-hating Jew’ or worse by the organized Jewish community. It’s the sort of thing that has resulted in the SPLC labeling me a “virulent anti-Semite.” Read more

White Dispossession and the Racialization of American Politics Accelerate

Ron Brownstein’s aptly named “The Next America” is a tale of increasingly rapid White dispossession. Key quotes:

From every angle, the results showed that the nation’s transformation into a “majority-minority” nation is proceeding even faster than expected. Nationally, the overall share of the non-Hispanic white population dropped from 69.1 percent in 2000 to 63.7 in 2010, a greater decline than most analysts anticipated. In a mirror image, the minority population grew from 30.9 percent in 2000 to 36.3 percent in 2010.

Given that the White percentage includes Jews and Middle Eastern people who do not identify as White (or vote like most Whites), the White population of European descent is likely below 60%.

The change over the past decade was especially dramatic among young people. In the new census, 46.5 percent of people under 18 were minority, a dramatic jump from 39.1 percent in 2000. As recently as last summer, demographers projected that minorities would make up a majority of the under-18 population sometime after 2020. At the current rate of growth, however, nonwhites will comprise a majority of children in the United States by 2015. And because of the explosive minority growth in the youth population—the people who will form families and become parents in the coming years—the nonwhite share of the overall population is likely to grow even faster over the next decade, says Brookings Institution demographer William Frey. Harold Covington’s Northwest Quartet

In 1989, prolific British writer Paul Johnson published Intellectuals offering case studies of a string of intellectuals, beginning with Jean-Jacques Rousseau and then Shelley, Marx, Ibsen, Tolstoy, Hemingway, Bertolt Brecht, Bertrand Russell, Sartre, right on down to more modern public thinkers. Johnson’s point is that however much these men (and Lillian Hellman) might have professed love of “humanity” and “progress,” they were rats to the actual people around them.

For example, Johnson wrote of the poet Shelley:

Any moth than came near his fierce flame was  singed. His first wife, Harriet, and his mistress, Fay Godwin, both committed suicide when he deserted them. In his letters he denounced their actions roundly for causing him distress and inconvenience. . . .  His children by Harriet were made wards of the court. He erased them completely from his mind, and they never received  a  single word from their father. Another child, a bastard, died in  a  Naples foundling hospital where he had abandoned her.

Of Karl Marx, the self-professed savior of the working man, Johnson wrote: He seduced his wife’s servant, begot a son by her, then forced Friedrich Engels to assume paternity. Marx’s daughter Eleanor once let out a cri de coeur in a letter: “Is it not wonderful, when you come to look things squarely in the face, how rarely we  seem to practice all the fine things we  preach—to others?” She later committed suicide.

Johnson concluded that we must “Beware intellectuals.” “Not only should they be kept well away from the levers of power, they should also be objects of particular suspicion when they seek to offer collective advice.” Read more
