James Edwards of The Political Cesspool at a Donald Trump Rally in Memphis

I attended a Donald Trump rally in Memphis on Saturday night as a fully credentialed member of the media and enjoyed the unique experience of being able to air a live broadcast of The Political Cesspool Radio Program from inside the press pen while the event was in full swing. (Next Saturday’s show [March 5] will feature a previously taped 20-minute interview with Donald Trump, Jr.) It was a very memorable day and I’d now like to take my audience behind the scenes.

After receiving my credentials from the campaign, I was instructed to get there early for set-up and to go through security. At approximately 1:30 PM I arrived at the Millington Regional Airport, where the rally was to be held inside one of the hangars. There was already a long line of supporters waiting to gain entry even though I was on-scene nearly five hours before Trump ascended to the podium. With rock music blaring and people tailgating in the parking lot it felt very much like a college football atmosphere. There were plenty of vendors hawking Trump merchandise, but the most impressive display was a concession stand offering the “Make America Great Again Trump Burger.” Naturally, this monster featured 100% American beef and 100% American cheese. Other items being offered included the “Ted Cruz Burger” (which featured Canadian Bacon), Bernie Sanders Pork Nachos, and Hillary Clinton SOFT drinks — that had been scrubbed clean.

I was fortunate to be able to bypass the crowd and long line by parking in a VIP area designated for members of the press, which was located directly behind the hangar. When I got out of my car I almost immediately ran into Trump beat reporter Katy Tur of NBC News. Katy first became known to me a couple of months ago after watching an interview she did with Trump.I must say though that she comes across as having an overall pleasant personality on television, and she was most certainly a sweetheart when we talked. Interestingly, she is the former girlfriend of Keith Olbermann, who once referred to me as “the worst person in the world” on his unimpressive and now thankfully canceled television show. Read more

Jeff Gates Revisited: Deception at the Oscars

It was like meeting an old friend after a long absence. I’ve been listening to this top-notch radio interview show for about a year now, going back further and further into their archives for new interviews. Lo and behold, I found one from Feb. 2015 that featured the author of one of my favorite books!

First, I was elated that the author is still focusing on the same topic. Second, I learned that a new book on this topic is in the offing. Trust me, this is reason for celebration for the Occidental Observer crowd.

GuiltIn early 2009, I ran across the book Guilt by Association: How Deception and Self-Deceit Took America to War. The author of this 2008 book is Jeff Gates, and he’s a fascinating  — and very rare — Washington insider, because he is heavily on page with respect to Jewish issues.

I wrote a review of the book seven years ago here and followed it up with a shorter blog here.  Today, I’ll draw from both of those reviews, as well as last year’s Internet radio interview. Without a doubt, Gates is a man worth listening to.

For starters, he’s a highly accomplished man, having served as a convoy commander in Vietnam, followed by law school. Later, he spent seven years as counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance, and in that capacity he was responsible for much of the federal law on pensions and on employee stock ownership plans, which are now in place in roughly ten thousand U.S. corporations, covering approximately 10 percent of the U.S. workforce. He later practiced law with Senator Russell Long of Louisiana and Senator Paul Laxalt of Nevada, who chaired Ronald Reagan’s three presidential campaigns. In addition, he has been an investment banker, advising the governments of thirty-five countries on financial matters. Read more

Die Multikultiutopie unserer Politiker trägt einen anderen falschen Namen, nämlich das Unwort „Willkommenskultur“, obwohl der richtige Name auf gut Deutsch „Kultur der Selbstabschaffung“, „Schuldkultur“ oder „Selbsthasskultur“ heißen sollte. Was heute mit dem Wort „Willkommenskultur“ bezeichnet wird, hat gar nichts zu tun mit der althergebrachten europäischen Willkommenskultur. Die heutige Willkommenskultur ist bloß ein liberalistischer Ersatz für das gescheiterte kommunistische Projekt. Was einst die Kommunisten in Osteuropa mit ihrer Gewaltherrschaft nicht erzwingen konnten, will das heutige System mit seiner Ersatzideologie des Multikulturalismus erreichen. Where is Prince Eugene? Multicultural Madness and the End of Europe

Below is my text-speech translated from the German original into English, delivered on February 20, 2016 in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt, at a rally against non-European migration. The anti-immigrant demonstration was organized by “the Identitarians” (IB) (Identitäre Bewegung), a rapidly growing cultural-political movement in Austria  The IB rally was attended by approximately 700 people from all walks of life and all ages, including groups of younger people from Croatia and Slovenia. Approximately 100 police cordoned off the IB rally to keep them apart from the approximately 150 antifascist (“Antifa”) demonstrators marching several hundred yards away. My speech in the German language was held on the steps of the entrance to the city hall and lasted 30 minutes. The Antifa protesters, who could neither be seen nor heard from where I stood, were holding some posters including the one with the Yugoslav communist flag which read “Tito proved how to take out the Nazis” — a vicious threat indeed. Next day I emailed a letter to the mayor of Klagenfurt and to the Austrian federal police with the copies sent to hundreds of different media outlets and politicians in Austria, complaining about the Antifa deaths threats against the IB rally participants. However, during the IB rally no incidents were reported. The Austrian mainstream media, other than the Antifa websites, reported relatively objectively about the entire affair.

Ladies and gentlemen:

Everything always turns around the correct or incorrect definition of political concepts. We call ourselves freedom-loving people concerned about the future of our European identity. Our opponents, however, call us Nazis, racists and xenophobes. From our experience, from my own experience in the former Yugoslavia and in multicultural America, as well as my reading of the research of many sociologists, multicultural states tend to survive for only a short while. Sooner or later they end up in civil wars. My reference point is the artificially cobbled together state of Yugoslavia which ended up in shatters — despite its many academic well-wishers and all the eulogies written on behalf of its constituent peoples.

Today’s migration chaos has officially been given the false name of “the refugee crisis.” Out of thousands and hundreds of thousands of migrants flocking to Austria, most are not refugees at all. They are “refugees” only in so far as were labelled as such in advance by the Austrian ruling class and media. Oddly enough, these migrants do not apply for asylum in Turkey or elsewhere on the proverbial route through the Balkans. All are eager to come to Germany. They imagine Austria, Germany and Sweden as La-La lands (“Schlaraffenland”) where they can live well and have their way with beautiful girls at will. But, hold it ladies and gentlemen! These migrants must not be blamed for their false perceptions; it is our politicians with their self-deceptive illusions who trigger such wishful thinking among the migrants. Read more

From Communist to Neoconservative: The Ethnic Blindness of David Aaronovitch

aaronovitch1A sepia-tinted picture of life in the Communist Party in post-war London is painted in Party Animals, a memoir by neoconservative journalist David Aaronovitch whose father was a full-time communist organiser and whose non-Jewish mother was equally staunch.

Today Aaronovitch is a fashionable neoconservative who backed Britain’s involvement in George W Bush’s wars and now rails against a variety of predictable targets from boycotts of Israel to Vladimir Putin. He flits easily from perch to perch in the establishment media and is currently a feature writer with The Times.

It is a fairly predictable progression for this modern day establishment figure.  His family lived in the well-to-do, leafy Hampstead in a neighbourhood filled with like-minded Jewish families. The Communist Party life was a world within a world with its own travel agencies, daily newspapers, and bookshops. There were party doctors, dentists, plumbers — all overwhelmingly Jewish. It was a Jewish subculture of the sort that sprang up throughout the Jewish diaspora in the West: The comrades were born into it, married within it, and died within it.  And yet the strangest thing is that no-one ever seems to have asked — “Hang on? Why is everyone Jewish? Isn’t this all a bit like a Polish shtetl?” Read more

“The Return of Odysseus” by Michael Walker

This is a well-written and highly readable play, and I got through it in a couple of normal working days. It tells the famous Homeric tale of the prolonged absence and final return of the eponymous Greek hero to his home island, and the resulting revenge he exacts on the unruly suitors of his wife, Penelope.

Author Michael Walker is well known in nationalist circles as the editor of Scorpion magazine, a publication which first began the not particularly easy task of introducing the ideas of the European New Right to an English-speaking audience back in the 1990s.

For this reason it a may be difficult to read this play as it should be read, namely as a purely “metapolitical” work, that is one in which the message is an indistinguishable part of the art. Instead, like me, you may feel a tendency to read it politically, and to interpret certain lines as referring to specific contemporary nationalist issues.

But while political consciousness and an awareness of the writer’s sympathies may detract from a perfect metapolitical reading, I have to say I rather enjoyed these “political flashes,” and many here will also enjoy them, I am sure.

For example, in Act Two, Scene Two, Mentor, a member of the Assembly of Ithaca, describes the sorry state that the island kingdom has fallen into since the monarch’s absence:

There is not one palace which is plundered, but the entire land. Ithaca is growing sick while the tapeworms of the market grow fat on a land for which they never fought, which they never tend and never loved. The homeland has almost as many immigrants as natives. No one respects the Ithacan customs. The children are hardened and use the lowest language of the streets. The public coffers are plundered by parasites and aliens. Money is made by distortion and usury. Honest work is badly paid. The richest men are middlemen and speculators. The labourer is poor. (p. 128)

Reading these words, it is not ancient Ithaca that rises before your mental eye, but modern Britain, or some other “enriched” part of the West. One is almost surprised not to find a reference to Muslim grooming gangs! But, then, a piece of rhetorical eloquence or a classical reference snaps you back to the ancient story world in which this is set, and, from a thinly disguised satire on our diseased modern times, the story assumes once again the elegance of timeless tragedy. Volkmar Sigusch (1940-), può non essere un nome familiare per i lettori di The Occidental Observer, ma dovrebbe esserlo per quelli interessati all’assalto moderno agli atteggiamenti tradizionali di genere e alla sessualità. Potreste aver incontrato il termine ‘cisgender’, una creazione di Sigusch che sta rapidamente guadagnando aderenza nel linguaggio comune. Per chi non la conoscesse, è arrivata a sostituire “normale”, e anche il termine ‘eterosessuale’, più simpatico ai deviati. In particolare, il termine si riferisce a coloro che “sentono una corrispondenza tra il sesso loro assegnato e il genere che sentono di essere. Sei cisgender se il certificato di nascita dice che sei maschio e ti identifichi come un uomo”. L’obiettivo dietro l’invenzione di un’etichetta così bizzarra e contorta per ciò che è naturale e sano, è, naturalmente, diluire ulteriormente l’identità di questa e delle generazioni future, e convincerci tutti che non c’è “normale”, solo posizioni diverse all’interno di un arcobeleno sempre più colorato.

Indebolendo il significato di ciò che significa essere maschio e femmina, si mina il concetto sano della famiglia. E quando il concetto sano della famiglia posseduto da un dato gruppo è minato, il gruppo è spinto sempre più vicino al genocidio tramite (utilizzando il lessico delle Nazioni Unite) “inflizione intenzionale di condizioni di vita intese a provocare la sua distruzione fisica totale o parziale” e “imporre misure volte a prevenire le nascite”. Il raccolto eccezionale di termini come ‘cisgender’, proposto con allarmante frequenza dai “sessuologi”, aiuta a ridurre il matrimonio tra un uomo e una donna, e la crescita dei bambini all’interno di tale unione, ad una semplice “opzione” su un vero e proprio menù di possibili sessualità, identità di genere, e strutture familiari.
